Called in to place a to-go order, when we got to the restaurant the pizza was ready but it seemed as though our order wasn't "saved" because they forgot they rung up a side of ranch on the phone (extra charge) but the ranch & the charge was missing from our order when we arrived and paid. The cashier gave us a free ranch after I caught it, opening the pizza box realizing no ranch inside. Minor issue. However what was odd is that we decided to order a Hawaiian, not thinking to check the ingredients (Hawaiian is the same everywhere!) and it wound up coming with BBQ sauce instead of marinara!!! The weirdest thing. I can't give them a bad review because of that- it was our mistake for not reading the description on the menu, but the pizza was alright. Not super stellar. Called ahead and placed a pickup order for the Greektown and Detroit's 8 Square pizzas. The order was ready right on time when we arrived, which made pickup quick and easy. This location is takeout-only, with no dine-in space. The pizzas were fresh and full of flavor, though I felt they would have been even better if eaten immediately while piping hot. I still remember my first Buddy's experience at another branch, the pizza was straight-out-of-the-oven hot, and that made a big difference. I had previously ordered a version with dill leaves, which was absolutely worth it and something I missed this time. That said, the flavors were still bold and satisfying, every bite packed with seasoning and richness. Buddy's is definitely more expensive than regular pizza, but the portion size and quality make it worth it. It's the kind of pizza that fills your mouth with flavor and keeps all your senses engaged. Parking is shared with nearby stores, and the location is convenient right off busy Ford Road, next to Lucas and a new halal spot. Have lived in Michigan for 13 years and never had a Buddy's pizza. Decided to get my Fiancé and I a 4-corner to share. Ordered roasted garlic and 2x cheese on the whole pizza, and mushrooms & Italian sausage on half. Picked it up and it was opened and closed so I could make sure it was my pizza. Got home and realized when we went to eat it that they only put extra cheese on my half with the mushrooms and Italian sausage. Fiancés side had hardly any cheese. Sadly, we were disappointed, and seeing this was my first Buddy's pizza, I didn't get the WOW factor many people said I was going to get. Most likely will not be back. Way too expensive. Spent $23 with tip for a 4-corner and wasn't happy. Update: Thank you for the reply Michelle, I do belong to the rewards program. I ordered from this location in the way home with the Mac and Cheese from the Plymouth location because we wanted a freak cooked pizza. As stated, we were not impressed. Placed an order for delivery and it was delivered and still warm! They didn't forget anything and we got buy one get one free pizza! We did request the pepperoni to be put on top of the cheese, which they missed, but normally they do that when we call. They must have missed the request since we ordered online. I was disappointed. I am use to the Buddy's in Dearborn and the Dearborn crust is much thicker and more chewy. The new Canton Buddy's was a disappointment. The crust is not as thick and tough. I will try them one more time just to make sure that wasn't a one-time mishap. Do better on the crust, it's suppose to be deep dish and it wasn't deep. read more

Easy to order and easy to pickup, I'm big fan of the takeout locker system. The cubes are numbered and correlate to a screen that has your name and cube number. We went with the Motown Museum pizza and I'm still not sure how much different this is from a standard pepperoni but I can say we liked it and will order it again. The antipasto salad is a must, this is a house favorite. I'm happy that the takeout store is open and off to a good start! read more

After reading the reviews on here, I was hesitant to order but I also think it is only right to give them a fair chance before reaching any conclusions and glad I did! The pepperoni pizza I got (8 square) and the buddy's bread were soooooooo yummy. By far, the best pizza I have tasted while here in Michigan (we are from out of state). The buddy's bread dipped in ranch was also very good! I doordashed the order and it came on time which tells me they prepared it on time. This time I walked into the lobby and there was a massive dead cockroach on the floor, one of the teen girls in the entryway to the kitchen was openly chewing food, and a customer ahead of me was complaining about a previous order they'd gotten completely wrong. Last night I went to pick up my wife's monthly build your own gluten free four square old world pepperoni pizza. When they opened the box to show me my pizza, which was ready five minutes before the estimated wait time, I noticed green peppers. I said I didn't remember ordering green peppers when I was filling out the order on my phone. They told me that green peppers, onions and mushrooms come on the 6 mile pizza. I had accidentally hit two buttons at the same time. I apologized and told them that I was going to have to re-order my wife's pizza because I had made a mistake (because after looking at my receipt on the phone, I had not double checked my order). The manager was there and told me not to worry about it, stating, "these things happen". They remade my correct order and had me out the door as quickly as they could. This is not the Buddys I loved in Detroit. Very disappointed. The crust is soggy and the ingredients are just average at best.

Feels like kids are running this place and aren't trained how to cook. The kids are friendly which is why I even give it a 1 star. However the pizza looked like it fell on the floor and after was placed in a box. They did a horrible job at making a simple cheese pizza. I accepted a delivery for this location last night, anticipating a relatively quick pickup time, based on my experience with the other 2 local Buddy's locations. Further, I was notified via the delivery app that the order at Buddy's was ready as I was picking up another order. 10 minutes later, I arrived at Buddy's and was told that not only was it not ready, but they would not have it ready for another 45 minutes. Having reassigned two orders last week, I thought that I should stick this out and not reassign. Excessive reassignments can result in the driver being deactivated (fired) from the delivery app. I called the delivery company service desk to lodge a complaint, then went ahead and delivered the other order, driving an additional 4 1/2 miles in the process. When I got back to Buddy's, I was told that the order would not be available for another 10 minutes. As it turned out, I had to wait another 7=8 minutes. The young girl at the desk did not seem to understand that you cannot ask anyone, particularly a delivery driver to wait more than 10 minutes for an order and stuck to her original time estimate. When the order was ready, the customer was given another pizza to account for their inconvenience. Maybe I should have reassigned this order and taken my chances with the delivery company. But a wait that long for an order is totally unacceptable, as is the counter person and manager's indifference to my situation. It shows total contempt for delivery drivers. I will not accept any further orders from this location and will not patronize this business as a customer. Furthermore, I will tell anyone who'll listen to avoid this Buddy's location. read more

Well we tried the new Buddy's carryout in canton today. If we were at a dine in location and they put this pizza on our table we would of walked out. They want 2 dollars for each topping and we were ok with that but there was very little toppings the deep dish crust did not rise when cooked and the sauce was watery and had a tin tase to it. We have been to Livonia many times and they did not disappoint but Canton did today. If we could upload a picture we would. read more
