Due to poor organization and standards this daycare fed my then 1 year old son his known allergen which triggered anaphylaxis and required them to call 911 to have an ambulance take him to the ER. I booked an appointment to tour the daycare before I enroll my daughter. I was honestly considering this center since it is only few blocks away from our house until I determined the pros and ALOT OF CONS. 1. The center director is not there. She is barely there. The assistant director Ms. Daisy is so nice and able to tour us to the center. She is very knowledgeable and able to explain to me everything concerning the center. 2. I was doing the tour in the toddler room. There is a lot of kids as they told me that the ratio is 1:12 (1teacher per 12 students). The room was so messy. ALL THE LINENS ARE JUST STACK IN ONE PLACE. The moment that you enter the room IT STINKS . The bathroom seems like it hasn't been cleaned as it smells like the pee is been there for so long. UNTIL I GOT HOME I CAN LITERALLY SMELL IT IT WAS A LINGERING SMELL. I would not even use their blankets and mat that was provided as you do not even know how they really sanitize the area. If they can't take care of the kids hygiene imagine the stuffs that is being use in the center. 3. All the kids that was going to the toddler room. You can see them in line but all of them has runny nose. They don't even wipe it. All of the kids mucus are all the way on their mouth. One kid actually had green mucus dried up already. I can't believe that they don't even wipe up the kids. PARENTS SHOULD SHOW UP IN RANDOM TIMES TO SEE WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THEIR KIDS. I'm scared that they will only wipe my daughter when it is about time to get pick up just to make sure it looks presentable to the parents. 4. Their center is extremely expensive compare to other kinder care centers. I looked into the other KinderCare center and they are a lot cheaper than this one. I WOULD REALLY CHECK IT OUT BEFORE ENROLLING YOUR KIDS. IT IS THE SAFETY OF THE KIDS. read more

