One of my first reviews that isn't about food!…read more Seriously, where do I start? Sneakerheads and nonsneakerheads alike come together at this place to really enjoy some great vibes this place gives. This place has a GREAT selection of sneakers to buy that isn't normally at your malls. If you need some neck breakers, this is your place to go! Living in New Orleans my entire life, I've always appreciated a place like Politics! They seriously do care about the locals around here ! This place has all the limited sneaker releases as well as some pretty cool shirts, shorts, jerseys, and more to keep up with the trends. The staff here are VERY nice and do cater to what you need. They do Sunday events once every month to help give locals a chance to cop the most coveted sneakers of the month. Events can range to pop ups, sunday raffle/games, and just all around chilling in their store. Sneaker Politics has stores in Baton Rogue, New Orleans, Lafayette, and now Austin! Keep a look out on their Instagram for all the latest news!

The tracking never moved, and when I contacted the company they couldn't even confirm whether the package was actually shipped or ever picked up by the carrier. Instead of taking responsibility, they immediately blamed the post office and said the package was lost. However, the post office advised me to verify if the seller had physically mailed the item at all -- something the company was unable to prove. It seems like a shipping label may have been created without the item ever being handed over. No clear answers, no proof of shipment, and no real effort to resolve the issue. Customers shouldn't have to do the investigation themselves after paying for an order. Very disappointing experience and I would be cautious ordering from them.

We got pulled in by the window set ups and sleek looking interior...and the promise of cool athletic gear was a bonus. The store is a boutique style spot with a focus on athletic goods from shoes, shirts, bottoms, hats and accessories. They have a cool shoe wall that features a small variety of men's and women's sneakers. The rest of the store is dedicated to clothing and accessories. They have several name brands, but also feature a few smaller brands specific to the style of clothing. Pricing ranged. There was nothing that seemed wildly expensive, but also nothing that seemed like the deal of a lifetime. The store is in great condition, well kept and was super clean. Plus they had that AC running, so the pop in was nice for many reasons! Service was solid as well. The staff was friendly, welcoming us in, checking on us during the shop and wishing us well. Overall, unexpected spot given the area that turned out to be a pretty cool spot to browse!

I feel compelled to share this experience, not out of malice, but out of disappointment and a deep…read moresense of frustration. As someone who not only spends a considerable amount of money at local businesses but also takes pride in supporting establishments within our community, I walked into this place expecting even the most basic level of respect. What I received was the complete opposite. Upon entering the establishment, I approached the owner directly and greeted him, trying to initiate a respectful, face-to-face interaction. To my surprise, and honestly my disbelief, he never looked up, never responded, and never acknowledged me at all -- as if I wasn't even standing there. There was no excuse, no distraction, no crowd, no reason not to extend a simple courtesy like eye contact or a greeting. This wasn't just bad customer service -- it was flat-out disrespect. What made the situation even more unsettling is that his own staff, who were standing nearby, were the only ones who showed any kind of professionalism. One of them looked over and said, "Good evening." That moment spoke volumes. If your team has to pick up the slack for your lack of basic human decency, something is seriously wrong with how your business is being run. I've come here before and spent real money -- not just once, but many times -- because I believed in putting my dollars into businesses that represent our city, our people, and our culture. But it's hard to continue supporting a place when the owner himself can't even show an ounce of gratitude or humility to the very customers who keep his doors open. Being a community-based business means something. It means showing love back to the people who show love to you. It means engaging, being present, and understanding that your energy and attitude affect every single person who walks through your doors. When you show your true colors -- especially to someone who's supported you without asking for anything in return -- people take notice. To anyone considering doing business here, I strongly advise you to think twice. It's one thing to have an off day, but it's another to make someone feel unseen, unappreciated, and unwelcome -- especially when they come with respect. I won't be back, and I won't recommend this place to anyone in my network until the ownership learns what true customer service -- and community care -- really looks like.
