Had some time to kill before my flight and stopped into Eighteen 76 for a drink. It ended up being a great airport bar experience. I ordered the Old Fashioned, and it was well balanced with good bourbon flavor, bitters, orange peel, and a cherry--exactly what I was hoping for. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, and my drink arrived quickly. The atmosphere was relaxing with comfortable seating, TVs, and a nice view of the airfield. Even better, there was no wait when I visited, making it an easy choice before boarding. I also appreciated being able to pay directly from the table, which made getting back to my gate quick and hassle-free. I didn't try the food this time, but based on the service, drink quality, and overall experience, I'd happily stop here again on my next trip through St. Louis. We are here on a day we were stuck in STL airport due to a delayed flight. We wanted a substantial lunch for two adults and two small children. The 3yo of course she just wanted chicken nuggets in this menu had chicken bites as an appetizer. Both adults have the chicken sandwich on the menu. Overall, the food was fine. It was a long wait between ordering and receiving the food. I visited the Auntie Anne's and a few doors down to get some pretzel bites for us to eat while we waited for the food. We ended up stuck in the airport for several hours longer than originally projected. We have this meal in our first hour there, and we were there for eight hours before you were born in a plane home this meal pretty much sustained us that entire time. read more

I had a good experience here! I didn't have a ton of time before my flight took off, and I didn't want fast food. I ended up grabbing a quick bite here and was pleased with the service and food. I got a ceaser wrap (which comes with chips) and a Diet Coke. I would have preferred fries but I also realize this is an airport restaurant and menus are typically limited with logistics and how things are ran. Headed to Vegas for the weekend so wanted to get a head start at the airport. A cold beer sounded good and actually the beer was good and cold. The Mrs ordered a guava margarita and it was awful. She took one drink and sent it back.... They subbed it with a blood orange sunset and she actually liked that. The server was really good!! I will say that in all my years of flying to various airports, I have never have been a fan of airport dining. In my experience, many restaurants have actual brick-and-mortar locations in their own city with arguably better quality food at more reasonable prices and much better service. The place I am reviewing, "Eighteen76" only has two locations; both of which are located inside the "St. Louis Lambert International Airport". Since I had a 2-hour layover, I figure this would carry me through for the rest of the afternoon. I arrived here around 6:45pm (Central Time) and it was quite busy. I also only saw one female employee that was not only taking orders but she was also the bartender serving drinks, and bringing out the food. She also collected the dirty plates and wiped down the tables. I don't know if they were severely short-staffed or if this is the norm but hats off to her working hard while assisting each and every customer. The layout of this place has quite a bit of ample seating complete with tables and chairs as well as a bar area as well. One advantage is that they have a very respectable amount of power outlets; perfect for charging up your devices before waiting for your flights. This place is your typical comfort food establishment serving up classics but only 3 types of sandwiches, flatbread, chicken bites, and only one salad. The menu in general is quite limited as they have no burgers, no nachos, and no real vegetarian options other than a warmed pretzel & cheese as well as Caesar salad. However, they do offer an extensive beer menu including dozens of beers on tap, bottles, and cans as well as cocktails and well drinks. Since I wanted something to fill me up, I went with their "1876 Chili" (for $7.89), a "Chicken Melt Sandwich" with a side of house made chips (for $15.29), and an iced cold "Bud Light" beer (for $7.99). I figure since I was in St. Louis, I might as well go local with an "Anheuser-Busch" beer to go with my food. As I mentioned, airport prices are not cheap nor is the top notch quality. So I knew I'd be paying around $40 when you factor in tax + tip. Luckily, my beer was brought out immediately while my chili and sandwich arrived just a few minutes later. The good news that the beer was cold. The bad news is that the chili was also cold. As you can see in the photo, the shredded cheese didn't even melt so the chili really didn't do it for me. I'd rather have the canned stuff from Walmart then eat something like this again. However, the sandwich was decent (I would hope for the price I paid) but a little on the small side. Luckily everything filled me up which is good since I wouldn't be eating anything else for the rest of the evening. So there you have it; just an average experience, okay food, and inflated prices. My rating for "Eighteen 76" at the St. Louis Airport, three stars. read more

We had 2 of the 3 total sandwiches on the menu. The Turkey club and pulled pork; and both were flavorless and really dry. The side chips are the same, hard and no flavor. I have to admit, though the service it's fast and efficient but also at the same time it doesn't come across is probably my first treat to come back here again. Let's face it, it's an airport restaurant / bar. If you're expecting 4 star + dining, you must not travel a lot. The menu has a reasonably wide range of options and the beer & cocktail choices are pretty good too. My favorite part of the experience was the two fun ladies working the bar and tables that evening. I suspect that the BBQ pork sandwich is probably very good. The two women who were working there were a blast. They were dancing and singing a bit and just making it a fun atmosphere for everyone. I would recommend any other place besides this one. Delayed flight so decided to grab a sandwich. It's seat yourself so I grabbed the only table that was available. I was on a work call so sat down and quickly greeted by a waitress who asked for my drink order. I presented a water. She asked if I was ready to order and I said no. Still on my work call she drops off the water and asks if I'm ready to order. I say...not yet as I'm looking at the menu. Two minutes later she returns and is rushing me to order and mentions I need to get you in and out. (There is no one else waiting for a seat). I let her know I wasn't in a rush and she could take care of other guests. She walks away. I finish up my call and proceed to look at the menu. I notice the ordering instructions so I order! She then walks over and I advise I ordered through app to which I am reprimanded because I did that. She said my order was now placed ahead of others that were already in line and it caused an issue in the kitchen. I flew in from Portland and had a relatively long layover until my connecting flight to Des Moines. Eighteen 76 was close to both my arrival and departure gates, and I managed to find a relatively isolated Terminal side seat with a power outlet. So with a beer to start and subsequent pulled pork sandwich and chicken flat bread "entrees" to guide me through, I set up shop and caught up with a variety of things. The pulled pork was OK, and reminded me of what I'd expect at a church fundraiser in my Iowa hometown. The chicken flatbread looked OK coming out, but starting with the jalapenos, this dish just did not sit right with me. However, the guy waiting on me, was there when I needed him and was very engaging and friendly. Good beer too. I suppose I could have walked around some more up front and looked at alternatives, but despite the just OK experience, I was happy to be there with my refreshments and my screen. I was visited this restaurant on June 14th. There was a bartender and a server. Being in hospitality management myself, I can be a hard critic. With that being said, the bartender was completely unprofessional, in my opinion. She shared waaayyyy to much and was extremely to loud for business. The young lady told the restaurant that the cook walked out because he was upset that he was only making $10 an hour. She went on to say how she brutally honest and some people can't take that or understand it. I had a 5-hour lay-over in St. Louis on my way from Tulsa to Milwaukee so I decided to try this place for salad and wine. The server was amazing, friendly and quick with service, especially since she was the only staff working, doing double duty as both wait staff and bartender. Menu selection was kind of sparse but I was able to make it work for me with a Caesar salad with turkey. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, the croutons were fresh however seemed a little over-toasted but not burnt. The Chardonnay was satisfactory (I've had better but not at the airport). Highly disappointed in my visit to Eighteen76 in Lambert STL International Airport. This is primarily due to their limited menu (COVID condensed). They have an A-frame sign out front like many airport restaurants have to showcase a few items on their menu. When I was seated at the bar, that's when I was informed that it was their ENTIRE COVID menu. Wowee there were 5 things on it and none of them were appealing to pay their price for. This does explain why there was NOBODY else there. (Okay there was one other couple, but it's an exaggeration for effect.)