My child currently attends this Kindercare and I could not be more impressed with the whole operation. Every morning, whether myself or my partner drop off our child we are always greeted with a good morning and a genuine smile by one of the amazing administrative staff. Miss Amanda and Miss Daisy are awesome. Enough cannot be said. Miss Amanda is always available if we ever need to speak with her, even if she happens to be in a classroom. And if for some reason we cannot connect then she never fails to get back to either of us. As for the classrooms themselves, they are always well organized, clean, and decorated with the themes and subjects current to the curriculum. It never feels chaotic. Amanda the director did not make my daycare experience what it needed to be. She left my account in debt because of lack of communication. Did not even try to help me resolve this issue. Honestly hope a better experience for the next daycare. Very unorganized and my baby was left with diaper rashes, wrong bottles were being sent home and my biggest one was the amount of "ouchies" my baby got in the little span of being there. My son is in the toddler class and he started here in September 2022. Drop offs were difficult the first few days. Within the 1st week he would jump out of my arms to go with Ms. Veronica or Ms. Maria . They make him feel loved and cared for. It helps get rid of the mom guilt I feel sometimes for working full time. I know my son is well cared for while I'm at work. My son is a little extra work, he is developmentally delayed . I am so grateful for all of the toddler teachers who take the time and have the patience to care for him while I work. Where to start my toddler currently attends KinderCare in Anaheim I'm absolutely in love with the program and the staff Miss Daisy and Miss Amanda are always willing to help and especially when you're in a rush heading to work and my toddlers crying they're always willing to step in and to calm my child down. My toldder has been coming for almost 2 years. I can't thank the stuff enough of how careful and attentive and how active they are with the kids. I always recommend my family and friends to this center because I know how amazing and how hard they work to keep their center clean and full of fun activities. This was the first daycare my son ever attended It was not a great experience for either of us. First of all, they would randomly close early a lot of the time. I would be at work and get a message saying we had to pick up by 3 because they were understaffed. He cried every day - the staff made me believe it was due to the fact that he was being dropped off at lunch time versus 8am. He already didn't want to be there. There's no way I would've added hours to his day. I usually picked him up by 5pm. The one day I did drop him off early (8am) he was in room 3, I arrived to pick him up at noon, which is much earlier than normal & to my surprise, I could hear his teacher scolding him to go to his cot and lay down (it was nap time). I opened the door and the teacher was stunned to see me, she didn't say a word. I took my son, with a puffy face from crying all morning and tears running down his face. I asked for his water bottle and said he wouldn't be returning because I was pulling him out. Because the Site Director is hardly ever on site & the assistant was on vacation, I had to send them both an email & didn't even get a response until a week + later, when I called to personally complain. I truly believe this experience ruined his daycare experience & trust for other adults to meet his needs. He his now in a new center that is CLEAN, doesn't smell like pee. Teachers are warm and welcoming, Director is always on site & available. My son is happy and thriving - he asks to go to daycare and talks about his teachers on our way home. He's 3. My son has attended this center as an infant until now and I have to say I am beyond grateful for the amazing supportive teachers he has had along the way. The teachers there have made such an important impact in his development and growth. My child attends this daycare and I can assure you each and every teacher really cares about all of the kids that attend. My daughter loves her class room, her teacher and all of her friends. She always expresses her feelings about her days and I've never had a complaint. Plus the kindercare app always updates me on what my daughter does throughout the day, when she uses the restroom, when she eats what she eats, and when she takes a nap including how long she slept for. I even get some pictures of her throughout the day. That really puts me at ease. Already having a curious mind his time spent in the learning adventures program has only helped that curiosity blossom. Hello Parents, My only child has been coming here since he was 3 months old. The care and love he has received since day one has made us feel very comfortable to bring him back each day. He just turned 2 and he loves his teachers, he hugs them when he arrives and when he leaves. He's learned sign language as an infant and now hes talking, knows his animal sounds and colors. On some days we get photos to see what he is doing and it really makes us happy that he is happy. KinderCare on South really tries to get the families involved as well by having family nights at the center; Luau's, Harvest Fest, and other fun Holiday events. Every month a new calendar is posted to show you what is planned on certain days, for example" Pajama Day's, Cookie Making Day, National Days, ect. Wanted to leave some love for South Street Kinder Care. We have had our daughter here since she was 3 months old and have been so impressed with the care and love they show our child. As first time parents, they walked us through the transitions and made the process incredibly easy. If you are looking for a place with structure and support, this is the place. They set high expectations for your children and hold them to it. While some can see the structure as impersonal, we have seen our daughter thrive. The curriculum and planned activities exceeded our expectations. Especially in the summer there is always something fun or creative our daughter is doing. Also wanted to respond to others comment regarding Ms. Jessica. She was been FANTASTIC with our daughter and feels like family. The entire infant teacher crew have been instrumental in shaping our daughter. Hello all parents Here is a safe place for your babies. Staff is reliable and I trust them with my 4 yr. old son. It's small, so knowing most staff is fairly easy. Staff also has their own children there. Schedule is great as they provide nap time along w. 3 meals/day b-fast, lunch, n snack. Also they stay open until 6:30pm for those who work late. My daughter has been attending this center for almost 2 months and I am very pleased with this location. Before enrolling her, Summer (Center Director) and Veronica (Assistant Director) were extremely professional and prepared for my visit and had a tour prepared before I arrived. They each were very informative aware of everything going on during the day throughout the center (not just sitting in the front office) I love that the faculty knows all the children, not just the ones in their class. Everyone is very friendly and the teachers truly love their job. My daughters reading has developed greatly in just a short time and she remains excited to learn. Ms Daisy and especially Ms Julie are amazing and I love what they bring to the center. My child was previously with another center...but this location sets the standard! read more

