One of the best cars I ever bought! Still running to this day with its new owners. Highly recommended car lot for used cars!

I was currently in Southwest Virginia. Called many tire businesses with no luck. Called this dealership which was over a hour away from where I was and they had a tire. I was greeted by a very professional team. A lady from service kept checking on me and kept me updated until my vehicle was repaired. This dealership and their employees were fantastic to me. I have never been treated like this before at a car dealership. Fantastic team and thank you so much.

If you're a woman bringing your car in here by yourself, bring someone with you, because we watched how this service department treats female customers firsthand. She reported a paint defect at delivery -- ignored. She reported a clicking in the wheels for over a year -- ignored, until a mechanic happened to overhear it and identified it as a drivetrain warranty issue. During service they broke the engine cover -- replaced only after I got involved. They busted the wheel well clips and skid plate during AWD axle work and just moved on. The pattern was always the same: they damage something on your car, don't tell you, do a half-baked repair, and move on. The Crown comes with no spare tire and no jack -- just a fix-a-flat kit -- and the dealership never mentioned it. On a $52,000 car. When I asked about buying a matching rim, the staff member didn't even look up and just said "you can't afford it." No price, no option, no effort. She told the service advisor about a whistling noise and a lag. Instead of diagnosing it, they sold her a package of five oil changes and two filters. The next day the hybrid system lit up with warning lights and she was told to drive it back with all of them on. They opened the battery cooling area, pulled out a large pile of debris, left it on the floorboard, and installed a new filter -- without telling her. They didn't charge her for that filter, which tells you they knew they were correcting their own prior service failure. The battery damage: dealer estimate $15,704.46 total -- well above what independent shops charge. All traces back to a cooling filter they were paid to inspect and never touched. The Corolla Cross got the same treatment. Their "multi-point inspection" checked the outside brake pads but never the inner pad grinding the rotor -- so I paid out of pocket for a full front brake job. We brought it in with a flat tire: they measured tread depth, never put air in it, and sent us out. From day one there was a screw in the tread. The car went back more than once -- they even had all four wheels off to rotate the tires -- and never saw it. I spotted it myself, just walking up to the car. On later oil changes, they removed the engine cover and never put it back -- still missing today. This isn't one bad visit -- it's both of our cars, my sons, and the way this dealership talks to women when they think no one is listening. When we asked about goodwill on the $15,704.46 estimate, their idea of "goodwill" was to finance the parts if we paid the labor -- making us pay thousands to fix damage their own service department caused. When we pushed back, staff offered the manager. We said yes every time. No manager ever came out. They offered to buy her Crown back for around $10,000 -- on a car she owes $39,000 on -- and roll her into a Prius, leaving her tens of thousands upside down. To be fair: the sales side treated us well. Every problem here is the service department. This place has won awards for best dealership in the Tri-Cities. Their own sales staff told us other female customers had the same experience. A 2025 Trustpilot review describes a customer whose vehicle they kept for three months without performing the warranty repair -- and shorted them $2,050. On their own website, a woman who bought a used Sienna describes poor communication, promised repairs never completed, overspray on her seatbelt, and a two-month fight -- it took going back to sales manager Koree Deeb to get compensation. Three customers, same pattern. So I'll ask the question their own sales staff already answered for us: Has any other woman out there had the same experience at this dealership? Correction to my original review: After speaking with Johnson City Toyota's service department, I learned that the information I was given about the engine cover was wrong. My mechanic showed me the mounting clips in the engine bay and told me the 2024 Corolla Cross should have an engine cover to protect the hybrid components, so I included that claim in my review. Johnson City Toyota's service department has confirmed that the Corolla Cross does not come with an engine cover from the factory. That specific claim was my mistake, and I apologize for not verifying it myself before posting. I withdraw that claim about the missing engine cover on the Corolla Cross. Everything else in this review stands as written.

