Even though it's obviously a smaller spot, the chess-themed decor they put up is a nice touch. Our breakfast was just what we needed- a filling ham & cheese omelette with greasy diner hashbrowns was my choice. Our iced vanilla lattes hit the spot too. A bit pricier than a diner meal should be, but it is in an airport after all. Our server Crystal was one of the highlights of our meal- cheerful, friendly, and always checking on us- above and beyond the service I expect at an airport spot, especially this early in the morning.

They have a lot of gluten-free options, which is really great. There's a bunch of tables you can squeeze in if you need to with a big group. The staff is super attentive. They were a full bar. The food comes out so quick you practically haven't even ordered it yet. I would come to this place just to eat if it wasn't on the other side of Security. From now on when I come through the St. Louis airport, I'm gonna stop here and have a meal before I head out to the city. Imani and her crew do an amazing job. The prices are good. The atmosphere is good. It's clean. I really recommend this place.

We checked into the hotel on Sunday so I first got to use my free breakfast voucher on the following Monday. The host at the main entrance was kind and told me I could sit wherever I wanted and to help myself to the buffet. Once I found a table I was greeted by a nice male waiter who asked me if I would like coffee and a made to order omelette, which I definitely said yes. The buffet consisted of your usual, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits, assorted fresh fruits, a waffle station for you to make yourself. Yogurts and pastries. Along with my made to order omelette I chose some of their potatoes and fresh fruits. Not long after my omelette arrived freshly made and it was ready good. The waiter came back to see if I would like a juice to go with my breakfast and brought me out a cranberry juice. He was very attentive, he even asked if I would like to take a coffee to go when I was done eating and also brought me a cup so I could take my juice as well. I made sure to leave him a tip for his outstanding service. Now we're staying here for 7 days, so each morning I went down for breakfast, unfortunately the gentleman that helped me the day before was now working the front so I had a waitress this time. She appeared to be attentive on this visit. Instead of telling me i could sit anywhere she lead me to a seat and brought me coffee. This time I had to ask for an omelette and juice and when I asked for a to go cup she obliged and brought me a fresh cup and a to go juice that I asked for. I also left her a tip. Day three and up to Friday the day I'm writing my review. My breakfast morning experience has gone down hill. I unfortunately haven't seen the gentleman again, only the lady. When I come in she's nowhere to be found, so I just take a seat and go to the buffet, when she finally shows up I have to flag her down for a coffee and a omelette. When I ask for a to go cup for coffee or juice she's really slow to bring them back to my table. Once she does bring them back and I say thank you she just turns around and walk away with no response, rude. Overall the buffet here is pretty decent and if they could train the lady to be more courteous and professional like the first guy I had I would have given them a 5 star rating, but with me having to flag the lady down and getting a bit of an attitude response I am giving them a 3 rating solely based on her service.

(My in-laws are all in St. Louis or elsewhere in Missouri. So we go in and out of this airport at least twice per year.) The first is my wife said the place was filthy and she really disliked the lounge. It also was crowded. She moved from one seat to another due to loud children and coughing adults, while I was out walking the dog. The second is they finally added staff. The one young lady was hard working alone. This time, there were four people! But one, working the door, came over to the other three, who were just hanging out and playing some sort of game, to say, "You know, I'd appreciate some help."

There were only two people working with one bartender checking people into the club as well as bartending and another dealing with the food. They did a great job, but were simply and embarrassingly (for the company) overworked. What a disappointment, As expected, the bathrooms and general area went uncleaned with water leaking on the bathroom floor and paper plates (yes, paper) overflowing in the only trash can I saw. I was grateful they were open, but... seriously???
