I stopped at 12:05 today at the Buccee's in Melissa, Texas to return a small kitchen item. A woman named Megan who said she was the assistant general manager pointed to a small framed piece of paper that stated the no returns policy. She went on to say that there is one of these pieces of paper at each bank of cashiers. Later in another Buccee's I was able to verify that there are indeed four sheets of paper in a typical 100,000 ft.² plus Buccee's. And, on each in small type unreadable from the cashier, it does indeed say no returns. I learned from Monica not only are there no returns, but any exchanges have to be from the particular area that the item was found in. For example, the man next to me who was returning sunglasses had to get another pair of sunglasses, or nothing, no other choices. Given the mark up on Buccee's items one would expect the same courtesy that Walmart extends for its small silicone kitchen items. The moral of the story, is only purchase items from Buccee's that go in your car or truck fuel tank or in your mouth. read more

Well here we are getting it buc-ees. There's not much to add about this one. That isn't the same at all the other buc-ees. I haven't talked about the parking situation here before though. There's enough parking here to pretty much host. Everybody that wants to go into six flags or disneyland or any kind of theme park. The parking lot is massive and there's pretty much no chance that you'll not be able to find a spot. Most of the time, it's pretty convenient to get to Buc-ees from the highway. And you'll know you're almost there, because there are billboards that tell you not only what's available inside, but how far to the next one. I mean, they have everything here. From fire pits to firewood, and smoker pits, if that's your thing, to fudge and giant cinnamon rolls. It's kind of like if a walmart and a love's truck station got together and had a baby. read more

Love the gas station size and ease of access. The store has everything for the traveler including food, clothes and some great jerky.

The clean bathrooms & cheap gas are the draw for me. This location seemed extremely busy compared to other locations. The day I was Buckee was out and taking photos with guest. Got a chopped pork sandwich it was good. It would be better if had pickles. No checkout line even with all the people. Simple on and off from highway. read more

This joint hit. Where else are you going to find a gas station with cooking/homeware, outdoor coolers, equipment, a unique selection of snacks/drinks, and so much more? Whether it's to stop for a roadtrip or just to fill up the tank (your car or stomach), Buc-ee's is worth checking out. We had the the Tex Mex Cheesesteak burrito for lunch and it was divine. The meat was extremely tender and the mayonnaise was the perfect binder to bring all the flavors of the jalapenos, cheese, and steak together. We also ordered a half pound of their steakhouse beef jerky and the employee helping us gave us some free samples to try. The meat was smoked to perfection with plenty of bite, and full of meaty flavor. For drinks, had the Dr. Pepper Icee which is apparently rare to get in the area. You'll also find smoked brisket sandwiches, breakfast burritos, pastries, coffee, and other road snacks for sale. Everyone working and shopping here were genuinely happy and there's even Buc-ee's merch for sale. We picked up a few long-sleeves and puppy hoodies as well and had a great experience. Great Buc-ee's! If you've never been to a Buc-ee's before, it's an experience unlike any other. Yes, it's a gas station, but it's also so much more. This place is HUGE! They sell everything from BBQ to fine art to deer corn to clothing to their famous "beaver nuggets" and so much more. They have giant (and clean) restrooms. Tons of hot food options, plus a whole counter for beef jerky. It's a great place to stop if you're passing through, or a worthwhile visit for locals. read more

Buc-ee's is hard to explain. It is so much more than a truck stop or a travel center. It's closer to a religious experience just of the expressway. Seriously. They have a following. At first, Buc-ee's give off a Walmart vibe. I hate Walmart. I love Buc-ee's. I guess it is the size. It's huge. Whatever you need for your trip, you can find it there. Then it gets strange, in a good way. They have plenty of Texas products, Buc-ee's merchandise and snacks. The Buc-ee brand snacks are excellent. If you tell someone you are going to Buc-ee's for the first time, they will tell you to use the bathroom. Weird request, but I see what they mean. They are big and immaculate. I wouldn't eat off the floor, but if I had to eat off the floor of a public restroom, I'd pick a Buc-ee's. They have a section for cooked food. The brisket is very good. They have a section for fudge. And beef jerky. And sandwiches. They have a section closer to a small grocery store then a convenience store. Oh, and the gas pumps. -- hundreds of them. Really. I used to be able to go into any Buc'ees and place an order for their chicken fajita burrito WITHOUT pimento cheese. Just because we are in Texas doesn't mean everyone likes pimento cheese! I fell in love with that burrito with sour cream and green salsa in the side only to be told that they can't do "special orders" anymore I was told by an employee that I should go on the website and put in a complaint. Why do you have a pick up sign with a pick up window near the hot foods if you can't order something? Maybe people have allergies maybe people don't like certain things this makes me really sad because it was really good and I'd probably go there every week but now I don't go there at all anymore because of that. SoCal resident here! After being disappointed with Whataburger and In-n-out, I thought all was loss, until I went to this beauty of a gasoline station. You heard right, a gasoline station that is basically a T.J Max and a Grocery store combined with a Mascot with branding all over its packages. The food is fantastic as they barbecue and cut the meat right in front of you! I tried the XXL brisket sandwich and my god, I wished I grabbed 2. Texas, if there is one thing y'all did right, it's gasoline stations, and barbecue. But man y'all got some big spiders and the hottest, humid weather! read more

