Something very disappointing happened to me at Avis-Budget Edinburgh Airport.
I have delivered the keys in the box out of hours, after only one day with the vehicle, since there was no employee to receive the car. To my surprise, after have been back to Brazil, I got an invoice charging me £ 325 for a supposed damage in the vehicle! They said that there is a dent in the car's bodywork. I am absolutely certain that this supposed damage to the vehicle was not caused by me, if it really exists. There was nothing wrong to the car. And, as I said, no official, no one to really check any possible damage when I delivered it. I am sure that it happened just because I left the car out of hours, when I could not be there to argue, just because they knew I am in another country.
Finally, I find it very convenient and opportunistic by the company for wanting to charge a customer who delivered the vehicle without the presence of an official to check any possible damages and who resides in another country, in other words, making it difficult to challenge. I have photos to prove that the vehicle was not spoiled at all. And most importantly, I have a clear conscience. read more
