At first, I was skeptical about the fact the everything in the office looked old: the chairs in the waiting area, the office equipment, the oral Surgeon. But Dr. John Mitchelling was amazing! He was thorough with explaining how the extraction would go and what to expect. He and the office staff made me free comfortable during my surgery and at the follow up appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchelling!

While I have no complaints about the actual removal, I ended up having a severe adverse reaction to the anesthetic they gave me. I went home feeling fine but over the course of the day my body felt awful and was kind of stiff feeling. The next morning I woke up and could barely move anything below the neck. I had to have my mother & my daughter pull me by my arms into a sitting position and then off the bed where I was bent over and I hobbled to the bathroom. I had to hold onto the door handle on the inside of the bathroom to help me off the toilet. It got way worse as the day progressed. Eventually I said there was no way anyone was going to wake up to help me do anything throughout the night. So we had to call an ambulance. I was diagnosed with rigidity due to the anesthetic and a genetic neuromuscular disease I have, CMT. I was warned to never undergo general sedation ever again. This is something the anesthesiologist should have known about and made changes to my care while I was under their care. I don't know if the anesthesiologist is someone who solely works for Dr Mitcherling or if she works for the surgical center. I had the rest of my teeth pulled with just local anesthetic and was fine.

On Thursday 12/27/2012 I had to get 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed and was extremely nervous,…read moreseeing as how through the grace of GOD I have never had any type of surgery performed on my body. Some may call it a small job but to me it was huge. I had my work done by a maxillofacial, oral surgeon by the name of Bernard Ian Krupp,DDS at the Krupp Center. I must say walking in I was fine and they made me feel very secure and trusting in them. However, once I sat in the chair the gitters started to kick in; the nurse knew it when I asked to use the bathroom. She said "hurry back and don't run out on us". ahhahahaahhahaha! It was so ironic because that is exactly what I was thinking almost like she was reading my mind. Just as well I know I wasnt the only one who has been like this. After the restroom i sat back down nervouslly. Once she place the mask on my face for sedation, I started to become more relaxed of coarse. Almost like I had a couple shots of vodka, lol. Oddly enough I never felt like I went to sleep, when I woke up I said to the surgeon "when am I suppose to fall asleep"? He started laughin and says, "were done Mr. Stephens". Well once it was over I felt so relieved that it was done and the process was successful. I have been following all the rules that the surgeon have set for me and the healing is coming along very well. Oddly, I have not had any swelling, which may be due to the amount of ice I have had on my face. Secondly, I have codeine, amoxicillin and ibuprofen that I have been taken. Ironically, with all these medications I'm taking I still feel normal; even after the surgery I was walking and talking regular. I just would like to say the Krupp Center is highly recommended not just by me but from other reviews. The dentist I visited prior to the Krupp Center informed me that they would have to break my jaw bone to remove the teeth because of how impacted it was (they were literally facing horizontal). The Krupp Center didnt take more than 30mins for the surgery and they didnt have to break my jaw bone. So if you or anyone you know needs to have their wisdom teeth removed inform them to take a look at the Krupp Center.

The new dentist is awful. He consistently runs behind--/and hour or more for the first appointment,…read moredoes not show up in time and is not nearly as knowledgeable. Don't bother.

Dr Gupta took little time to numb me up and remove the crappy bridge that was fouling up my breath and oral health! The bridge he designed was of excellent quality and folks tell me they can't tell (he had to shave an extra tooth to correct the previous horrible bridge). I found the techs to be very kind and caring though Dr Gupta can be a bit gruff and abrupt. He should treat them with more care because they do all they can to make patients feel welcome and do not argue with Dr Gupta when he gets excited. He needs to value his staff.

Then one of the techs (who did not seem to have any idea what was going on in the clinic) laid an xray protective pad across my chest and proceeded to take xrays without even speaking with me about what she was doing. I then sat another 15 minutes without Any of the techs (there were three of them in and out of the room speaking to each other) communicating with me about what was going on. I finally spoke up about it and was later admonished by Dr. Gupta. When I was finally seen by Dr. Gupta, the tech who took my xrays came to help and stood way too close (body pressed against my arm) and proceded to shove the drain around my mouth even as the dentist told her to get out of the way. The water pick he was using kept spraying my face and neck and the suction drain kept dripping on my face, at which point, either one of them would decide to take the "napkin" hanging around my neck and wipe my face with it. This happened not just once but multiple times. My purse, which I had been advised to place on a chair nearby, was pushed to the floor and ended up wet. I got up to leave and walked down the hall, at which point, they ran after me with some fluoride and had me rinse with that in a separate room. All this for a basic cleaning! I have never in my life been so disgusted with my dental care. Stay far, far away from this place!
