It is one of the smallest Buc-ee's, but large enough to have all the snacks available for your trip. Needless to say, the whole establishment is spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly. (BTW - it was the only Buc-ee's we used for years!)

First, the store is massive and absolutely packed with merchandise. Buc-ee's shirts, hats, mugs, souvenirs, home goods, snacks, candy, sauces, you can wander around for quite a while and still feel like you missed something. The merchandising is almost as entertaining as the stop itself. Then there's the food. The hot sandwich area was working overtime, with brisket sandwiches, pulled pork, sausage, breakfast options and plenty of grab-and-go choices. Everything moves quickly, the food is hot, and there are enough options that everyone can find something they want. Add in the jerky counter, bakery items, fudge, roasted nuts, fountain drinks and snacks, and you've basically got road-trip heaven. The place was busy, but it's organized, clean and surprisingly efficient considering the number of people coming through. Buc-ee's somehow turns a gas stop into part convenience store, part restaurant, part gift shop and part tourist attraction.

It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.

And finding a new place to get vehicle services as a woman is worse. If you know, you know. I chose Hare Repair based on their great reviews. I called to make an appointment and they are busy. You can't just pop in without notice and have your vehicle serviced. That is another good sign. First of all, Rhonda is the main point of contact before service (quotes, scheduling, etc.). She is a dream. She is responsive, nice, funny, understanding and knowledgeable. When I arrived the morning of my appointment, Rhonda was not in yet. No problem. Other people were there. I was greeted by my name, having never been there before. (I wish I had gotten his name. Also very nice and personable.). The gentleman who greeted me asked what I needed. I explained that I needed brakes work but I wasn't sure if I needed front, back or both. I added that I am getting ready to make a road trip through several different states and I want to make sure that my car is ship-shape. It ended up being a good thing that I mentioned that. Back to that later. I dropped off my car when they opened, 7am. I received a call from Hare Repair at 7:50am that informed me that I need front brakes and he gave me a price LESS than what I was originally quoted. Not a lot less, but less. How often does that happen? Great! I received a call around 10:15am informing me that my car was ready and they replaced a couple of external bulbs that were out. This is where it goes back to me mentioning the road trip. When I picked up my car Rhonda said, "You don't want any lights out on a road trip." No, they did not call me to ask if they could replace the bulbs at a cost. But, I appreciate that they were thinking of ME while out on my road trip. Yes, that is a little more money that they made but I feel that isnworthbit for safety and peace of mind. Honestly, I know vehicle maintenance basics, but they could have told me that I needed both front and rear brakes and I would not have known differently. I was a little torn between 4 or 5 stars. The ONLY reason I considered 4 stars is their business hours. I repeatedly missed opportunities to schedule my service because they close at 2pm/3pm. However, I am so very happy with the people and the service that I must give them 5 stars. I will definitely be a long term patron.

The muffuletta was made to order and took less than 5 minutes. It was served warm and was SO GOOD! Layers of meaty, salty goodness accented by the brininess of the pickles and olives. I easily finished half the sandwich for lunch and will likely have the other half for dinner haha. Their whole muffuletta is the priciest sandwich on the menu, but could probably reasonably feed 2. Angelo'z also offers rotating daily sandwich combos-- order the sandwich of the day and get chips and a drink for $10. Chip selection includes Lay's, Zapp's, and Kettle. If you're in a rush, many of their popular sandwiches it seems, are available to be grabbed from the case. Also in the case are a variety of sides, like deviled eggs or pasta salad... cookies and cake for dessert, too! COVID safety: all employees wearing masks and hand sanitizer available. Some seating inside available. Next time I'm craving a sub sandwich, I'll be sure to be back!

The inside definitely has a Cajun feel to it with the decor; very Louisiana. I was greeted and made the 4th quarter decision to get a muffuleta, chips and a canned pop. My order came quickly and I was on my way. The sandwich itself was BIG. Loved the olive salad. The cuts of meat were quality. Prices are reasonable Loved it. Worth the visit if you can.
