I made another trip to Buc-cee's, but this time it was in Waller, TX and this trip has been my biggest Buc-cee's shopping spree everrrrr, haha!! Idk what the craze is about this place, but IYKYK. We are finally getting one out here in Arizona, and it will open in Goodyear on June 22. Be that as it may, I won't be going until probably fall, lol. I'll most likely be making another trip to TX before then anyway. This location is large and fully stocked. The same classic Buc-cee's you know is full of everything from housewares to clothing, car accessories to freshly made brisket sandwiches ans everything in-between! Service was great, and the cashier was friendly. I didn't get a sandwich this time around, but I did grab a few bags of beef jerky. They're my new favorite snackie! The 5 stars is for the super clean, large restrooms. I missed breakfast at the hotel. Since I had to pass Buc-ee's to get to my destination I decided to see what could satisfy me for brunch. I chose the Texas Cheesesteak Burrito. It was DELICIOUS!!! I also grabbed a case of water because hydration is key and a bag of glazed cashews because I wanted to. lol The employees are so friendly. The store has so many items to choose from and of course enough gas pumps for everyone. I must stop at Buc-ee's at least once when in town. read more

Anyone who reads my reviews knows I love Buc-ee's. What I don't love is being chased down by an employee as soon as we walked through the doors. This woman was coming at us with this laminated card, reading from it telling us our dog couldn't be there. By the way, a lot of the stuff she was spewing is pretty close to, if not totally, against protocol/law regulations. I stopped her mid-sentence, advised of his service credentials and kept walking. It was so weird like she had been waiting to "catch someone". I'm giving three stars because even though I feel two are deserving, it seems harsh. FRESH JERKY, CLEAN BATHROOMS, & NO CROWDS? YES, PLEASE! This review is long overdue, but here it goes; this Buc-ee's in Waller is absolutely top-tier! It's massive, just like the Baytown location, which used to be my favorite... but not anymore. Waller has officially taken the crown. There are plenty of gas pumps, tons of parking, and so many food options to choose from. The turkey jerky? It's the bees' knees, super fresh and ridiculously tasty every time. Best part? It's only ten minutes from my house; score! Yes, like all Buc-ee's locations, it can get a bit crowded, but nothing like Baytown. That one gets so packed it feels suffocating. I much prefer the more relaxed vibe here. The entire store, including the restrooms, is spotless and incredibly well-organized. Customer service is friendly, and the atmosphere feels lively without being chaotic. This is officially my go-to Buc-ee's now, and I highly recommend it to any fellow Buc-ee's fans. There are times that my husband and I avoid these big Buc-ee's because it's just too big and too crowded but our gas light literally went on right as we were turning into this place so we had to. There are so many pumps here, we went to the smaller "bank" of pumps on the side of the building. Oddly, the gas hose didn't reach the opposite side of our vehicle. (Lately many gas stations have hoses that can reach both sides.) So I had to drive around to another pump on my other side. We then ran inside to get a few snacks. Yes, it was super packed inside. Yes, my anxiety was climbing from the moment we stepped in there. But yes, we got our favorite snacks: icees, kettle corn and I finally tried one of their huge cinnamon rolls. I wanted to love the cinnamon rolls but it was just ok. I LOVE Cinnabon but these ones are served cold and seemed to lack a burst of cinnamon flavor. It was like bread covered in frosting. Lastly, I didn't care for the tanginess of the frosting. I know some love cream cheese icing but I ended up scraping most of it off. At least I tried it. Prices are pretty good though. Small icees are .99, large at $1.29, the cinnamon roll was $3.50 and I forget how much the popcorn was. My husband has tried the bbq in the past, loved the pulled pork. We love the never chips (fresh potato chips). Restrooms are usually numerous and clean. We didn't need to go this stop. All in all, a great stop if you don't mind crowds. A Texas must is to stop at. My MIL lives less than 10 minutes from this location so it has quickly become my favorite Buc-ee's. I absolutely love a buc-ee's trip! The snacks, the treats, the meals, the ambiance! I recently tried their breakfast which was delicious! I was a little turned off my the VERY soft scrambled eggs at first but when you eat the sandwiches and burritos/tacos all together you can hardly tell how soft scrambled they are. I don't think my complaints are specific to this bucees, but I think they apply to all bucees, this one included. They're just overhyped. The food is not that good. Maybe don't try to do bbq at a gas station? If you have cookies sold at a counter and on the shelf, why aren't the ones at the counter warm? What's the point of having both areas? Just making the store larger and more overwhelming? If you