I've stayed at Walnut several times, often for a few weeks at a time and I cannot say enough great things about this park. First off, the staff is wonderful. Sue and Eva run a clean and well-maintained place and they always have time for a smile and kind word. The park has strict rules but it serves to keep the place safe and visually appealing. Since it's in the San Fernando Valley it's busy but located in a very safe and convenient part of town. The spaces are well worth the price, you can walk to the mall and many other restaurants and shops. This is an urban park with very few drive-through spaces but the spaces are plenty wide enough to fit a large rig and park 2 cars. They have showers, a coin laundry, and lots of trees around the park. The guests have always been friendly and considering it's in the middle of LA, it's pretty quiet at night. They have a really comfy & well-appointed common room for meetings, watching tv, checking email, or just playing pool and their swimming pool is crystal clear. Highly recommended! read more

I'll kick off by saying that the location is fairly easy to get to from the freeways, but it's still a bit of a trek from most of the major attractions around Los Angeles. Because of this, the price feels a bit on the steep side, especially given the outdated bathrooms and showers. The pool was absolutely freezing too much to enjoy. One thing that really stood out as a bit of an eyesore (and honestly quite off-putting) was the overflowing dumpster. I discovered there's only one tiny bin for all the campers, and during our stay, it got so bad that it looked like people were chucking their bags of trash into the recycling bin. On the plus side, the people were friendly, and the groundskeeper was fantastic. He even took my trash bag and got rid of it for me so I didn't have to go anywhere near the mess. I noticed he was always on the go, making sure everything around the campsite was clean apart from the trash area which had really no hope. All in all, this is a place I'd consider as a stopover to break up my journey, but I wouldn't make it the main destination nor an extended stay. We've experienced better amenities for this price at other private sites. read more

Clean, pool, laundry room The manager or owner yelled at me several times. I tried to follow rules. I'm not perfect but dang. There were several sites that were breaking rules from the enormous rule book. It wasn't necessary and I felt uncomfortable there. Left early. It's good to be picky so your park is nice but don't treat people like crap. read more

2 THUMBS DOWN!!! Not a GREAT experience! Went in to get my fur baby water and within 3 minutes the Manager says to me...."excuse me...you can't leave your dog chained up out here..." YET....kids can be running a muck ALL DAY on bikes and running around...never saw a parent! SMH!!! Not a hello....or a hi....or how are you today!??? The dog run is a joke....who runs their dog with the leash on....really!!!! Oh...and no pets allowed sign...in the laundry room...wow you are sooo pet friendly for my service dog you said! Total BS!!! Dog treats in the lobby and all.....but the doggy is not welcome to be a doggy nor truly welcome! WE MOVED AFTER A WEEK!!! read more

We have been camping at Walnut RV Park multiple times a year for 4 years and it is wonderful. The pool area is relaxing, clean and very enjoyable. The entire facility is great, but what really makes it amazing are the people. They are the best! I have dealt with Jenna, Sue and Beth in the past and they have been so helpful and friendly. Great location. Christal and Klinton are great. I stayed at location a little under a year. At first it seemed to be a working RV park which was good but missing the family feeling seeing how I had small children. I started to notice the park adding family events and became a location that I loved. I def recommend. read more

Worst experience so far as a new RV'er. Pool was always dirty. Had to clean it myself. Trash cans always full. 2 showers for over 100 hundred people. Spots uneven. Dogs crap all over the place except in dog park and they don't care or penalize them. They cater to foreigners and daily people they can overcharge and rip off according to Amanda, the skinny one. Most of these reviews are outdated to cater to them since i am sure the pay yelp to post good reviews that are old and outdated. Don't prove who you are or then their system goes down and need to overcharge you because you don't pay monthly to stay in one spot since that is more work these lazy people have to do to keep doing extra work. Work they are paid to do in the first place. Unless you are desperate or a foreigner I suggest you don't go here. Except for Marian and Augustin, the staff is useless and do not know how to communicate with customers who give them a job. FYI- Be ready to smell Skunks and not the employees but the actually skinks that spray and room the park. read more

We absolutely loved this charming RV park nestled right in the middle of a great neighborhood- Northridge. The staff was extremely helpful in moving our date as we needed to come a day earlier and stay an extra day too. The staff also gave us great tips for enjoying Universal Studios that were spot on. It's definitely tight for bigger campers and RVs but they are pros at making sure your site is the right one for you. The grounds and community building are immaculate. We walked to dinner (there's a plethora of places to eat and shop within walking distance) and it was easy enough to get to the things we wanted to do in LA. We easily did our laundry before we left too. I would change a thing about our stay, except I wish it had been more than 3 days. We will definitely be back! read more

This is the best Rv park I've stayed at by far. The environment that the park creates, with its abundance of trees and greenery truly makes you feel like you're in the mountains, while still being in the middle of the city. There are a numerous amount of stores ranging from groceries to clothing all around and an endless amount of fun activities within walking distance. The staff makes checking in easy and smooth, and often provide park inclusive activities to allow you to get familiar with your neighbors. Over all a 10/10 experience and would be more than happy to stay here again!! read more

