There are so many incredible things to say about Bumble Bee, I could just go on and on. Our son has been going here since he was 2 1/2 years old! Now 5 and about to leave for kindergarten this month. From the very first day up until today we feel so safe and confident with his care. The teachers go above and beyond for the kids! A major plus is that the school is always SO clean and tidy!! My son has learned so much and without a doubt I know he's going to thrive in Kinder from all knowledge he's gained at Bumble Bee! ABC's, shapes, colors, numbers, writing, crafts...they do it ALL!! I have bins and bins of saved artwork that come home almost daily! There's always something fun happening too, from dress up days to themed holiday parties, water play days. Your kid will have such a blast! There's never been a doubt in my mind that my son wasn't well cared for. The last day we have to say goodbye won't be an easy one. I had to update my review. I found myself running back to Bumblebee several times each year, especially because the Summer Program was so fun and perfect for us with our busy schedule. I really stand firmly behind this school because they paved the way for my son's success when he had to move on. Other schools we had tried were super lax about potty training but Bumblebee had him instantly successful. And when it came time to doing TK he was the first to receive an award at school for the first month because of how much he knew when it came to his numbers and the alphabet! I am telling you, the quality of crafts you get home from Bumblebee are way nicer than other daycare schools.. Please give this school a try if you need full time care for your child that will help them grow. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to be with them. Thank you to the outstanding Staff! My review is actually an email response to a yelp posting sent to L.H in Gardena. L.H gave Bumble Bee 3 stars based on a judgment, a one time impression while she toured the school. So she really insn't qualified to rate this wonderful and caring place where my daughter has grown so much over the past three years! In my humble opinion, she is missing out of the best opportunity possible for her family! L.H. You don't know me, but I am a parent at Bumble Bee Learning Center. I went onto Yelp to add my review of how great I think Bumble Bee Learning Center is, when I read your review. I felt so strongly that I had to respond to a few things, which became the basis of my review. You missed out. My daughter has been there for 3 years now, and even tho she has started kindergarten this year, we are keeping her in for another year because of the values that this facility has with our kids. "M," the office manager in the high heels, is wonderful with the children. She is strict, yet very caring and puts this school first. She stayed home on her vacation to cover a staff person who was ill because it was her job! She wasnt upset or at least none of us saw anything like it. She chocked it up to "things happen and the kids come first!" I did ask her once, why do you dress impeccably?? (not in tight clothing but beautiful, tasteful clothing; she is a stunning woman who feels good in the clothes she wears; even though she has prolly lost a few items in her closet from paint and markers as she participates as a back up Teacher/Office Manager. "M" set up the curriculum for the various age levels. Our pre-schoolers doing very easy homework to prep them for Kindy because she has a very high expectation of how Bumble Bee Learning Center actually teaches our kids, from potty training, to alphabet and printing, crafts, etc. She wants the best for our kids! They ARE a Learning Center not a day care. My daughter just had her 5th birthday party. Two of the teachers came with their kids along with ten other parents and children, who have become a family each morning at drop off or pick up. Mr. Ernie himself picks up the kids every day. So on the first day of school, when one of the parents failed to tell the school she was picking up her child, he still managed to get all children in a timely manner, no child was left behind, or late, but he scrambled to find that one child. In addition, he comes in every evening at 5pm and scrubs that facility spotless.. from toilets to floors, to toys. The teachers are incredible. And have their kids attend as well, with no special treatment. You can drive by and see the kids outside on circles, playing, doing crafts, singing, doing water play. They dont do it because it looks good for the neighbors. Our children are VERY well taken care of. I hope that you found something that works for you, but honestly, I just wanted to let you know that your judgment, was just that. I wanted you to know that I am going to use this letter as my review, to dispute yours. I understand that you made the best choice for you. But I wanted you to understand how much you were off the mark, and that I am sorry you are missing out on such a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow and thrive in! read more

