We…read moredecided to take a road trip from LA to SF and back during Spring Break and we're trying to figure out how we were going to travel. We'd toyed with the idea of RV'ing and thought this would be the perfect chance. So, we called a few places and found one online that had good reviews and was in our price range. The price was right, but the guy was REALLY cagey about details. Simple things like, "What happens if the RV breaks down?" were answered with, "That almost never happens. Don't worry about it". We wife checked out the RV before we went to rent it and she was pretty put off. It was dated, to say the least, and considering what we were paying, just didn't seem worth the money. We contemplated changing plans when my wife came across Reyes RV. She spoke with Kimberly and inquired about rates, told her about our experience. She instantly knew where we'd rented from, didn't say a negative word, but invited my wife to come check out what she could offer. Fortunately, it wasn't far away. Just down the street in Canoga Park. She showed us a 30' Conquest with a slide out dinette. It was clean, had leather interior, queen bed, shower, slept 6 and more importantly, it was CLEAN. She also introduced us to David. David is awesome. He made the experience fun and was patient when explaining how everything works. He gave us his cell phone, which we used, in case anything went wrong, which it will in an RV, so you have to be flexible. He was always available when we called and the tech explained how to solve the different problems we had. The Conquest was very comfortable and we had a great time bonding while on the road. We stopped at some great RV Parks a long the way. We cooked out every night and only turned on our phones for music. Hands down, one of the best trips we've ever had! We're planning another trip with some family friends in the near future and are going to caravan up the coast line. We'll be calling the people at Reyes RV Rentals in Canoga Park again. When you need it, you called them the day before and they actually take it outside for you. So all you have to do is get inloaded and pull away. I heartily recommend this place. From the moment I called the main office Mika took my call within 15 minutes we had a beautiful Mercedes Revel RV, ready to go! It was our third year anniversary trip and we were little nervous about taking a weeklong trip in the RV, but Mika was there for us and even gave us her personal number in case we had any issues on the road. Jane delivered the RV right on time gave us the walk-through and within 20 minutes we were on our way to the Pacific Northwest. I cannot recommend chill RV more! great experience!

My experiences have been so bad that i was waiting for something to go wrong or for there to be a catch at the end with fees. But everything went smooth from booking the RV, picking up, and returning the RV. Joey was super helpful from the beginning. He responded quickly to any emails we sent with questions and gave us all the information we needed at pick up. He was great to work with and was the main reason this experience went so smoothly. There were no surprising fees in the end and the return process was quick and easy. The RV we rented was called the "pinocchio" and it was by far the nicest one i've been in. I will be sure to use Expedition Motorhomes for all my RV rentals in the future.

Based on how it was handled, it felt like this may have been a known issue, but it was brushed off. When I returned the RV, I was 10 minutes late and was charged a $50 late fee. I understand policies, but that felt excessive given the situation. I also saw a sign in their office offering free generator hours or miles for leaving Yelp/Facebook reviews, which made me question the review process. Based on my experience, I wouldn't rent from them again.

Ed and Arturo took great care of us, making sure that we had everything we needed, and even went over specific tips and tricks we could use to conserve as much power as possible since we were boondocking for the first time. Ed answered my billion questions over the months leading up to our booking, and made me feel very confident and secure everything would go well. Arturo gave us a great walkthrough of all the RV's features and really set us up for success. When you're talking with these guys, you know that they really care about you having a fantastic and easy time on your adventures. The RV was fully stocked with everything we could have needed - linens, coffee machine, kitchen gear, cleaning supplies, the works! I definitely did not need to pack so much, because it was clear that they had already thought of everything their clients might need. The RV was pristinely clean and didn't have a single technical issue. And the fact that they take Sunday dropoffs was a lifesaver! This was the first time we'd ever rented an RV, and the whole experience was so smooth and comfortable that I can't wait for another excuse to go on an RV trip. We definitely will be booking with Road Shark in the future.