Since day one my experience at South Street daycare has been a very great. All the staff is very friendly, respectful and most important, they genuily care for the children. I have always been treated with respect Prior to COVID-19, I enjoyed going into her classroom & talking/sharing about what was going on with my little one. I love their app, as i can check anytime how her day is going, love the shared photos. Very greatfull it remained open during pandemic shut down. And appreciate all safety precaution measures they have taken to keep their staff & children safe. My son (4 yr) wound up being kicked out of his previous school (due to the staff at said school not knowing how to manage or understand his ADHD and Autism) this wound up being a blessing in disguise because I found this school (and I'm am so glad). Now I'm actually happy that my son was kicked out of his old school because it led me to south street KinderCare. He no longer cries about going to school and that is because the teachers actually treat him with compassion. He has his joy for school back which he lost while at his old school. My daughter was 11 months old and they wanted to transfer her to the toddler's room. My daughter couldn't walk, she didn't know how to eat with her hands, and still needed a bottle, and a crib. I went in on a Wednesday after 2 days of pulling her out because she was sick and I come back and they told me they gave her infant crib to another baby. That she will just have to "tough it out" in the toddler room because they gave her spot in the infant room away to another baby. They further added that my 11-month old was "endangering" the other infants because she could stand up. Plus they said that milk bottles were not permitted in the toddler room so my daughter will have to go without her formula. I was appalled and pulled my daughter out of this place by noon and never came back. So I just wasted ~$300 for that week on no childcare. I later found out what they were doing was completely against the law. They can't put an 11-month old baby in the toddler room. The baby must be a minimum age of 12 month old and be able to walk. They're "it's ok to let the kid go hungry" policy is also a violation too. I would have called the state on them but I noticed parents at this daycare doesn't seem to complain much so I transferred my daughter to another Kindercare location ... a location where the parents DO care to complain and call the state whenever something is violated. My daughter is now in the Irvine Kindercare location and has been ever since. She is thriving there with excellent care and she NEVER goes hungry at the Irvine Kindercare location. She is currently 19 months old. One BIG thing I learned is that daycare changes on a dime. The director and individual teachers are critical. If you get ONE bad teacher it doesn't matter how awesome all the other teachers are. And there are GOOD teachers at this location on South Street, which was one of the reason I chose this place. If you have no choice but to drop off your child at this location, then KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! If they tell you "we do it to all the other kids" or "no one else complains" then those are BIG RED FLAGS. Having an infant crawl around on an outdoor cement is NOT RIGHT. If your kid is extra tired and wants to sleep longer, the daycare does NOT have the right to wake your child up. I learned the hard way and after talking to other parents who's talked to the state, I KNOW what my child's rights are. And I was fortunate my daughter was only there for 2 months when it finally dawned on me that she was getting sick way too often and that she was uncomfortable with certain teachers there. So if you're ever in doubt, call the state daycare licensing agent. Our big mistake was calling the Kindercare Corporate office. The office just gave us the run-around. ----- P.S. I asked if the Irvine Kindercare was going to let my daughter crawl on outdoor cement, they were AGHAST at the thought. They said that's just NOT safe, they can cut themselves easily on rocks and stuff. They do have a grassy area just for infants but they always makes sure they remain on the clean picnic blanket. Only infants that can stand can attempt to step on the grass. Otherwise it's crawling on the blankets for all the other babies. read more

I can't say much about the child care but I can say something about the B who runs this place. I saw a job listing ad for this place and they were looking for preschool teachers & teachers' aides. I came in to inquire and apply. I went to the front and asked, but then this lady comes whom I assume is the director and basically starts SCOLDING me about early childhood development units and that they don't need any more teachers' aides. Then why was it stated in the ad that they were looking? Even if they weren't looking, she could've said it in a better way without speaking to me like a child. Incredibly rude, I couldn't believe it. If she treats strangers like this, I wonder how she treats the kids. read more

My 5 month old daughter has been attending South Street Kindercare for the past 2 months and it's been a very positive experience. I like that the infant room class size is small and only has infants from 6 weeks to 12 months before they are moved to a separate toddler room. Other centers I toured combined infant and toddlers up to 2 years. My daughter is always happy and recently fed with a clean diaper when I pick her up. The teachers in the infant room are very attentive and love on my baby like their own which really warms my heart. I never worry after dropping my baby off as I know she is in excellent care for the day. The entire staff makes you feel welcomed and you really feel like you're family there. I highly recommend if you are looking for experienced infant care with caring teachers. read more

My son has been going to South Street KinderCare since he was 16 weeks old. They gave my husband and I a tour and reviewed all of the safety policies they have in place which was important to us. More importantly, they reviewed their baby curriculum with us to ensure that my son was stimulated and learning everyday. The teachers are also bilingual which was also valuable for us. Every time I pick up or drop off my son, the teachers know him by name and recap his day in person (they don't just rely on his daily intake form to communicate with us). They have great family programs, and if it wasn't sit KinderCare we would have no Santa Christmas photos this year! I could not recommend South Street enough! read more

