We had a big house in California so we had three big storage units filled to the ceilings as we waited for our house to be built. After a year of living in a small apartment, we finally were able to close on our house...but who to call in a town where we knew NO ONE...? Thankfully, our daughter had moved from California also and her cross-country mover used SET-THE-TREND MOVING & STORAGE at this end of the journey. She said they had been very good and gave us their number and the rest, as they say, is history! Cliff came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate (and stayed true to it) considering the logistics of what we were needing him to do. He also worked out the logistics since not only were we moving from the storage units and the apartment were were needed to end up with just one small storage unit so it necessitated moving between storage units. We were also transporting a few big items between our house and our daughter's home. Cliff worked it out and came up with three days for the entire move; he was right on the time! Cliff and his cadre of very strong men made quick work of emptying our three huge storage units, one two bedroom apartment and moving the items we were sending over to our daughter's home. Logistically, it could have been a nightmare. However, due to Cliff's analytical mind, it was a three day affair that went so smoothly and quickly I couldn't believe it; it just seemed to be too easy. However, that's the beauty of Cliff's leadership and his men's work ethic. They absolutely killed it! We couldn't have been more pleased with how the move went. Everyone was so kind and gentlemanly from introducing themselves to us as they came in the house to Cliff's amazing advice on where he thought a piece of furniture might work better...he was spot on and I so appreciated his help. I told him he was a better decorator than I was! I confess this move was overwhelming to me; prior to our move to Georgia we had been in the same home for almost 45 years. Cliff and the guys were so good at what they do, they kept me calm. They were always on-time, took reasonable lunches and moved quickly. My hubby and I are both disabled and if any of the guys caught us moving anything, they were quick to insist on doing it for us. We were SO impressed! By the end of the move, we felt as if we were saying good-bye to wonderful friends for that is how we view them now. Folks, you won't go wrong choosing Set-The-Trend Moving & Storage. There are a lot of moving scams out there and it can be scary trying to find a company that will take excellent care of your furniture (and your home) and not hold it hostage at the end, extorting their customers for more money. Cliff and his men were absolutely fantastic and we couldn't be more pleased and thankful we found them!!!

These guys are AMAZING! We just moved up from Orlando this past weekend and had a 26 foot truck…read moreabsolutely packed to the gills with our entire house. The two gentlemen that showed up were fast, efficient, friendly and most of all careful with our things. They were super fit and strong and moved everything including a 300+ pound antique dentist's chair from the 1920s. That thing is a beast and the two of them moved it with care and made it look easy. I cannot overstate how wonderful it was to feel like they were careful with our possessions, even the bulky, heavy, or cumbersome ones. We even got some fantastic restaurant recommendations from them before they left! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for help loading or unloading in the Savannah area!

Called them, stated the problem and they agreed to come out the next day. Well these promises went on for three days until they finally stated they were too busy to come back. I than hired an appliance repair company who found the problem to be that the drain line was installed to deep and was fixed in ten minutes. I can't believe Ken and Marc were too busy for a ten minute fix. If they hadn't lead me wrong for three days I would have felt differently.

Arrived at 9:26 a.m. started charging at 9:15 a.m. Broke…read morelimbs off of a tree parking the van in the driveway and did not clean them up. Did not work together. We had three people doing our move-in. They were all doing separate things and none of them seemed to know what the other person was doing. Did not have the proper tools to break down the bed. I had to show them how to break down the hospital bed. Did not load the truck properly. I instructed the company no less than three times that my son was in a power wheelchair and we would need to have room to load it last after we put him in the car and unload it first once we got to the new house. I reiterated this again when they arrived. They didn't even finish loading all of our items and informed us that they would have to go to the new house, unload half the truck and then go back for the rest. This meant that we had to leave my disabled son at the first house until they could return to load the rest of the items along with his chair. Because of how they stacked the items, everything shifted and fell as they moved. You can see in the picture that items had fallen on top of each other and boxes were smashed. There was plenty of room for all of our items IF they had loaded the truck correctly. Before they unloaded, they required payment. When I spoke to the office and explained the situation and asked them if I was going to have to pay for the extra time it was going to take for them to drive back to the original house, load everything up and drive back to unload it, the office apologized profusely and discounted the remaining time. Did not label boxes, pack properly, or place boxes in proper rooms. I packed 90% of the house before they arrived. Everything was wrapped, bubble wrapped and boxed to keep items from shifting. Every box was labeled on the top and side to indicate the room they belonged to and what was in the box. Fragile items were clearly marked. They did none of this for any box that they packed. There were boxes of shoes in the kitchen, studio stuff in the garage, bathroom stuff in the dining room, garage stuff in the bedroom, and bedroom stuff in the living room. My computer system was packed with kitchen chemicals and put in the garage. Broke a desk. They managed to rip the entire side off of the desk. They offered to buy wood glue and glue it together. As I was dealing with my mom being rushed to the hospital, I told them to just dispose of it. One mover got mad when I told him to take a box back to the garage and dropped the box which was clearly marked fragile and broke a candle holder, a ceramic angel, and six snow globes that I have had for over 20 years. Those snow globes have been moved 7 times and were never broken. Crushed my studio backdrop paper rolls. Broke a glass. Missing lid to coffee pot. Coffee maker won't work without it. We found it-not with the coffee pot, but with the chemicals and the computer. Stuffed the dryer vent hose inside the dryer, lint and all. Left parts of boxes, trash,wrapping paper and empty tape rolls all over the house. Left items in our closet that she was specifically directed to pack, including my son's baby book, jewelry and clothes. Dumped potting soil all over the driveway at the new house and left it. Crushed my plastic plant holders. Placed parts to our lawnmower in our trash can. Taped an empty box and loaded it on the truck. Packed a $1,000.00 gaming system with no protection in a box with chemicals from under the kitchen sink. Then put the box in the corner of the garage. In the heat. In the middle of the summer.
