They don't test the pool chemistry. I had zero free chlorine just 2 days after service. The pH was way too high as well as the CYA. The pool was very cloudy one time and they did nothing about it when they came out. I had to call them back to fix their sub-par work. When I confronted them about the dirty skimmer baskets, Jack denied responsibility rather than man up and fix it. The stress was immense, as I had to become savvy to construction and plumbing work in order to double check their work. The core crew and their plumber are PHENOMINAL! These guys have an amazing work ethic and do beautiful work when it comes to paving and plumbing, but we were a great experiment when it came to building the pool. Our pool was the first they'd ever built. They were only subcontractors on prior pools working on the decking only. Fermin, the owner, presents as the most honorable, caring, upright human being, only to bait and switch you on workmanship, materials, etc., until you DON'T get what you think you're paying for. If you use this company, please read your paperwork with a fine tooth comb, making sure that everything you are expecting is there. And, if you make any changes, go through all of the paperwork again to identify everything is there exactly. We had a tiler who didn't know what he was doing, an engineer and equipment expert who didn't ground and bond all of the wiring and also didn't follow the positioning or wiring instructions for the heater (we almost lost our warranty because it was installed poorly), a pool filled with water and debris with no chemicals to start us off and no instructions for curing time or equipment/chemical usage during the 30 day curing time. Worse, Fermin told us he didn't subcontract--the team and equipment were all his. This was a lie, and it resulted in their forklift running into the side of my neighbor's home, puncturing her stucco. Further, we had to stop the construction of an eyesore of a privacy fence that looked nothing like what we agreed upon or the photos that showed precisely what we wanted. Bait and switch. Another $10,000 later and a decking company that knew what it was doing, we got our privacy fence installed. The contract includes a two-year warranty on the structure, but we have spent thousands of dollars on repairs without reimbursement because this company will generally not respond to warranty calls and we couldn't trust them to wire and properly install the pool equipment. They did, however, respond a few months ago to a repair on our retaining wall, but did a sloppy job that did not actually repair the cracks (photos). We now also have a rusted landscaping light and a loose tile on the step (photo). We have gone to the office, called every week for weeks, to no avail. The owner is ignoring our calls to schedule a warranty repair. Again, I cannot complain about the workmanship of paving and perhaps landscaping. They did a remarkable job on our pavers and matched our paint like nothing I've ever seen before (paint is very hard to match exactly, but they did it). There are definitely good things to say, but overall, buyer beware! Fermin is NOT what he appears as a businessman, and you may pay dearly for it.

Stones of Texas performed faulty construction work and a large poolside, wooden pavilion they built collapsed. During the investigation of that incident, it was found that Stones of Texas had performed much more faulty work as well. We were awarded a judgment against Stones of Texas and Fermin Cardenas. He has been running from us and has refused to pay the judgment amount as required by law. Please do not let this man and his company do this to you as well.

They will not only build your pool, but you can also have them do your maintenance at a very reasonable price. There is no doubt that Dream Pool Creations takes pride in their work and I would not even think twice about referring them to friends and family. I am a disabled veteran, so I had some requirements to ensure that I can use the pool safely. The owner spent hours with me designing a pool that would fit my needs and make sure I would be safe in the pool as well, this personal touch to already stellar service is something you do not experience often these days. After this process, I was provided with 3-D mock-ups of what the pool would look like in my backyard, which was instrumental in finalizing the design. Work began promptly and the work site was so clean at completion, you would never have been able to tell a pool was just installed. High-pressure sales tactics are not used by this company, they provided me with a fair quote upfront. They will not call you a week later and tell you "If you agree now, we can take 10% off", or "I spoke with my manager and I was told if you sign now, we will give you a discount." Follow-ups were to ask if I had any questions and they were always respectful and never tried to guilt trip me or sway me to make an emotional purchase decision, it is obvious that Dream Pool Creations wants to establish a great vendor/customer relationship, not just sell you a pool.

