Since choosing to use Bud's, exclusively, for all three of the trade services they provide, we have experienced a whole new level of professionalism, expertise and integrity. Recently, our HVAC system stopped working after losing power during the night due to a thunderstorm and nearby lightning strike. I called Bud's first-thing the following morning... the power had already been restored. Realizing it was the middle of summer/ the cooling season, and, it had been a large storm the night before covering the entire York County area, I assumed it might be a day or more before there would be an available appt. However, in true Bud's fashion, they scheduled me for same-day service and were out in less than 2 hours. The technician, Steve Colwell, was top-notch. He was not only knowledgeable and professional, but, he took a very methodical approach to fixing our problem. Though he could have replaced 4 or 5 parts at once, claiming "the lightning strike fried everything" and it would have cost much more money for me. Instead, Steve diagnosed things logically and replaced one part at a time in a step-by-step, systematic format. As a result, the problem was fixed with only 3 parts instead of more. I felt very confident in Steve's skills and expertise and very comfortable with him in our home. First I called my regular plumber and even with standing water on our floor, they couldn't schedule us till July! I called two others and no one could come today. Finally I called A1 American and had to pay $179 just for them to come look at it and it took them all day to get here because they don't schedule appointment times! Once they were here they quoted me over a thousand dollars to snake my toilet. I got back on google and google recommended Buchanan's Plumbing. Great reviews and known for their honesty and affordable pricing. Called him up, he quoted less than half of what A1 was going to charge me! So, I paid A1 the 179 for coming and sent them on their way. Buchanans was here in 30 minutes. Had it fixed in a couple hours because the job was slightly more complicated than they thought it would be. But the price didn't change! And they're super nice, very friendly. He actually cleaned the bathroom when he was done! Scrubbed the floor, put everything back better than it was! He even put shims under our cabinet because he noticed it was leaning forward. Incredible! Even with what I had to pay A1, Buchanan ended up still being cheaper than what A1 quoted me. And I know they did a better job. Hands down! I'm SO GRATEFUL for finding Buchanan! The office had called to say he was on his way. William arrived about 15 minutes later. He did a great job. He checked everything out as it is a new system. There was a pre-construction meeting with the estimator, project manager and over all manager. After, the project manager brought over several paint samples in an attempt to match the color of the trim. The worker was very industrious, put in long days and made sure I was happy with everything as he went along. There was a meeting with the estimator when the work was done. I noticed one corner that didn't appear to be finished. The project manager made sure that corner was fixed and another corner I had not noticed, but he felt was good enough. Everyone, including the office help, were courteous, pleasant, helpful and truly wanted me to be completely happy with the end result.
