Our most recent trip, I was looking for a joint supplement for my dog. They were very helpful and it turns out their price is lower than even the manufacturer sells it for. Very cool shop nestled in the corner of Bay Village. Look carefully, because it's easy to miss. The proprietor was awesome and friendly and just hung out and chatted with us for a while. I saw a sign for the store, but was a bit confused on the location, and luckily was able to find it in the corner of the area (my fiancé found it actually). They have a lot of good products in here, I just think certain areas are very unorganized (I was on the hunt for a golden retriever car magnet and the two racks of magnets I saw had some of the breeds all out of order). The store owner also did not greet us. The cat area definitely smelled like cats. read more

The selection, the service, and the genuine care for animals at Buddy's shows. I have been multiple times over the last few years and it has always been a good experience. I most recently brought my dog Roxy in for some treats. The owner, noticed that I did not have the right lead for her! She recommended the Harness Lead (which purchased and we love) and she even let me put the lead on my dog and walk around town for 20 minutes. Roxy received multiple treats and pets and it was a great experience. You just don't get service like that at chain pet stores. Thank you!!! read more

If you need a good place to shop for your pets, Buddy's is the perfect place for you. It's in the corner of the stores in Bay Village, but when you walk in you will instantly fall in love with the store and the atmosphere. It's a natural and organic store and everything in there my puppy loves! The owner is absolutely amazing and the sweetest lady ever, and she is also very knowledgeable about what to get for your dog or cat. There has not been one thing there that my dog has not completely loved. The treats are amazing, and the LBI leashes and collars are adorable (especially the beach badge one)! I have been going for years, and I will never stop going. Best place for your pets, hands down!! read more

Was accused of stealing. Said we didn't have the dog collars and the woman made us point to where the dog collars were placed. She had brown hair and was completely rude, glad we decided to not make that purchase. Never shopping there again. read more

I've been shopping here every summer for the last 18 years since we've had a house on LBI. this is the second owner (for several years now) and she is friendly, accommodating and hard working. My dog is blind and the owner goes out of her to make her feel comfortable in the store. She has little freebies for the dogs as well. I love that she raises money for a local rescue. I'm not a friend or connected to this store or owner in anyway. I just love this local little shop and appreciate all it brings to the island. I hate when people use these rating sites to try to destroy a person or business, especially one that is so good in so many ways. Try Buddy's for yourself and be your own judge. read more

Purchased several dog treats. Two of the items... "Sam's Yams" were so completely hard that my dogs would not even bother with them. I tried to break them in half and wasn't able to. Returned to the store and was told only one could be exchanged since they were both opened. Silly me for thinking the second package would be edible. Oh well, lesson learned. Not shopping there again and don't recommend them. read more