We stayed there for 7 days. It's a well kept Rv park, the pool was nice and clean. All the Rv's are well taken care of. The only thing I didn't like is that the spaces are very narrow but other than that it was a nice stay. read more

This is my go to RV park whenever I am in North Los Angeles area. Excellent management,grounds are impeccable, and staff is friendly and knowledgeable.It is conveniently located to attractions in Hollywood and the surrounding area. One of the rudest humans I have ever met. Called in a reservation for 2 nights in the height of corona virus. When we arrived we questioned two nights, we may not want to stay for both. The fluid nature of this pandemic could result in a lockdown of Los Angeles, a place I don't want to be. She refused to credit the second night, citing a 72 hour cancel policy. We just made the reservation 2 hours ago! Rude and obnoxious person. After talking with the manager, she "begrudgingly" refunded the second night. In this time, for a business to be hung up on their policy (which was never told as we made reservation) is shameful. They were not gracious nor kind. As the stay progressed, she locked the pool gate citing "lightening" even though there was none. Clearly a way to make our stay less pleasant. If you're looking for a clean yet expensive place to stay with horrible management, this is your spot. read more

I was able to get a spot on short notice and I was happy to find a wide space for my trailer. The park is small and has a nice little pool, the staff are very friendly, and the location is convenient to several good restaurants (love Porto Bakery!) and the mall. The park is clean and quiet, with paved streets and gravel spots. Wi-Fi is advertised but I wasn't able to access the internet with it, but I was able to get 5G coverage with my cell phone (Verizon). On March 18,2017 my family was camping at the walnut rv. A stray bullet struck the rear of my rv lodging into the frame of the bunk bed my son was sleeping on. Needless to say we felt very "unsafe" L.A.P.D. told us this was not the first stray bullet they had seen. We was very disappointed in the office staff. They just did not seem to care about the fact that a BULLET struck our rv . The lack of compassion, interest, or care truly shows the content of character. Definitely would not recommend staying here. read more

Clean, safe, and well run. The rules can seem a bit strict sometimes, but that's why this park shines compared to most others. The rules keep it from becoming a slum. Most long term people here are tradesmen or retirees. The people are friendly. My work brought me here. I've been here for several months and can't complain about anything. read more

This place was a joke! As soon as we got there BETH already started complaining. "You can't park there" "Quiet time is at 9pm" It was 7:30pm! It felt as if everything we did was a problem. I went here to ask about possibly renting out a space for my client. She just experienced domestic violence and we were working to get her away from that. We are lucky in that she has an RV. We were asking how much, the specifics about the process but as soon as we said we "had a client" they immediately shut us down. They wouldn't answer about the process, we just wanted to know if it was walk in or by appointment and the older woman kept talking over the younger girl there by saying "we aren't going to say that" or "we aren't going to make a promise on that" when all I needed was an answer on the procedure. I would go as far as to say they were rude and discriminatory and it was made clear that our client wasn't welcome there. I did property management for 18 years and I have never been treated as rudely as how this woman treated us. read more

This was the most wonderful RV Park my family has ever been to. Very clean, quiet and quaint park. Clean facilities. Great for families. Close to everything! Walking distance to the mall which includes tons of restaurants and shops. Very close to theme parks and the beach. The staff is very attentive and do their best to make your stay a memorable one. Traveling cross country with my husband! This is my bucket list as i have terminal cancer. I called to get a spot for a couple of days so we could see the sites of Hollywood. We have a nice 2001 RV motorhome. The lady told me that they do not accept anything older than 2005. In my opinion this is very snotty and i would not want to be around people like that anyway. We have stayed at a lot of really nice campgrounds! We will take our money elsewhere.! read more

We found this location via an RV travel sight. Our son lives in the area so we asked him to check out this place and another one near by as we drove up from SoCal. He strongly suggested Walnut RV Park over the other ~ the main reason being safety. The location is great ~ close to the highway, restaurants, and a host of other stores. The park is small. Maybe 60-65 spaces. No pull through sites. Spaces are close, but large enough and the street between the spaces is large enough to back in. Big rigs are welcome, 50 amp service, water and sewer. The sights are gravel, but pretty level. Nice laundry facility on site and a small pool. We are relocating to CA and needed to extend our stay. The manager was very nice. Even though we had to move 3 times during our stay we honestly did not mind because the location was great, staff and other RV'ers were very friendly and helpful. The park does allow extended stays. The 4 star rating is simply because a lot of the long term RV's were eye sores. A lot of junky sights which is sad because this park could really be a gem. read more

We have been flying by the seat of our pants with everything closing around us in LA. I booked an RV spot two hours prior to arriving at the RV park for two nights. When we arrived we asked to cancel the second night due to changes from Corona virus. They argued with us and told us there are no refunds. Refunds must be done 72 hours in advance even though I booked it two hours prior. I tried to explain to the nasty lady that these are not normal times and we might have to head home to Nevada. Her response was, like Nevada is going to be any better than here. The humanity of the people operating this park is revolting. I have never been treated more vile. You should be ashamed!! read more

This is a very pleasant park that is well maintained with good sized lots. Convenient to basin, valley, and Malibu Beach locations mostly within 30-45 minute drives.
