Being close to I-75 is likely why its still in business. it REALLY needs new management, fresh food and someone that is prepared to throw old food away. Start using date and time stamps. Absolutely zero concern for over counter customers. If they are backed up with online orders they will close the register for over an hour. The staff is also not held to any type of standard. I don't understand how these people say that they're not fast food. They have a drive-thru you walk up to the counter and order your food they give you a styrofoam cup to go get your soda. The food was good and fresh. Wings were tasty and fries were cooked right. The staff was friendly it was for the most part quiet and felt like home. The manager I think her name was Melissa gave us hushpuppies and checked on all the customers making sure to talk to us like we were more then just a customer. Really felt good to have a manager treat us good. You don't see too many managers actually care about customers feelings but she did compared to past experiences at this location. read more

KUDOS and thanks to Norman for providing supreme quality customer service! I decided to order the dinner special $6.99. It was a half BBQ served with hushpuppies, coleslaw and Baked Beans. The BBQ was very super tender and fall off the bone delicious. I particularly liked the housemade BBQ sauce which completely complimented it. It was nice and tangy. The sides were superb. The hushpuppies were freshly made while the baked beans were nice and hot. I especially liked their coleslaw. I also must add you should order the smoked turkey for $42.99 during the holidays. It is definitely a must have! I highly recommend everyone stop by who loves BBQ and stop by and say hi to Norman! read more

Drive through is not efficient. It takes about 10min to order your food. Then another 10-15 min to wait for the other cars in line, then another 5 -10 minutes get your order. Buddy's needs a better plan for the drive thru. read more

We went to Buddy's bar-b-q in Clinton tonight....And it was awful ... We got 1/2 of Chicken and it was cut up was so weird I have never seen that before. It looked like a lot of Kids workers there all the tables and trays was dirty everything was Sticky .We will never go back there again. Last two family packs of chicken ($43) were poor quality. Chicken is dry, old, and end up throwing most out. This location used to be super but something has changed for the worse. Average food, horrendous service. Had to wait over 20 min for a hot dog during lunch. Not super busy. Credit card machine was down and bill was $7.49. Gave the cashier $10.50 and I blew his mind. Very nice , looks like a new building. Service was good. The fellow that took our order was patient in letting us decide what we wanted from the menu. I had the beef brisket and my wife had the chopped pork sandwich. The pork sandwich was average. Only 2 sauces, 1 sweet and other Hot. Can't recommend the brisket, as it was very fatty and dry with no taste except for the added sauce. The fries that came with the pork sandwich were just ordinary. The cole slaw apparently came from Walmart. If I lived in the area I would give it a second chance. Very few customers there when we arrived, but upon leaving looked like a lot of locals were showing up for Saturday late afternoon meal. read more

The food is actually pretty good, but the service...not so much. My first business, hardly a smile. No one really seemed to know what they were doing and the older folks in the kitchen were barking orders and rolling eyes at the young kids that were training. I get it, sometimes it's distracting, however they're young and they're learning and that attitude doesn't usually help. Barbecue is pretty good. This seems like it might be a newer location because I haven't been through here in 2 years. I get the fact that prices are higher due to the covid situation right now. But what is very annoying is that they have fancy computerized menu boards that you can change at a moment's notice yet they don't have the correct prices for the beef dishes. I absolutely love the lemon meringue pie at Buddy's. It is similar to the old Chick Filet lemon meringue pie but not quite as good. Anyway, tonight I got in line at the drive through in Clinton. There were two cars ahead of me. After waiting about seven minutes with no one moving I decided to skip it. This I regret to say was not the first time this had happened. I once waited ten minutes during a day shift, and no one was even in line but me. So please whoever owns this franchise train your staff better. Bought my last meal there today. Our last three purchases there have been significantly wrong. Today we ordered 2 pork dinners with bbq beans, potato salad, and hush puppies. The containers were splashed with sauce, slaw remnants, and green bean juice and pieces of green beans. No hush puppies. A container of ice cream we neither ordered nor wanted. No sauce on the side. It honestly looked like they had reused the containers. My potato salad was hot and swimming in green been juice! I threw the food out. It was disgusting.
