I reached out to get a bid on a few projects at my home, which could be staged across the…read moresummer/fall - none were truly urgent but simply general upkeep.  PROS: Scheduling and response time was prompt and someone was here within a week to get a bid. Professional guy, gave explanations, saw things I hadn't noticed that could use a repair. Online bid was well-presented with lots of details. This warrants 2 stars. CONS: Two issues led me to not work with this company.  (1) I set an appt to have the rep arrive at 1pm, and specifically let the rep know that I didn't want him to "arrive at 12:30 to walk around the property to get a feel for it" (as he suggested on the phone). It was a straightforward set of jobs and I wanted to show him the specifics. But I had a meeting until 1pm, and he showed up at 12:37 - interrupting my meeting and then saying "I'll just look around the property while you finish". So even though I had asked him not to do so, he still did it, which I thought was unprofessional. The meeting itself was fine. Was told I'd have a bid within 3 days.  (2) Got a bid 8 days later, with multiple project components itemized, as I had requested. I reached out to ask some follow-up questions, and when the same rep finally reached back out (a week after I asked the questions), he told me I can't do just one part of the many projects because *they require a minimum project cost of $8,000*. So I'd have to combine many of the items around the house (painting, bricks, gutters, driveway, etc.) in order to get to that minimum, which I specifically had NOT wanted to do. I know of no company that has a minimum policy of such an amount, and if I had been informed of that policy early on, I would not have pursued LIME as an option at all.  In general, my impression of this company is that they want to upsell customers on their projects by going beyond the initial scope of your own needs and then charging a minimum to ensure they're working with only the most high-end clients. I'm lucky to have a nice home, and I take care of it. I spend money on it to do so, but I'm also a discerning customer who doesn't want to get yanked around. They might do great work but I didn't get to see it. I'm disappointed I wasted nearly a month of my time on this process and would have liked to have a more transparent process from the get-go. Save your time, go somewhere else.

We had them work on our outside trim…read moreabout 4 years ago, and when it came time to put some color into the interior of my home, after 30 years of white everywhere, they were the first company I thought to call. I had a couple of walls in mind, and Zane came to take a look and give me an estimate. He noticed some sloppiness in the work others had recently done on some renovations, but was willing to fix the parts that would affect his work; e.g., linear corners where paint and dripped and bled onto the adjacent walls. He provided me with an interior design paint colorist, Kristen, as part of the project cost. Kristen is simply amazing. She understood what I was trying to accomplish with the color I was looking for, and made several recommendations, while talking through each one to help with a decision. In the end, she showed me such a great palette that I decided to do an additional room. She did not in any way suggest that I do this additional work; I just found such great colors that I wanted to complete my main floor right away. I still have some painting upstairs that I'd like to do, and I will definitely call Kristen back to help me with the colors! Zane gave me a fair estimate, and had availability for a team to come very quickly. He was willing to work with schedule of the contractor staining my floors so that they could do the right work in the correct order. APS was able to come to do the work with less than a week's notice. Amazing. The team was fantastic--communicative, knowledgeable. They did a great job. In the end, I noticed some minor flaws in one of the rooms, and they worked with me right away to come and fix it. I didn't pay the balance until they had completed the work to my satisfaction, and they did a truly nice job touching up my areas of concern. APS is professional, knowledgable, responsive, and just plain good at what they do. I will have them back to do all my professional painting, both inside and out.

I would highly recommend skipping Paint Denver for any painting project. They started off fine. Met…read morethe sales rep the first time, they worked a bid and I noticed some things were missing so I called them back a second time to walk the job to ensure thorough communication. The second bid still had some details missing so I called the rep back to clarify some points. That was my first mistake, to think they would keep their word outside of what was written in their "contract " (in quotes because as a legal document, it is horribly written. First day of work comes around and they are obviously rushing the job. I let it slide because overall the crew seems competent, minus maybe the lead who answers every question with "that is not in the contract" for everything, including things obviously in the contract. The first error is painting a room the wrong color, "it's not in the contract!" Gabino says. Turns out it is. Day two and they are "done". I look around and they filled no holes and did zero sanding "It's not in the contract!" Gabino says. Turns out it is.. He calls a manager, gets told to do it and he himself comes back to fix it and give a second coat of paint on a room they completely missed. This second coat ends up looking worse than the first coat somehow as he tries to freehand the transition lines and messes it up badly, and still manages to completely miss one wall of the room they previously already missed. Obviously Gabino has better things to do than your job. Called manager and they come out to acknowledge this is their responsibility and then radio silence for a week. Finally the owner/"Chief Promise Keeper" calls me back condescending and not taking any responsibility for the botched job. I haven't mentioned yet how they did not use the paint grade that was agreed upon verbally multiple times. His resolution is "that sucks, these things happen". When somebody tells you who they are, believe them the first time. If you have to tell people you are a promise keeper, it's more than likely because you in fact are not. Steer clear and look elsewhere. Plenty of other quality painters out there to choose from. The owner also tried to bribe me not to write a review in exchange for them fixing their mistakes. Avoid avoid avoid.
