It is housed in a quaintly renovated building, and has a great vibe. We each ordered the 4 tastes with 1 drink option. I stuck to gins and he stuck to whiskey. I really liked their gins - so smooth and unique tasting due to the quality local grains they use to make their spirits. I was told the whiskeys were also very good - and we ended up taking home 4 bottles. The most unique thing we purchased was the whiskey with cocoa infused in it. It sounds weird, but it makes it almost drinkable to anyone - including me, who tends to stay far away from whiskey! The chocolate doesn't make it sweet, but it makes it rich and smooth. We will enjoy our purchases!! I highly recommend coming here if you happen to be in Billings.

Great apps--the hoisin chicken flatbread was brilliant. And the pasta of the night was awesome, rich sauce, sugar snap peas, chicken. Bombs of taste and very filling. We started with the octopus appetizer and a gluten-free pita. The pita seemed more like a basic gluten-free pizza crust than traditional pita, but that was a minor point because the muhammara was excellent and the pita/crust worked really well with the octopus. They also did a good job accommodating gluten-free needs throughout the meal, via a dedicated gluten-free menu. For dinner, I had the stuffed pork chop, which had a somewhat Greek-inspired preparation. It was served over orzo and stuffed with feta and olives. Really flavorful, well executed, and a more interesting preparation than the typical pork chop. My wife had the duck and enjoyed it as well. We paired dinner with a bottle of Nebbiolo. Their overall wine selection was solid. The atmosphere was comfortable and polished without being overly formal, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Good food, interesting menu, nice atmosphere, and strong service.

We enjoyed the compote and were very satisfied with the starter. I got the fancy French toast with the andouille sausage and eggs. The French toast was really good. You could taste the vanilla. And sausage and eggs were exactly what you would expect them to eat. My partner got the garden ravioli and it was OK- probably would not order it again: all of the vegetables were blended in. The iced tea was good and fresh. Wheelchair accessibility: there was very limited accessible parking at this restaurant. And the ramp was quite long, but it was there. Ok, so, we started with crab cakes and oysters. The oysters were East Coast oysters and I'm from NY, so I had to get them. I haven't had raw oysters in over 20 years, and these did not disappoint! They were so delicious, I ordered 4 more, but they only had one more of the one I wanted, and I happily took it. The crab cakes were good, too. So maybe we should have quit while were ahead.... It took an hour to get our meals, and when we did, I was unimpressed. Mine was slopped onto the plate, with mashed potatoes smeared on the side and the sauce dripped on sides of the inside of the rimmed plate. The potatoes looked congealed, like they had been sitting out, and they had, because the food was cold. I asked for it to be heated up, and I'm fairly convinced they microwaved it, because the plate was warm, but the food still wasn't. The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. We are so grateful for that. We will be back for a pretzel. And more oysters.

I grew up in Montana. I know prime rib. Prime rib is practically a food group here…read more We have our favorites--On the Rocks in Worden and 3 North Bar & Grill in Acton. Both serve AMAZING prime rib. But tonight we thought, "You know what? Let's branch out. Let's try the Windmill again! It was GREAT a few years ago!" That was our first mistake. We didn't have reservations and they were packed, so we sat in a booth on the bar side. Fair enough. Busy restaurant, Saturday night vibes, whatever. We can be patient. Ten minutes go by before we get WATER. Another ten minutes before anyone comes over to take our drink and food order. Then we wait. And wait. And WAIT. Nearly an HOUR later, our food finally arrived. At this point I assumed they had gone out back, located the cow, negotiated the terms of its surrender, processed it, and THEN started cooking our dinner. Surely after an hour, this prime rib was going to absolutely SLAP. Friends. It did not slap. It barely tapped. I ordered the prime rib, but what arrived tasted like a ham steak wearing a fake mustache trying to sneak into the beef section. The texture was bizarre. The flavor was bizarre. The entire thing was having an identity crisis. I kept looking at it like, "Sir... are you SURE you're prime rib?" Meanwhile, my son ordered the "Prime Top Cut Sirloin." Apparently "top cut" means they launch it directly into the sun and wait for it to return. That poor steak was BURNT on the outside and tough. I'm pretty sure if we'd had another 20 minutes, we could've attached a handle to it and used it as a cutting board. Look, I understand busy restaurants. I understand slow service. I understand kitchens getting backed up. But after nearly an hour, I expected a prime rib so magnificent that angels would descend from Heaven carrying au jus. Instead, I got a ham impersonator and my son got a roofing shingle. We came for prime rib. We left with questions. SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. The Windmill we remembered from a few years ago was GREAT. Whatever happened tonight was an entirely different cinematic universe. Prime rib: currently experiencing an identity crisis. Sirloin: cremated. Wait time: long enough to reconsider every decision that brought us here. That cow deserved a better ending. And after waiting almost an hour, SO DID WE. Next time I'll drive the extra couple of miles for a few More ounces and a well deserved Food coma.. That is all.