We I arrived at the dealership the salesman I had worked with was not there at the time and would not be there until noon. When I asked to see the car I was looking for one of the other salesmen went to get the keys to the car and then returned to tell me the car had been sold a week ago. I should have been alerted and it would of saved me from traveling all the way to Johnson City and wasting my time. I was ready to purchase the car I had cash in hand. When I was asked earlier by the salesman that I had been dealing with if I would be interested in any other car I say no. That should have been a red flag for me. Great selection of used (and new of course) cars, and they update their inventory quite often. Price wise, they are also very competitive. Their idea is to set the price of their cars as low as possible while handling the tricky part of earning a profit after all is said and done and all expenses paid. The "only" thing bad about them I can think of top of my head is they deal with an aftermarket warranty company called GWC Warranty and they are an awful company to deal with. Couple years ago one of the vehicles we bought there had a problem within 1-2 weeks. We dropped it off at a repair facility and we find out that he warranty won't cover because the car has not been properly maintained?? Approached Friendship Hyundai to see if there's anything they can do considering that any maintenance done to honor warranty service should be in the books by them and yet there was nothing I can do. Spent $3000 on the extended warranty and other problems have surfaced that I had to personally deal with were not covered because there is no proof of maintenance. Again, at this point our new to us car was only fresh off the dealership lot not even 2 weeks. Soooo!! If you buy a car here (which I still whole heartedly recommend), do not opt out in an extended warranty through GWC warranty. They are a shady company and I am shocked that this dealership does business with them.

I would not recommend this dealership 0 stars for them they will do or say anything for a saleread more

I have to admit I was a bit shocked to see the string of negative, one-star reviews for this…read moredealership! First, I am not an employee nor am I related in any way to anybody at this dealership. I am a legitimate repeat customer, though. Given my experiences at this dealership both with buying new vehicles, trading in a Subaru and dealing with the service department, I felt I needed to make a review! My first experience with Wallace Imports Subaru came in the Summer 2016 when I was looking for a car for my son. He wanted a very specifically equipped WRX that needed to be an automatic, too. I searched several local dealerships using the Subaru website to check inventory and came across Wallace. I reached out via the ePrice feature and eventually talked to a salesman named Beau Hicks. Beau gave me his cell number and email and kept in constant contact with me regarding a WRX that was en route to them. He gave us a price that no other dealership beat. That price didn't change when we visited the dealership to sign the paperwork and take delivery. We also had no high pressure tactics with the financing manager either. Everybody was extremely friendly and made us feel like our business was valued and appreciated. This was a completely hassle-free experience from start to finish and in the end Beau treated my family like we were friends of the family. A few months later, I was thinking about upgrading my Outback with a 2018 model, so I called Beau. He asked me what trim I wanted, color and equipment and said he'd order one for me to look at - no obligation to purchase. About a month later, the car came in and I went to check in out. I decided I'd be in the market to trade and Beau got me a great deal on my trade value, a great price on the Touring Outback and that was the second car I bought from this dealership and from Beau Hicks. Again, even though I had a different finance manager handle this from the WRX we bought earlier, I had no pressure to buy a maintenance plan. And once again, everybody I dealt with at the dealership was as friendly as could be. I felt like I was given fantastic customer service! Both times, Beau took me to meet the service manager and encouraged us to come in with any needs and assured us we would be taken care of, especially since we live 2 hours away. Just a few months ago, I experienced issues with my entertainment console in my Outback. I contacted Beau and he went straight to the service manager to ask about my issue. As it turned out, this was a known bug that Subaru addressed. They made a special appointment for me to come in on a Saturday to get the radio updated and Beau went out of his way to accommodate me. I had my car serviced while I was there, too and Beau was going to pay for that out of his pocket to make up for the inconvenience however that wasn't necessary as I'd already purchased the maintenance plan. But the gesture was gracious and appreciated. The service department got my radio updated and serviced the car and I was back on the road in a little over an hour. The entire time I was at the dealership, Beau had me sit at his desk and talked to me as a friend getting caught up. There was no car talk or sales talk. Bottom line, as long as I'm a Subie owner, and I expect that to be for decades to come, I'll go to Wallace Imports Subaru for any purchases and, more than that, I'll be seeing my brother Beau because I trust him, this dealership and their service department. They have been exceptional in all regards.

Once the vehicle was detailed she noticed a small scratch and let me know before I was enroute just to to ensure there was no surprises for me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a Mr. Chris Saletto.
