My recent experience I was deployed with Red Cross for a local disaster. Red Cross was renting multiple cars from Memphis and Nashville Tennessee airports. We had to drive 2-4 hours to a remote location where we needed the cars to travel to connect with people whose homes were destroyed from a tornado. On the way to this location, I noticed my tire had low pressure. I filled the tires with air and was able to make it to the site, but the tire had a nail in it and was slowly losing air. My only recourse was to call roadside and have them travel 35 minutes to get to the car to change it to the donut. I called customer service with Avis and they assured me that plenty of cars were available to rent at the nearest Avis rental 30 minutes away. All I needed to do was exchange the car. I got up early to drive the car to Jackson and made it there close to 8 am only to find a less than helpful service associate and no potential cars current or future. I spent and Red Cross staff spent hours on the phone and time waiting for Avis to take care of this problem. Eventually someone did come two days later to tow the car away. Seriously all you needed to do was pay for a tire locally and we would have been glad to have it repaired or replaced.

There was stuff spilled all on the doors and popcorn kernels inbetween the seats and the trunk was dirty. It looked like it wasn't cleaned AT ALL. But I had to go with it because it was closing time, so I was out of options. When I called back a week later to extend my reservation, Cindy said that Dylan had been fired and didn't know what he was doing, and she gave me the original price I was supposed to have, did another authorization on my card, and at that point, I was a pretty happy customer. Well Friday rolls around, and I'm supposed to bring it back. I have a lot going on so I forgot about it and thought they were closed for the weekend and would just charge me extra on my card for the extension--no big deal. I called twice and left a voicemail and didn't hear back so thought everything was good. No. Tell me why I got the same woman Cindy from Hertz calling me and telling me they're gonna report the car stolen and that my card isn't authorized (WHEN IT WAS!) and that I have to bring it back immediately? I'm about to tell my 1500 followers on IG and my husband's 5000 followers to NEVER rent a car from this piece of garbage run place. Turns out Cindy is the owner, and she is the biggest unprofessional bitch I've ever met to run a business. ETA: She called the sheriff's department over this whole ordeal! And she charged an extra $328 when I brought the car back in better condition than it was left in!!! WE ARE GOING TO CIVIL COURT OVER THIS. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS WOMAN!

We have bought 3 Nissan Rougues from Rick Nissan and have previously had good experience buying new…read morecars. So when we needed a truck for work we went back and found a used 2015 Nissan Frontier PRO 4X on the lot. At the time of purchase the fair market value of the truck with 115,000 miles on it was around $16,000. We thought we were buying a base model PRO 4X because it was all manual and no features whatsoever. However, what we were sold was a stripped down "S" model Frontier, and the fair market value of it at the time was $10,000. There are no markings or decals that indicate which version it is, and nowhere on any of the paperwork does it list the sub-model type. After dealing with GAP insurance on the last totaled Nissan Rogue we purchased there, GAP required all paperwork to be sent in including the sticker. The sticker on the Frontier states it is a "PRO 4X", the GAP insurance we paid for is now useless, we've been paying too much on auto insurance for a higher valued vehicle, and our loan company payment reflects that we've been paying on a "PRO 4X" model, not the cheaper stripped down "S" model. To correct the error they offered to print off a new window sticker and give us "a good deal" on trading in the "S" model we actually have, but that doesn't change the fact that they advertised and sold us the wrong model vehicle, nor the $5000 we overpaid on this truck and trading in would put us upside down on our note with a much higher payment. After 8 years of continued service with them, they just sold us the last vehicle they ever will. We are taking our business elsewhere with less shady businesses practices.