They were always on time, very careful with where they set up their gear so as not to interfere with anything we had to do, polite and respectful, and always available/willing to answer whatever questions I had, giving full explanations so I could understand all aspects of the job. The crew also cleaned up perfectly at the end of each day. David, theq owner, came daily to supervise the work and make certain it was being done to his expected perfection. We were so pleased with the final outcome that we added two additional projects which David was very happy to provide and again did an excellent job! Definitely recommend this company!!!

Cans and trash and food wrappers, concrete everywhere, which is my "dogs fault." 2) I have a husky that goes outside to use the restroom and there was a butcher knife right by the side of the pool. Joe said my dog took the butcher knife and placed it next to the pool. Horizontally perfect. 3) Anything that went wrong he BLAMED 100% on me, my parents or my dog. Literally never took responsibility for anything. 4) Joe DOES NOT answer the phone when he knows he did wrong. Just call him a few times and wait a couple of days. 5) Joe never gave my parents a receipt for the job, even though he said he would 4 plus times.He even had the audacity to tell me and my parents that he left the paper outside on the patio and he said that if we didn't get it, it is our fault. He of course did not leave any type of papers. Plus if he was going to do that would he not have the decency to give it to my parents' in their hands???? I know for a fact he left no type of paper. 6) Joe said I was harassing him (I am the daughter of my parents.) because I was telling him to please not mess with my parents and give them a receipt. To this very day we still have never gotten a receipt. 7) The tiles have already cracked off, including some cracks on the plaster inside the pool, leading to leaks. (he said he would come by and fix it but he didn't.) 8) Joe took down the door of the backyard (of course necessary) and literally had it on the floor after it had been raining left with all this nice wet dirt. Its ok he has no time to have it leaned on a wall by my house or out of his way. 9) He decided to go and bring his supplies (plaster,concrete,paint,tiles etc.) through the left side of my parents house which was within OUR property line, but because the older woman next door, to my parents house did not want the grass being messed with, she got really upset and told them to use the other side. BUT Joe took the initiative to listen to a woman that has no right to tell them to go through the other side. IT IS OUR PROPERTY LINE. NOT HERS. Therefore he took the directions of the older woman next door and decided to go to the right side of the property where the pool filter was connected. 10) He took out my parents pool filter machine without even letting us know and left it in the grass like it was thrown there. 11) Joe doesn't even ask or tell my parents anything about any situation. My dad had to play investigator. 12) He removed all the water from the pool onto the public street, which is illegal in Leon Valley. Lucky my parents, nor him got a violation. 13) We had gotten Joe to re-do the concrete surrounding the pool because it was shifting and if not fixed the pool would not be salvageable. When he redid the concrete around the pool he did not set up his foundation properly. Barb wiring and the wrong type of soil. (That's a whole story on its own.) 14) Left paint stains on top of tiles and had the dripping look, where you could tell it was done very quickly. If you want a guy who blames all issues on you, leaves a butcher knife outside, trash and concrete everywhere, blames a dog took everything (concrete,knife,trash) and spread it around the backyard. Then this is your man! Have your own documentation, and be willing to be outside when the workers do their job. I was never going to write a review but my dad still tells me the issues that he has and how he is getting our monthly pool man to fix them. It made me very stressed because we have a entire year of "insurance" on the pool from Joe, so anything that goes wrong he will fix. Which he never did. Seriously this is a joke. I am upset because of what he did to my parents.My parents mean the world to me, and to see them upset makes me very sad and protective. They are older and they do not need the stress of some man who gets his money and goes missing. i don't know that I have ever written a negative review before, but this situation requires it…read more Over the past 30 years I've had several pool service companies. This one is, without any doubt, the WORST I've ever had. They started off great and got my pool back to blue after the last company let it just turn green. After a few weeks, however, they quit caring and my pool has been green for weeks (maybe even a couple of months). When I inquired about it, they claimed it was because of all of the plants around the pool. My backyard is landscaped but there's nothing about it that would cause it to turn green. It turned green, in my opinion, because they didn't want to spend the money necessary to keep it blue. Ultimately, I had to fire them because their pool tech started yelling at my housekeeper and got extremely aggressive. He even made veiled threats to me. I will get the money they required that I pay them in advance even if I have to sue them. My advice: DO NOT LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR POOL. If I could give less than 1 star, I would give them a negative 5 star rating.