sell all this food, why don't you have seating!?!? Or at least an area outside that is decent for a picnic. Maybe that wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't have a baby, but it did bother me. The bathrooms were fine, but the changing area for babies was not. Having an automatic dispensing paper towel dispenser right over the changing table is a dumb idea. The trash cans are SO far away from the tables. This place is fine. It's 3 stars. Visited another Buc-ee's, this time in Waller Texas. It's off of 290 (between Houston and Austin), and had the variety and size that we expect from them. The center barbeque station was especially well manned, with individually wrapped bbq sandwiches being constantly produced. Alas, we were BBQed out on this road trip, but did manage to pick up freshly roasted almonds, some beef jerky, and some buc-ee nuggets puffed corn nuggets. Even picked up a t-shirt for my daughter. Prices are about convenience more than value, but with the multiple check-out lines and variety, Buc-ee's is a good place to stop for a break on a long road trip. read more

My go-to Bucee's when I'm at home. I love Bucee's with my whole heart lmaoooooo that really should say with my whole stomach! From jerky which is hella expensive $30/lb to the bakery items, breakfast options...tacos, cinnamon rolls with pecans are amongst my faves. My favorite favorite is the chopped beef sammich though! Last time it wasn't as good, chopped too big and not saucy enough but I forgive them. The icees are varied and cheap, think the large is $1.29. The fountain drinks are the same. The refrigerated foods are fresh and plentiful including pudding desserts. There's seasonings and sauces galore but a bit on the pricey side, most of the shelved items can be steep too. Buc-ee's is the Costco of truck stops, the truck stops on steroids, the Truck stop supreme. I don't get to often a chance to check them out, but I was lucky to find this one, when I went on a business trip to Houston. It was A M A Z I N G!!! I mean the store was the size of a supermarket and even bigger. The pre made food was awesome, except for the chicken tenders which was deceiving, but I should have read the fine print. I only wish I tried some of the outstanding jerky and fudge, but for sure next time, as I have another road trip planned where wife and I will stop in at Buc-ee's and get all the goodness, and hopefully upgrade them to a full 5 Stars. read more

So what is a Buc-ee's? it's a Bed-Bath and Beyond, a barbecue joint, a Walmart and a convenience store on steroids rolled into one. Apart from their very clean and spacious restrooms, they've cornered the market on jerky. Their coffee and drink stations are better than Quiktrip. Lots of cold drinks, beer, and wine. Their wine prices are actually very reasonable and you save 10% when you buy four or more. Personally, I think they charge a little too much for their brisket sandwiches and tacos, but they are good. If you've never been to a Buc-cee's, you're missing out, plenty of photos included to get you through the door. read more

Crazy busy on a weekday morning with everything going on. Fresh brisket coming out, nuts being candied, and even Buc-ee standing around waiting to take his picture with you! Although I'm closest to the Cypress location, if I were pop an out of towners Bucees cherry, I would choose to take them to this location. In addition to the clean bathrooms we all know and love, this location is huge & full of energy! You'll find your traditional rest stop finds, but also a diverse offering of fresh food favorites like bakery treats, fresh roasted nuts, brisket and more! They often have someone serving samples Costco style and their retail and southern home decor section is an additional treat almost as sweet as their bottled jams. If you desire to outfit your entire home with the Bucees beaver, they've got you covered! Overall, time passes quickly in this Texas staple! Home away from home. Ever since moving to Waller, being 7 minutes from Buc-ees has been a fun escape from life, for me. From the cute clothing, Christian things, kitchen gadgets galore, Knick knacks, etc. it's super fun to just hang out and look around at everything they have! As for the food, I a super health conscious person and only eat clean (ingredients that I can easily identify) so I don't eat the food from here as it's not very friendly to that sort of diet- but it's a gas station.. why would it lol they do have fruit, Kumbucha, and some clean snacks though! Purchased a jump suit. Once we got it home noticed the pant legs had 3 tears (like the material was thin and tore). Tags had not been removed. Took it to the Waller location and was told it could not be returned or exchanged because they did not know if I made tears or if I purchased that way. Why would I put tears in the legs. No where on the receipt does it say no returns or exchanges. Told the manager in training to toss in the trash and he said he could do it and put his hands in the air. i love love loveeee going to Bucees! it's literally a Texan staple whether you are a Houston native or just visiting a new city