This seemed to be a bit high, but I was prepared to write a check or use a credit card to pay the balance. My issue is that Patriot would only accept cash forcing me to drive to the bank during the Coronavirus pandemic to withdraw $776 in cash. I asked if there was another way to pay and they refused stating "company policy". The governor issued allowable travel guidelines for a reason. It seems to me that Patriot Plumbing does not care about the health and well being of me, my family, or the community. I am giving one extra star because the two men that replaced my water heater were kind and courteous and seemed to do a good job.

Their diagnosis included replacing the entire water heater along with other modifications, pulling permits, etc. They wanted to charge me almost $1600... that didn't even include the water heater that was covered by the warranty company! Asked for a second opinion, thank goodness! The water heater wasn't even the problem! It was a simple fix. The second company fixed it, my warranty covered the entire cost. Absolutely ridiculous. These people are thieves.

When searching for that, we came across Mr. Rooter of Williamsburg's Water Leak Detection Services page and gave them a call. We explained what we needed from them over the phone and set up an appointment. When they arrived, I was told they don't do leak detection. They left shortly after acting like I was crazy for 1) knowing it was a slab leak (confirmed by a different plumber) and 2) for thinking they'd do what their website had listed. After they left, I received an estimate for them to re-pipe the whole house, something I didn't ask for. Thankfully, they didn't charge us for the visit.