8/8/24-8/11/24 Mini-getaway…read more My family and I are not outdoorsy people, but we decided to surprise my kids with an opportunity to glamp with a fancy RV. I did a lot of research on private rental companies vs. owner rentals. I really liked how luxurious the interiors were and how they offered delivery and pick up. It was more pricey but I wanted to be comfortable. I decided to give Road shark a try and it worked out beautifully. *One thing I did not know is how much additional rental insurance etc. you had to tack on with the rental. Besides that, the amenities were suitable for my family of four and my two fur boys. I checked in with Brett prior to delivery date to get some of my questions answered. He personally delivered the RV and gave us a run down of all the amenities and how to operate everything. I appreciated the accuracy of the yelp photos of the interiors. So many times you rent and find out when you arrive, the pictures were very outdated and what you get paid is not what you get. Not in this case. I paid for Wifi connection but they did not bring an ipad for connectivity. Brett apologized and said he would comp us for the Wifi charge. He told us we could just use our phone's hotspot and connect. It worked out nicely, and we had Wifi at the campgrounds. We were comped for it. Brett made sure we understood all instructions before he hailed an uber back to LA. Since it was out first time RV-ing, we went to KOA in San Diego to reduce anxiety. the drive was smooth up to 65 miles per hour. When we exceeded the recommended speed, things would start rattling and shaking. We quickly understood why we had to adhere to the speed recommended to drive. Other than that, my kids were very happy sitting in the back enjoying their onboard entertainment. When we arrived at the campgrounds, went pulled into our spot with full hookups. We took note the black water port did not have an adapter so we could not hook it up full time to empty. I texted Brett and he said we could either purchase a kit that would be reimburses or not empty it (and we would not get charged since no adapter). We later figured out a way how to manually empty as needed. Everything else worked well. I was extremely surprised at how well the convection oven/microwave worked for the kids chicken nuggets and corn dogs. Even though all the kitchenware was included in the RV, we still brought our own pans and disposable dishware. The beds were clean, freshly laundered sheets smelled great but did not fit the beds well (probably a common issue). It only comes with 3 sets of sheets and towels. Only two pillows which I also asked Brett about. He said we could purchase some and they will comp us for the cost. We survived without it. We took a shower the first night on the RV but then decided to transition to the showers in the building due to space. The onboard water temp and pressure was great. I did not have to worry about running out of hot water. The toilet flush pressure was also ideal to combat my husbands bathroom trips. No issues with the kitchen sink or any other appliances. The fridge was a perfect size for all our meats and frozen desserts. The car shades in front and the shades for the interior created a perfect environment for sleep. We really enjoy the outside LED light awnings. We utilized the camp ground picnic table and internet to eat dinners and watch movies around the campfire. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Brett had great communication throughout the trip and the last day as we came home. I let him know we were heading back and he let us know when he would be coming over to provide pick up. We got home, he came to pick up the RV, and he was on his way back to LA. About a week later I received the email about the $1,500 deposit scheduled for refund on our account, and he swapped the pick up delivery/fee with the Wifi charge. I highly recommend renting with RoadShark RV. We had a great newbie glamping experience. The price of a comfortable and newer interior rental made all the difference for me and my family. Then the brush fire happened and got relocated to Hungry Valley. Understandable . Both times that they relocated us , Kelly was very accommodating and communicative through text. She made sure that we keep the same day , same time slot no matter what or offer a full refund. When we got to the location in the day of , Silvia and girl (I forgot her name ) who checked us in were very helpful and nice and wanted to make sure we were prepared . During these COVID times , they took our temperature , made sure we sanitized our hands , and put a sanitary head and mouth covering on before putting the sanitized helmet on . We got there an hour early because we had to commute from an hour away and wanted to be on time . They let us ride early as soon as we got there and Sylvia was a fantastic guide . She took amazing pictures of us and made sure we were okay throughout the ride The trail was beautiful and the scenery was captivating . We took "Slim" up to Sequoia National Forest and it was the perfect home away from home in the woods. Despite being loaded with gear, the van had a lot of get-up-and-go on the freeway and handled surprisingly well on the twisty mountain roads. The van was basically brand new (lucky us!), and was fully stocked with all the essentials. The bed was super comfy and the house battery never dropped below 85 despite us being parked in a wooded area for most of the trip. We found the 20 gallon fresh water tank was the perfect amount for about 4 days of dishes and misc. But you could definitely stretch that if you're careful. Wade is a gracious host and his service is very responsive. He coordinated with us for pickup and was flexible on the details, and even let us know that we'd left some items in the van. Would highly recommend Sunstorm Vans!
