Every auto repair shop I called along 81 told me they couldn't take me without an appointment. Luckily I reached Fix It Rite Auto and they made a spot for me to come in during their lunch break. They quickly diagnosed the issue and gave a simple fix and I was able to get back on the road to NH with zero issues. I would highly recommend them to anyone having auto troubles in the area.

I'll elaborate on those specific jobs in a second. Kevin is honest, mindful of your budget limits, and a surprising rarity in the repair business. This is my first review on Yelp, I lazily came here to look up Kevin's phone number to make another appointment because he is the only auto electrical guy on my list of recommended services. 1) Okay, first job with Kevin, on a 2006 Chrysler, was when he bypassed a fault in our PCM caused by UHaul installing a vehicle matched trailer wiring harness they sold me that overloaded our taillight circuit. UHaul wouldn't stand behind the damage their part had caused. I could have gotten nasty, but I placed the blame on the part maker instead of the local people involved. Kevin first diagnosed it as a PCM replacement with the part alone running near $1000. When I asked him for options he said he would be willing to rewire that circuit and put in an inline fuse block. That repair total was under $200 and has worked flawlessly for over 6-years now. Neatest wiring work I've ever seen, including factory wiring! 2) A few years later, another one of our cars, a 2003 Dodge, produced some trouble codes that suggested the transmission control module needed to be replaced, and what I had found indicated that this might just be the start of the troubles. I took the car to Kevin and shared what I had learned from my scanner and followup research. When Kevin came back with the solution it turned out to be the car's battery needed replacing. I had Kevin order a battery and the car has been problem free for 4-years now. 3) A couple years after that, the 2006 Chrysler, blew hot air when we tried using the AC during a road trip. I picked up a test gauge at a BigBox store and concluded that the freon was low. I took it to a nearby auto AC shop where they tried adding freon then basically condemned the whole system. We were 500-miles from home, and the pitch to do the job seemed tempting except that we were not yet at our destination and we were going to a scheduled event. We considered renting a car and leaving ours at that shop, but decided to put up with it until we got back home. When I took it to Kevin, he's first reaction was that he didn't do AC system rebuilds. I asked him to check it out anyway and oversee working with another shop in his building if deep surgery or a freon adjustment were needed. When Kevin came back with the answer it turn out to be a fan relay cutting off the AC system. Kevin changed the fan and had the other shop vacuum empty and recharged the freon. AC has been as good as new ever since, going on 2-years. Background disclosure: I had worked in the new car dealer industry for about 10-years back in the late 70's and 80's. My experience concluded as General Manager of a large Mercedes Benz dealership. In the 70's I had personally owned as many as 15 cars at one time. In all my experience I have never known any auto electrical technician that could come anywhere near Kevin's expertise and honesty ethic, not one. Conclusion: Auto electrical systems is an area of car repair that can be challenging under the very best of situations. I trust Kevin, and I think you should too.

I asked why i would pay for a guess w no guarantee behind it, owner got very rude and said "just come get your fuc*in truck buddy, you dont owe me a thing". I agreed that he had priced his services at what they were worth and picked it up with a $0.00 bill against it. Waisted 3 weeks (one i knew would be in advance) and 2 unnecessary tow bills. Luckily we found Garland Tire's number and called them......it was getting close to closing time, but the lady who answered immediately offered to have one of their guys drive out there and remove the tire, bring it back to the shop, swap it out, and drive back out there to put the new one on for us. Incredibly fast, professional, went above and beyond and now our son is safely back on the road home. If we lived in that area we would be a customer for life. My son called before taking his vehicle to this shop. Explained what happened and that it was not running. Steve that owns the shop assured him they could work on it, and we had it towed down there. It was there almost 2 months!!! And we finally had it removed and taken to a dealership. From the beginning we had to call and be told that he was busy. They was working on it, and Steve would call back. Which he done twice in 2 months after multiple requests. We were told it was the aftermarket security system. Approved removing it. That didn't fix it. Then was told it was the ECM which it took almost a month for him to determine and locate. This part came in and then was told it was the ignition relay. But he hasn't even put in the ECM to make that determination. He also priced the part at over $250 above his cost and not the standard 25% markup. The delays he blamed on the aftermarket ECM company, but I called and asked and he had been lying about everything from purchase date to their process. We received multiple stories over multiple weeks. And each time it was a new lie. Luckily I had documented each conversation and price quotes or lie told. Because when my son went to have it towed to another shop. Steve tried to charge him for a battery. I advised he didn't approve that. When we got there the battery that was in it and was showing charged at 100% when it was towed there had been removed, and was a completely different DEAD Battery. They also removed a headlamp relay from the vehicle which was a $144 part through the dealer. I have called to talk about refunding my son for relay and battery, and NO SURPRISE, he will NOT speak or call back. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!
