Ended up here by accident, stuck to a basic Greek bowl, but I thought it was very good. Staff was polite.

Crêpes are an ultra-thin pancake common in France that can be made sweet or savory, typically rolled or folded with a variety of fillings from jam or Nutella to ham and cheese or fruits. They can be eaten for breakfast, dinner, brunch, dessert, or even a snack. Situated on Riverside Avenue in Lyndhurst, this cozy, simple hidden gem establishment offers an array of healthy options on their diverse menu, to which my partner and I returned after 8 years. Upon entering 3rd Wave Cafe, we were able to get a booth along the wall in an upbeat, casual vibe as the music was playing throughout. We decided on the Tropical Crêpe and Avocado BLT Wrap. I started with a French iced coffee that was really strong and served in a glass mug. The crêpe was fluffy, and the texture was great. I could tell all the fruit in it was fresh because it was sweet. The crepe was decorated nicely with a Nutella drizzle and whipped cream dollops that made it visually pleasing. The food, on top of being good-tasting, had a great presentation. The price was reasonable and the portion a healthy size. The service was friendly and not rushed; our server was Am. We left feeling satisfied and content, and we can recommend returning to explore other menu items.

You have to order their goiabinha, which is a pastry with cheese and guava inside. It comes warm and it's to die for! This time we also got the chocolate truffle pudding which is a Brazilian staple. Their coffees are fantastic too here. Another noteworthy menu item, fresh cheesebread aka pão de queijo. They sell them I believe 3 for a dollar to be sure to order a bunch they are freshly made every hour or so. Servers are super friendly and very cozy vibes inside.

Bread of Life is a fantastic addition to Kearny. As mentioned, great and reasonable prices!…read more A lot of the Portuguese cafes I go to Kearny have been bought out by different owners or somehow changed hands and I've been super disappointed with the coffee. Bread of Life really has a good cup of Joe, try it out. Tonsss of pastry options too! I've been twice and I've grabbed the same thing twice mainly because I was in a hurry but but both things are delicious. A "cloud bread" which is a super light pastry and it's perfectly lightly sweet and delicious. My second favorite is the famous pao de queijo, fresh, chewy and tasty. The ladies behind the counter are super friendly, it's a nice big spot to eat in if you'd like and there's a small lot in front of the strip mall but also tons of street parking. I'll be back to try a juice and some different pastries!
