Amazing food, drinks & service. No place can beat it!! We've been going here for years & can't say enough good things about it.

I went here last night with my daughter. We arrived around 8:15PM- 8:30PM (they close at 9PM). The young lady who took our order had an attitude. She seemed annoyed she couldn't vacuum because, we walked in. I asked for a protein shake she stated "they don't make protein shakes" whey protein was on the menu. So, I ordered a banana & strawberry smoothie to avoid conflict. The smoothie was all berries, I tasted no banana at ALL! it was very watery and usually adding a banana will give the smoothie a thicker texture. My daughter loved her bowl but unfortunately I will never come here again. As we're waiting for our order, 3 more customers walked in. Please teach your staff that customer service and first impression is important. I will never come here again because, of her attitude, laziness, and poor customer service. Workers don't listen to your order and look at you like you are wrong when you bring it up. First time my order was a pick up it was ruined and I tried to give it another chance and go in person and again ruined. There's no communication between the staff. She takes your order and even if you tell how you want it she won't tell the girl in the back so she just makes it like it's entered. Will not be spending any more money in this establishment. read more

Natas & Bowls is my go to breakfast spot. If you like açaí bowls, or bowls of any kind, ditch Playa Bowls (sorry not sorry) & head there! The difference in quality, taste, all of it is obvious. Everytime I go, I get the same order and I am never disappointed. The location has a cool vibe between the chill music, the murals on the wall and the retro Pac-Man machine you can play while you wait. Such a great find and so close to home too! Natas and Bowls specializes in acai/pitaya/green bowls and pasteis de nata, which are egg custard cups. Today I got to try both. The acai bowl was wonderful and huge! Lots of acai for your buck. It generally come with strawberry, banana and granola and you can take it from there. Extra toppings vary from 50 cents to a dollar. The peanut butter on mine was an extra dollar and so worth it. The granola was nice and crunchy and the fruit was fresh. I really like that the acai is not too sweet. You can tell they don't add to much to the berry mix. I'll definitely be back for this! The natas! I got one of each of their specials. Nutella, Oreo and plain. I liked the specialty ones. The Nutella was my favorite. It's basically a spoonful of Nutella on the bottom of the custard. I mean, how can you go wrong? The Oreo was great too. Perfect balance. The regular one however wasn't my favorite. The only reason for this is because they put cinnamon in their custard. Normally when you have a nata they have cinnamon on the side and you can put it on top if you'd like. I like my nata plain and was overwhelmed by the spice when I bit it. Other than that the custard itself was good. The store is also very cute inside, they have some outdoor seating too when it's nice out. The woman behind the counter was super friendly. This is a small well decorated cafe with a cute arcade game in the front to play with while you wait for your food. I came here mostly to try the natas but we also got hot sandwiches for lunch. I really preferred the ham and cheese one I got over the chicken one my boyfriend got, which was not very flavorful. I also ordered a plain nata and an Oreo one. They came cold and I think I should have heated them a little but I was hungry so we just ate them. They were ok but would have been much better fresh or heated. I wish there were more places in the area that offer fresh hot ones like the ones I can get while visiting China. read more

I enjoyed everything I ordered: Nutella filled custard cup, the cappuccino was exactly how I like it ( not bitter or too strong) and was visually enticing. My cheese panini was crispy and nice. The WiFi worked. My mom's pineapple banana smoothie was good as well. I would definitely recommend this spot and would gladly come here again. Bring quarters for parking. read more

I was initially drawn to this spot, thanks to pix of its adorable looking interior. Of course, it didn't hurt that it specializes in one my biggest food obsessions at the moment: Egg Tarts, aka Natas. And Deep Fried Oreo ones at that. Anyway, hubby, kid and I stopped for a late breakfast here on the way to Philly. We tried a bunch of things, including: Acai Bowl: Am not an Acai Bowl expert whatsoever, but I dug this. It wasn't overly sweet and came topped with the standard granola, strawberries, and banana. Afterward, I noticed that various extras, like honey, chia seeds, and condensed milk are available for .50 cents each. This didn't include guarana syrup, which adds a certain authentic sumpin', sumpin', if you ask me. Baked Chicken Empanada: This is served in mini pie form, rather than the traditional half moon shape. It looked delicious, but the kid wasn't sharing. Spinach Pie: Especially liked the light, flaky crust for this. Definitely enjoyable. Classic Egg Tart: Am going to have to take hubby's word on this since I was too full to try it. I know. I know. That's no excuse. But anyway, he was into it. Deep Fried Oreo Egg Tart: In retrospect, I should have asked what the deal was with this... I wound up warming it in the oven at home which I often very successfully do with Egg Tarts, and found that it didn't hold up well. The crust, while flaky, was ultra greasy. The custard filling, while tasty, was really runny. And the Oreo added nothing at all. So now am left wondering if the whole tart was deep-fried??? Maybe it's not worth eating unless you scarf it down it right away? It runs $3.50 v. $1.75 for other creative Nata options like peanut butter and Nutella, and based on this, I'd say it's not worth it. Bola de Berlim filled with Nutella: This Doughnut looked so fluffy and tempting that I couldn't resist ordering it just to try a few bites. Alas, it tasted like it had been sitting around awhile. That being said, I could sense the potential and bet if I'd tried it made fresh, I'd have been a fan. They were out of the custard-filled ones, or I'd have gotten one of those too. As for the space, it's smaller than I imagined, and while cute, the pix make it look more impressive than it does in real life. An overhead TV forgoes the standard soccer games that tend to air at many similar spots in the area for MTV videos, if that tells you anything. Bottom line: Overall, this was a 3.5 star food experience for me, but I really like what they're trying to do here, so am rounding up. read more

Dishonest business. Today I received a processing error on my UberEats order so I placed the order again. The order went through twice, but while I was in the store they said they could cancel it for me, so I thought great! Then I get an email that I was still being charged for both orders because they had already "started making the food". They did not mention this when I was in the store. Stopped in after seeing the place and few IG posts online. Everything looked good so in I went. Got the mixed bowl. The server was extremely friendly and got to work on my order. They were also very helpful in guiding me through the menu. My order was done in about 5 minutes in a nicely plated to go container. It did the trick. Filled me up with not too much guilt. You can change it up with their many topping and make it as unhealthy as you want. I'll come in next time and get something a little more unhealthy lol. Their oreo natas are yummy. If you ever get to taste them. I tried it once. Never saw them there again. Owner refused to take orders for them during the holidays. Okay, fine, I get you might get slammed for Thanksgiving. Just called to place an order for my lunch duty friends (hello, fellow teachers!) tomorrow - super simple order, 3 oreo, 3 nutella and 3 traditional. They said they 'don't have oreo natas at the moment'. When I asked even when it's a specific order for the next day, girl said no. Used to LOVE coming to this place but after coming today, I realize it was a big mistake. If your looking for an OVERLY sweet and not fresh bowl, this is the place. Wow! This place was on point! I came in with my daughter and niece, which a slightly picky eaters when it comes to trying new foods. But today they were not as picky as usual as the food was great! We had a warm corn muffin, which was flavorful. We also had a spinach and feta pie that was buttery but not too creamy. And finally we also had acai bowl topped with Nutella! It was amazing! I also had the spinach and cheese pastry which was very fluffy and tasty and well balanced as well. Nice and flaky. Store is small and cozy. Nice server. And helpful.
