I would like to preface this review with knowledge of where your money goes. I previously worked at a print shop that provides their business cards, which is where I first heard of them. There was a constant flow of new employees getting cards. This should have been a red flag but I ignored it. I was also in the sign business for over 20 years and have firsthand knowledge of how expensive vehicle wraps are. Pay attention to how many you see. I see now that they are also advertising on TV. They also have an employee stationed at Costco. All of those costs have to be paid for and that WILL trickle down to the customer. I initially signed on with them for the low-cost service agreement. Other companies want a lot of money upfront so the low installments were doable for me. They performed a couple of bi-yearly service calls on my HVAC units and all was well until I needed an electrical repair. That's where they get you. Email to owner: When I phoned the office last Wednesday after the first visit (8/7), I voiced my concerns that I felt the two technicians were very under experienced, considering that my house is at least 90 years old. I reported that pretty much all they did was take off every outlet and light switch cover in the house to peer back behind it, even though a good portion of them were working outlets and switches on a completely different circuit and in different rooms. They never attempted to open the extra circuit panel that Matt inspected when he was here. They probably didn't know what it was. They never even found the beginning of the circuit in question. I also reported that they left one hell of a mess that I had to clean up, and that they left a light switch plate sticking off the wall. Those technicians gave me 2 options. Either schedule another appointment for them to keep searching for the issue while being billed by the hour or schedule to have the entire circuit rewired which was quoted for $516. The mess they left: https://youtu.be/baj-oYrTHoU?feature=shared After calling the office with my concerns, I was offered a second "free" visit by a more experienced technician to see if he could come up with a better solution. When Matt came last Friday, found the issue and replaced the faulty wire, he told me that I needed a new exhaust fan in the bathroom because the motor was bad. After I installed it and turned the switch on, the breaker tripped. I unplugged the new fan, and the breaker was still tripping when the switch was turned on. I texted Matt to make sure the problem wasn't in the wiring. He told me that the wires were touching somewhere in the housing of the fan, which would cause the breaker to trip. After careful examination, it was obvious that there were no wires touching in the housing of the fan, but Matt assured me that wires were touching somewhere. When I glanced again at the switch plate sticking off the wall, I wondered if something in there got jammed back wrong. After I turned the breaker off, I removed the face plate and I was extremely shocked at what I saw. All of the wiring had just been shoved back in the wall and the light switch itself was not even connected to the housing box! I have been using the overhead light (same switch) since Matt left last Friday! Hot wires loose in the wall! And other wires touching things they shouldn't! You don't EVEN want to know where my mind has been thinking about that and what could have happened!! I (ZERO electrical experience) got the wires back in the box and attached the switch securely night before last (8/14). Because the house is aged, it was not an easy job. But I did it. If your 2 toddlers couldn't do it, they should have said so instead of leaving something extremely dangerous behind! Since I have finished the job for them, the lights and new fan are now working properly and the face plate is flush to the wall. The visit with Matt did not show a service fee (as promised), however I was billed $360 for "under 12 ft" of rewiring. That math seems awful fishy to me because you are now telling me for an extra $156, I could've had the entire circuit rewired, per the quote I was given. In closing, I want my service agreement cancelled immediately. My automatic payment for this month already went through on 8/12. Additionally, I am requesting that my payment of $216 for the original disaster of the first visit be refunded to me. If you feel that is not warranted, I will be more than happy to spend this weekend leaving all of the above details on every review site I can find. *Some irrelevant text removed due to character limits. I wanted to write and personally thank you for the extraordinary service Bud's provided to our family during a very difficult time. Your team replaced the HVAC system in my in-laws' condo, and from beginning to end, the experience was outstanding. What made it especially meaningful was the timing. At the same time their HVAC failed, the condo was also dealing with flooding damage, multiple insurance companies, repair issues, and all the chaos that comes with trying to manage a crisis. My father-in-law is wheelchair bound and had to be moved out of the