here in the lone star state, STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING & GET TO A BUCEES! i have been to a few now out of state and in my home state of TX. not only do I do some window shopping, but i do love to grab a bite while i shop! so convenient, less time consuming and a bit inexpensive! i am in LOVE with Bucees hot foods like brisket sandwiches or a veggie burrito but when i go, i definitely opt for the finger foods like chicken tenders. these are so crunchy and easy to pull apart, but the only thing was it was NOT as hot as I thought it would be, considering i did pull this box from the furthest away from the front and closest to the warmer. my friend who went with me got the chicken fajita burrito and let me tell you, that should've been my first choice! as I did some light shopping, I took a few flicks of some items i plan to make note of coming back to get especially the pig jar set and the Texas state cutting board. i did also made a mental memory of their jerky station, bucee's signature sweaters and seafood boil accessories! i have been to smaller versions of bucee's, especially the one in cypress, but they're strictly snack, lunch & gas type of store. more kitchen items and accessories are more than likely at the bigger bucee's. I was staying nearby for conference and everyone kept talking Buc-ee's so I had to go check out the place for myself. I'm so glad I did because this place is AMAZING! I've never seen anything quite like it. It's like a gas station had a baby with Marshall's, a liquor store, and a Wawa/Royal Farms They sell household items, women's/men's/baby clothing, food, and liquor. The star of the show was the brisket that they make in store fresh! They have variety of hot food you can take to grab and go! The staff greet you as soon as you walk in the door and are very friendly! I enjoyed the place so much we went back again before heading back home. I finally found the adult women's Buccee's bathing suit in an XS here. We got matching suits for the family and I'm so happy we came to this location because it was a good experience. I was in the neighborhood and I had to get some food before I pass out. I walked in to smell... Mmm... buttery aroma. Then, it changed to BBQ smell. Ok. I got hungrier. I grabbed first thing stared at me which was 3meat burger. Man, I watch the employees making this 15-oz burger in real life. It was fun to watch and pleasant to eat. The sausage was smoky but kind of chewy compared to pulled pork below. Then the turkey was only few pieces on the bottom. I couldn't eat the whole thing in one setting. The drink station got few out-of-order signs but it seemed the flavors are all there. I filled with sarsaparilla flavored soda. The sweetness and carbonation were perfect to me. Stopped here about an hour and a half into my road trip with my three year old because I needed a break after fighting through Houston traffic. To be fair we came here on a Tuesday morning on our way to Austin so there was nobody in there so to speak. The bathrooms were clean per usual as it has always been at Buc-ee's. The store was well stocked and people were hard at work. Nobody even batted an eye as my child grabbed some batteries from the rack by the register then threw them out the automatic sliding doors. Every day is an adventure with a toddler I tell ya. We were able to get snacks and check out quickly. They also have a great selection of both media promoted and regular toys and he picked out a puzzle from that section. If you're driving through Texas Buc-ee's is considered a must to stop. Similar to the I-95 on the East Coast where everyone makes a quick stop at "South of the Border" (which is a waste), Buc-ee's won't disappoint. Definitely one of the coolest truckstops with just about any and everything you can imagine. One of my favorite items to pick up from is the beef jerky. They have plenty of flavors that are pre-bagged, but you also have tons that you can get immediately sample that are made for fresh eating. My favorite is the bohemian garlic. In addition, clothing and holiday items have become staples for a lot of households, in particular, pajama pants or even T-shirts & hoodies. Whenever I come back from here I always get catch heat from my family... "Why didn't you bring me something back". This latest trip had me splurge on a little over 15 items ranging from the brisket sandwich, kolache's from the bakery along with some Red Velvet & Double Chocolate cake balls. Both the chocolate & oatmeal cookies were a hit. Must haves... the Beaver Nuggets. Hard to explain as it's like a Chetto, Nugget, that is sweet. Also picked up select Buc-ee spices. This is a pretty big Buc-ee's and they have a huge selection of everything! I found some fun cookbooks and kitchen utensils that would make great gifts. They also get the holiday stuff in pretty quickly so there's always a cute shirt to grab! It was not very crowded on a Monday afternoon and the line went super fast. Love the large parking lot and they have several drink machines so you don't have to wait behind someone. Very easy to get off 290 and get back on quickly. read more