My daughter started going to daycare at 5 months old. Unfortunately our first experience (at a different daycare) was absolutely traumatizing. I pulled her out without notice and went on the hunt for a new daycare. I looked at several places but absolutely fell in love during my tour at South Street KinderCare. My now 9-month-old daughter has been in their infant room for exactly two months. Although the tuition is steep, it does include 2 snacks and 2 meals (breakfast and lunch). My daughter has had all kinds of different food exposure and has been loving it, from ravioli, to sweet and sour chicken, to hummus and pita bread, all cooked onsite at the KC kitchen. The infant room is bright, big, and set up in a way that encourages exploration. Every month we get a newsletter telling us what our kids will be focusing on for the month, and they each have personalized goals and curriculum too. The room is decorated with pictures of the babies, and things are labeled in both English and Spanish and the kids get exposure to both. My little girl has adjusted so well to her School that she even goes on Fridays when I'm off work. The communication between parents and teachers is great, and all the staff at KC know your child by name (even if they teach in another room). In the beginning I called in frequently to check on my daughter bc of our first experience, and Ms. Veronica, Ms. Marissa, and Ms. Summer (front office/Director) never let me feel like I was being annoying and always encouraged me to check in as frequently as I need to. My baby has her own drawer and crib on the infant room, and they practice safe sleep. Babies go down in the crib when sleeping, with a teacher sitting in the area watching them. When they wake up, they are immediately taken out of the crib so they don't feel restricted. Ms. Kim, Ms. Grace, Ms. Gloria, and Ms. Jessica are like a second family to my Eden. Her favorite teacher is Ms. Jessica and she loves her like no other! I've loved watching my girl grow and learn in the last couple of months. My husband recently lost his job and we are doing everything we can to keep Eden in school because she is thriving so much. A few times Eden has come home with incident reports, but they are always documented and shared. No one has ever tried to hide anything, and as a parent I understand that sometimes my child will have a little scratch or bump and that's okay. I appreciate the openness and honesty, and there have even been times when I never would have known she got a booboo but they still let me know. I definitely, 100% trust the staff at KinderCare with my child, and am so excited to watch her grow there. read more

I absolutely love kindercare... I have two children that attended here. my oldest is in the kindergarten class and my youngest is in the infant room. I have been with kindercare for almost two years and I wouldn't trust anyone but them with my kids. The open door policy is great I do pop-ups all the time and even go breastfeed my youngest on my lunch breaks.. Ms. Dasiy is my sons favorite teacher, she take the time to get to know all the kids and the needs of each child which is amazing... I had really bad postpartum depression after I had my youngest and every teacher did their very best to make me feel comfortable.. I really Dont know how I would have made it through that rough time without them but mostly Mrs.Kim... I have had my children at this location for over 2 years and can't say enough wonderful things about everything. The layout of the school is cute, nice courtyard, big rooms with tons of light. The staff is like family and really know every child no matter if they are in their class or not. And the leadership staff really takes the time to make it special (fun family events, classes, and more). I have my masters in Early Childhood Education so I know what to look for in a school. They do tend to be full so get on their waitlist, you wont regret it. read more

My youngest daughter has been attending Kindercare for a little over a year now and my eldest has also done the school aged after school program. I can't say enough of how VERY, VERY pleased I am with the program thus far. Not only their teachers but ALL of the staff is extremely caring and go above and beyond to make my child's experience the best everyday. I am happy that my daughter is part of this National Accredited School we call home away from home. Their daily/weekly curriculum is extraordinary and my daughter has learned so much. Not only I've noticed it but my family has also mentioned of how smart and knowledgeable my daughter is for a 4 yr old and wish they lived closer so that the other little ones of our family could attend. I also really like that the meals (breakfast and lunch) are nutritious and cooked on site daily in their kitchen. They also serve two snacks a day. Not only they have a lot of different activities and events for your child and family throughout the year (holiday program, luau's, movie nights, etc.) but they also offer other fun optional classes like cooking, soccer, dance and more. Not to mention their summer program which has lots of FUN FUN activities. This really is just a short summary of the things we have enjoyed of the program but if you are looking for quality care for your child, I invite you to take a tour of the facility and see for yourself everything Kindercare has to offer as soon as possible and you'll see how happy all the children are no matter what time of day you go in. I wanted to end with a quick tip/recommendation: You know how when you go to a good restaurant there is usually a bit of a wait. My baby Jazlene just started going to KinderCare last week and she did great! Even though she is only two months old she has a curriculum in her classroom and the teachers are always singing to all the babies. I especially love how all the teachers treat the babies as if they were their own. Jazlene loves her momma Kim, not only her but Ms. Grace, Ms. Gloria and the other teachers that occasionally are there to help Ms. Crystal and Ms. Cindy. I would not chose anywhere else to take my daughter, South street KinderCare makes you feel as if you're part of the family and you know the teachers there will take good care of your child.
