I've also noticed a continued issue with lash retention. I have been getting my lashes done for years so I know all about upkeep and do my part to ensure I protect my investment. Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. I had two separate instances of my lashes not holding up as they should have. I decided to try a new tech Tamara today. I booked a two week volume fill. I visited just before Christmas and came back a few days into the New Year. I was not contacted prior to my appointment to be told that I would not be able to do this. Mind you, I booked a few days in advance. Instead once I was at her station with product on my eyes, that's when she mentioned that I only had a few lashes left on my left eye and since I visited in December I'd have to do a full set. This is predatory behavior. I showed you a photo of what I wanted. Before service or during the time you walked in or when I discussed what I wanted was the time to bring this up so I can decide if I still want to move forward. NOT when my eyes are shut. Furthermore, I found her to be less than hospitable. There was no one in the shop when I came in. I went to the restroom so I know that. The lady at the front desk with purple hair notified me when I returned that Tamara knew I'd arrived. She comes through the door Stanley cup in hand and doesn't even acknowledge me. She goes to her station and a few minutes later, walks up to me and says "I'm ready for you now." Manners have truly gone out of the door. This was my FIRST time working with her. A simple hello when she walked in and walked past me would have sufficed instead she completely acted like I wasn't there. This is Atlanta lash techs are a dime a dozen. The relationship you build with clients is imperative to maintain business and a good reputation. Unfortunately, I will not be patronizing her again because I found her rude and her attempt to get more money out of me was predatory. I'll either work with another tech or find a different salon. This place focuses a LOT on pricing and not enough on ensuring customers are treated with kindness or at the least, respect. I've worked in customer facing roles, I would ALWAYS acknowledge a client. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Needless to say, after my first visit to Elan Organic Nail Boutique, I am utterly devastated by my experience. The Russian manicure with GelX did not meet my expectations. The pedicure felt rushed and incomplete, as the calluses were not removed as promised. Lastly and most importantly, I am extremely upset about my brows. The woman who did my brows literally ripped a patch of hair out. Tried to hide it by filling my brows in immediately after waxing and plucking them so I wouldn't notice. It was disheartening that she didn't even acknowledge her mistake, and allowed me to go on about my day as if nothing happened. Imagine how I felt looking in the mirror after washing my face, only to discover a noticeable chunk missing from my eyebrows. The very next morning, I reached out to the salon to request a refund, hoping to resolve these issues amicably. Although the owner initially agreed to fully refund me, she later reneged on her promise. To add insult to injury, the owner insisted that I come in person so she could assess my brows, despite the fact that I had already sent her clear photographs demonstrating the bald spot that wasn't there when I arrived at the salon the piror day. The request was particularly inconvenient, given that I live on the opposite side of town and had to endure a 30-minute drive to the salon, followed by an hour back through Atlanta's notorious rush hour traffic. When I met with her, the owner was not empathetic to the fact that I was devastated at the fact that I was missing a chuck of my eyebrow, but instead made comments like "I need to calm down." She went on to make more excuses, claiming she didn't know what my brows looked like before the service. However, everyone in the nail salon the prior day saw what my brows looked like before getting the wax. I even provided her before pictures and she tried to dismiss those by saying I had on makeup or there was a filter. Which are all false. She continued to dismiss my concerns with comments like, "sometimes things like this happen." In what universe is it ok to botch a customer's wax on their face and try to cover it up? I'll wait. Then try to gaslight said person and not provide a refund for the pain, suffering and inconvenience of it all. I feel completely undervalued as a customer. DO NOT patronize this business. I put heavy eye makeup and it used to be a pain whenever it came to washing up but I'm not as nearly cautious as I used to with mink lashes. Just make sure you are cautious the first 12 to 24 hours for sure. Appointment is by reservation and the staff is very nice and caters to your requests. It took around an hour for my lashes and the chair had a pillow to be comfortable and a blanket can be provided if you're cold. So much better than my last place where I would wake up with a neck crank... I have sensitive neck/back. I couldn't be any more satisfied with my lashes here. I believe I got the mid length with curls and every time I brush it, it's in perfect curls!!! Def will be coming back~ Side note, they have the cutest nail stations. I always want a full look without looking fake and Miri is able to deliver on making my lashes look very natural and full. I've been to lash salons that pull and tug and have my eyes burning during the process, but when Miri is doing my lashes I manage to fall asleep in the chair every time, LOL. If you want quality lashes I can't recommend either of the technicians enough. They are both great!