condo for what will likely be several months. It was a stressful and emotional situation with a great deal happening at once. In the middle of all of that, Bud's became the one part of this process we did not have to worry about. Steve was exceptional. He was honest, patient, knowledgeable, and professional throughout. He explained everything clearly, answered questions thoroughly, and gave us confidence that we were in good hands. That kind of trust matters, especially when you are trying to make important decisions under pressure. When it came time for the installation, Michael and Brant were simply outstanding. They were professional, polite, thorough, and incredibly capable. More than that, they carried themselves in a way that immediately put me at ease. While I was dealing with insurance companies, flood repairs, and the larger family situation, they handled their part so well that I never once had to stop and worry about whether the HVAC work was being done right. In that moment, that was both a gift and an answered prayer. I cannot say enough good things about them. Having led large organizations of my own, including several with more than 1,000 employees, I can say without hesitation that I would want team members exactly like Steve, Michael, and Brant on my team. They were that impressive. Technical skills can be taught. Soft skills such as compassion, care, professionalism, and work ethic are far rarer, and far more valuable. They reflected extraordinarily well on Bud's and on the kind of culture you have clearly built within your organization. Please know that what your team did meant more than simply replacing a system. They brought professionalism, reliability, and peace of mind at a time when our family truly needed it. That kind of service is remembered. I do not normally provide a review, as I expect that a company will do the work correctly. I am making an exception for Bud's however. I would highly recommend this company for exceptional HVAC coverage. I bought my units through Costco. Bud's is the only HVAC dealer certified by the area Costco. From my initial discussion with the Bud's Rep (Reba) at Costco I felt confident with this company. Bud's "Comfort Advisor", (Steve) the liaison with Costco, came to my home, and after listening carefully to my needs, put together an out-the-door unit/installation quote for the unit that would meet my minimum needs and as I requested two upgraded unit quotes. Steve clearly explained the pros and cons of each of the three choices but there was no pressure to purchase the upgrades. After my decision, Steve provided me with an installation date. Stephanie at Bud's did all the work to purchase the units from Costco - I had some DocuSign paperwork. Bud's technicians (Jason and Tavon) arrived on time at 8:15 on the scheduled day. They both explained the work they would be doing, and throughout the installation process kept me updated on the progress and gladly answered my many questions. On a Thursday around noon I was calling for a Friday appointment. My property was closing Monday afternoon. She really wanted to help me, but the best she could do was Monday morning. It worked out just fine. Anthony was on time and very professional. He was really puzzled as to what was causing the furnace to continuously recycle. He methodically checked the various components; and seemed to have a list in his head of all the reasons why this should be happening. After thoroughly checking everything; going into the crawl space; and looking at the vents upstairs, he was not finding his answer. I even heard him call the office to get a consultation. Somewhere during this time, I mentioned a lever in the vents upstairs. He found it under the insullating wrap and discovered it had been blocking the airflow, sending it back into the furnace. Thus causing it to overheat. He waited to see if that resolved the problem. It was much better, but still not quite what he expected. He made a slight adjustment to the gas flow and that brought it right to where it should be in the differential. Thank you. I wish I had been using BUDs these past 11 years. Poor company... not only with the way they conduct business but also how they treat people. Please make sure your job is being completed properly. The plumbing manager installed the pressure relief valve against the wall which now if there is a problem can literally blow up. If you have ever had a job completed I would get someone to check out it for your safety. Which it should of been inspected by codes anyways. Not pulling permits for water line replacements and gas water heater replacements. Employees that have been charged with DUI and it's ok. The owner who yells at the employees and treats people like they are totally beneath him. So much more cruelty, illegal activity and violations. Just beware. read more

Last summer our A/C unit went down midway through the summer, and Buds took excellent care of us! This was particularly stressful for my wife and I at the time because we had a 1-year-old. The customer service representative, Alyssa, was responsive, understanding, and compassionate.
