During an already difficult time after the passing of my mother-in-law, a thoughtful friend sent me a flower arrangement to lift my spirits. Unfortunately, when the flowers arrived, they were far from fresh--muted in color, with brown edges on the roses and carnations. I contacted the florist, and they offered to pick up the arrangement and deliver a fresh one. When the flowers were picked up, the delivery person stated they were fresh but I pointed out the brown edges on the carnations and roses that were clearly visible. Despite their promise to make things right, no replacement was ever delivered. Worse yet, when the sender followed up this morning with the owner (I believe the one with the accent) she refused to issue a $91.00 refund OR provide the new arrangement they had promised. It's disheartening to see a business treat grieving customers this way. I expected compassion and professionalism, but instead, I was met with poor service and broken promises. If you're considering using Roma's Florist, Thomaston, I'd think twice--because they certainly don't stand by their word. Now, we're out both the flowers and the money--without any resolution or acknowledgment. I'm sharing this to ensure others don't have to go through the same frustration. Sadly, they made so many substitutions without consulting us and there were even instances where arrangements fell apart. During our consultation and correspondence prior to our wedding they were very warm and assured us that they would be able to provide us with the flowers (many for sentimental reasons) we requested. When our wedding day came, we thought they were bringing in flowers for another wedding by mistake. Per the suggestion of our wedding venue (who was also disappointed to see what Hedge produced for us...it was really bad) we requested a partial refund for the arrangements that fell apart and extreme substitutions they made. Sadly, they declined to do the correct thing. Hedge proved to be an untrustworthy vendor that would say anything just to get our business. They showed us that they do not care about their client's requests and wishes for their special day, only their questionable aesthetic and your hard earned money in their pocket (that they will gladly keep even after providing a terrible service.) Stay away from this vendor.