Dear Shelli B., Considering that Yelp is an opinion based website, I think I am more than qualified/entitled to have my opinion and write about my personal experience. As stated in my first review, it was based on my experience on that day. As for your statements in regards to "M", those are what you would call opinons, not facts. Just like me, you are making a judgement.based on what you see. You say she dresses "impeccably", I will still stand my opinion that she dressed 'inappropriate for a preschool'. My review was soley based on my experience from when I toured the school. I spoke on my unbiased observations of the facility. The negatives along with the positives. I did not speak on any of the teachers characters, work ethic or their interactions with students because I was not there long enough to make such observations. I never referred to Bumble Bee as a daycare center and I am glad to hear that there is a curriculum set in place to prepare your children for their next steps as I find that to be extremely important. This was not a personal attack on the facility. My child has missed out on NOTHING. Like your daughter, my child attends a center with a Preschool setting. He has a warm, loving and caring teacher who instills learning, values and discipline everyday. We have made the choice that is best for our family and I'm sure you have done the same. My kids absolutely love Bumble Bee Christian Learning Center!! My son started attending about 2 years ago and I was so pleasantly surprised at how quickly he adjusted to a new daycare. His teachers are so sweet and patient with all of the children. The school has such great outdoor play areas including a large grassy area, big sandbox with swings and lots of other features found on a playground. The way that the classrooms are set up is conducive to the different age groups. All of the rooms are bright with natural sunlight, colorful, and overall welcoming. My son is always in such a good mood when I pick him up at the end of the day and it makes my heart so happy to know that he's having such a fantastic time during the day. My daughter, who is 9, has also been intermittently attending Bumble Bee as a "Day Camper" during the summer and also on Holidays that she's off from school. She is having the best time this summer with day trips to places like Knott's Berry Farm, Downtown Disney, the beach, water parks, the movies, and so much more! Both of my kids love Pizza Friday! During the school year, Bumble Bee provides the children with AM and PM snacks as well as lunch. There are monthly calendars available in the office with the daily meals as well as activities. I love knowing what my son is doing each day during the school year. The owner, Ernie, is incredibly nice and on the premises everyday, which is comforting. The whole facility is being cleaned at the end of everyday by Ernie. He is so accommodating with special requests and last minute schedule changes for our family. I work full time and my husband is a nurse and is sometimes on call. It's nice to know that we always have a caregiver available during the week should something come up on a day that the kids wouldn't normally attend. This was a big positive for us when we were looking for a preschool for our son. I am so happy that I found Bumble Bee Christian Learning Center for my kids and would recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, friendly, and caring environment for their children. read more

As a first time parent, it was very hard to make a decision on where I wanted my daughter to start her education, but once I stepped into this learning center I knew it was the one. THE ABSOLUTE BEST PRESCHOOL!!! No words can describe how great bumble Bee Preschool is. As a parent, being the first time putting my 2 kids in childcare, the staff was very welcoming and were always very kind and warming towards the kids. The director Ms. Maria and the owner Ernie take very good care of the kids and keep the preschool looking very clean and organize, which is a huge plus in my books! With all honestly, one of the best things was that every week they were learning something new. Hands down I LOVE BUMBLE BEE everyone there is amazing I have my little one there all day and my older one gets picked up after school Everyone there is so welcoming I've been there for all most two years and both my girls love it I was very nervous when I first brought them since I had never had them in a day care my little one was two at the time yes she cried the first couple days but after she wakes up ready to go to school on my day off she will even say I have to go to school my oldest daughter was extremely shy but she also loved it instantly And btw just because someone is wearing heels doesn't mean anything she rocks those heels better then anyone I know heels and all still behind the kids read more

My kids go to this school and loved it they are excited every day for school. We could not be more happier with the facility it is always clean and organized and smells clean even that is a huge plus for us because our kids are in a safe clean environment. In addition we have to rate these teachers Second To None they are awesome from the teachers that open up the school to the teachers that close the school even the director is awesome they have a wonderful curriculum and our children are learning so much!!! This preschool was amazing!! The only reason we don't go there anymore is because we moved far and I couldn't do the commute. Mr Ernie & Ms Maria run a great program here. Miss Priscilla was amazing in the mornings and Miss Julia was awesome in the evenings. Ms Rosie was the best preschool teacher who loved my daughter as her own. My wife have visited the preschools in the surrounding area before we choose it for our first and 2nd child. In the surrounding day care, its either all Korean speaking or the staff seems lack of interest in the child. You can see by the attentiveness of the teachers. (one facility she visited one of the teachers eyes are on the smart phone not the kids). The facility is very clean and cleaned on a daily basis. Mr. Ernie is there mopping up and wiping down things every day. They also have an annual cleaning and teacher training for the child. The facility is very comprehensive in activity and curriculum. Ms Maria is very on top of every thing and both the kids are potty trained in less than 3 month, The comment Shelli states is spot on or else I would not have let my 2nd child attend the school. Bumble Bee is the best preschool in orange county. I viewed several before taking my son here 8 years ago. He loved coming here. I'm still friends with his teacher when he was here. I knew when I had to put my now 2 year old into day care that he would go to Bumble Bee. I recommend them to everyone. My neighbor also brings their 3 year old here. First it is a Christian learning center so they do pray which I love. They are so loving with the kids and take such good care of them. My 2 year old loves coming here. He loves his teacher Ms. Rosie and talks about her all the time. She loves him as well. They have such a great bond. She is always patient and has so much fun with the kids. They sing and play and learn. He was not talking much when he first came here and now he talks like a 4 year old. They also provide lunch and snacks and have lots of parties. They get bounce houses and the kids have a blast. They also do water play in the summer. They do a ton of activities and are always learning about new things. I love the crafts and art they do as well. They help potty train and definitely prepare your child for school. It is extremely clean as well. It always smells good and you can see that things are well taken care of. PS... as for LH leaving a 3 when her child never attended that is ridiculous. Yes Yelp is an opinion based website, an opinion you usually give when you have experienced something, but you are giving an opinion on a few minute walk through of the place and taking their review number down on that alone. If your child attended and there was an issue I would understand, but you are basing it solely on the fact that one of the teachers wore high heals and one that wasn't dressed good enough for you. I hope people take that into consideration when reading the reviews. As you can see the rest of us are very supportive of this school as we and our children love it. read more
