The food is great and location is central and has lots of seating. Only issue is the pricing. I asked for an extra sauce and was charged $2 for a small amount. That seems excessive, I was expecting like fifty cents or less. If it really worth charging your customers that much for a small amount of sauce? Then it was $5 for a tiny amount of rice and beans, which is fairly inexpensive to make, so that didn't add up either. The plantains were $7 and came with no sauce, which is why I asked for some. The first time we stopped in here was a few years ago. We were impressed by the food (even though there only a few things on the menu) and the delicious Cuban coffee. Then it all went downhill from there . We stopped by with our 6# puppy intending to sit outside on their outside, uncovered area. I am a huge lover of Cuban food and what a pleasant surprise it was to stumble upon Buchi in little old Leadville. Cuban sandwiches are my favorite and I am a critic of them I suppose. They have the exact right kind of authentic bread you should use in a Cuban sandwich. The Cuban mix was made perfectly with all of the ingredients you should have on a Cuban. They didn't try to make it trendy- they made it authentic. Price is on point and the portion is substantial. I managed to finish the entire thing because it was so good, but could easily stretch it for two meals. Boyfriend got the Aye Conyo and enjoyed it as well.
