As parents we were panicking because we are still several hours away and couldn't help. Our first call was to our insurance company for roadside assistance and it was going to be several hours before they could get someone dispatched out there to help him and he was going to just be stranded on the highway waiting. Luckily we found Garland Tire's number and called them......it was getting close to closing time, but the lady who answered immediately offered to have one of their guys drive out there and remove the tire, bring it back to the shop, swap it out, and drive back out there to put the new one on for us. Incredibly fast, professional, went above and beyond and now our son is safely back on the road home. If we lived in that area we would be a customer for life. These yahoos charged him $427 for a "rush job" (twice what it normally costs even with labor) then made him come back THREE separate times in three days before they released his car. Some rush job! He asked if there was anything else the car needed because he was driving hundreds of miles and needed to start right away because he was now 3 days late to leave. "Nope you're good to go son" In Michigan he broke down and was towed, where they found the part had SNAPPED almost in HALF because not only did Garland Tire NOT replace it like they said but they ASSURED HIM IT WAS SAFE.