This was my first Buc-ee's experience and it was interesting! Super huge gas station and I think there was a car wash too. Huge shopping inside. Got some delicious fudge along with my sandwich for lunch. Tried the highways everyone raves about, but they weren't my favorite. More than one occasion I've coasted into a Buc-ee's on fumes. one time and only in Texas 2 dude saw us coasting in (out of gas) and me out pushing they came and helped me push into the parking lot. Yup I just had to make it to Buc-ee's. There is really nothing like it. If you travel you can really appreciate them and if you don't you may not appreciate the more than 150 gas pumps or the 14 stalls and 15 toilets in the mens restroom. But it's not just the quantity of pumps or stalls, it's the fact that the restrooms are super clean, completely stocked with hand sanitizer, soap and the towels etc that you need. But the gas/diesel is usually the cheapest around and usually by a significant amount. So if you only think this place is cool and worth stopping just for the clean restrooms or the cheapest fuel around that would be completely enough to drive out of your way, but now note that and and every kind of drink, snack novelty you can think of and more. Walls full of gummy bears, jerky, candy. A real deal coffee selection with every kind of brew with any flavor of creamer and syrup you would want. Iced, frozen and hot. Fire pits, bbq grills accessories. Jams, jellies, fudge, fresh BBQ, cheeses you name it they have it. So if you only want clean restrooms it's worth your time. I recently found out , that grapes are a necessity on new year's eve for good luck/love. after opening my tub of grapes , i fear my luck and love life will be nothing but failure, as my grapes are soft , mushy, squishy , gross and tart. there was also hair under the label. read more

Being from California, I've never heard of Buc-ee's. However my friend always makes this a required pit stop when traveling from Dallas TX to Norman OK. We stopped in there and they had just about everything you can think of from snacks & drinks to apparel, to nick nacks and all for great prices. I wound up getting some peppered beef jerky, a pineapple soda an a Buc-ee's souvenir hat & T-shirt. Also used the restroom while there and that has to be the cleanest restroom I've ever seen during a pit stop. I will for sure be back on future trips when passing by. read more

Stopped at Buc-ees in Melissa for some snacks and souvenirs. It didn't disappoint. Buc-ees has all sorts of branded packaged hot foods for quick eating on the road and snacks to fill your boredom. I picked up a bag of Beaver Nuggets which are super sugary puffs, prickly pear cactus jam to go with my breakfast toast, and a Buc-ees allover print swimsuit! Shout out to their cleaning crew too! This is the probably one of the busiest Buc-ee's locations I've ever been to. Who knew there was even one of these in MELISSA?! Not me until I was headed to a state park up north and saw it off the dang exit. So I stopped in on my way back home to see what it was all about. Please be careful driving thru here, people are zipping in and out, on TikTok, on Snap, posting on the gram. Distracted by what everyone else is doing on their phones. Not paying attention to you. It's a little hazardous, I suggest coming early during the week or during a non high traffic time. Of course all the bells and whistles are here like other locations. Awesome Texas themed/southern gifts for friends and the BBQ/treats/every soft drink you can think of. I love browsing through the candles, and home goods with fun sayings on them. I'm a consistent Bucee's customer. In the past 2-3 visits, I've found an issue: Complete lack of customer service. Most recently at the Beef Jerky counter, two employees were serving two customers; I was next. When an employee finished with a customer, he began working on the counter---ignoring me. The other employee took his sweet time with the other customer, chatting and socializing for five minutes. Finally, I walked away. At the bakery, an employee looked up from her position resting her elbows on the counter. "Need anything?" she asked. I almost felt guilty to ask her out of her resting place to sell some goods. Even the checkout personnel seemed to be inconvenienced for doing their jobs. read more

I was on my way back to Fort Worth after coming out here for a wedding and most Bucees are located south of the state but a few are here in North Texas and this is one of them. This would be a good time as ever to visit this magnificent store. Now if you never been to a Bucees you are missing out, think of it as the mega-super-store-one-stop-shop-all of gas stations. They have everything you could think of and so much more. They have everything from food, snacks, souvenirs to grills and deer feed. I was only 15 minutes away from this location so I decided to stop by and get my lucky penny. You know those machines you put 2 quarters and a penny and it stamps the penny with a design, yeap thats the one. Well every Bucees store has one of these machines and each design is the same in all stores except for the name of the city that store is located in. Example, the Bucees in fort worth will have a penny machine that stamps the penny's with fort worth, Texas. If you go to the bucees down in Madison the penny machine will stamp the penny with Madison, Texas on it. This is honestly my favorite type of souvenir because they are in-expensive and its a lot smaller compare to other things like shot glasses and tshirts. With that said, my family knows I collect those penny so it was a mandatory stop here to add that penny to my collection. As with all the other locations this one was super busy, the gas pumps were all being used up and of course the bathrooms were clean. I did not try any of the food here but I did buy a shirt because I like the shirts. The layout of the store is the same as the others and I just love their home goods section and the t-shirts. It's so hard for me not to buy something there because I love everything in there. The customer service here is great, I think in all of the times I have visited a Bucees I never had a bad experience. If you are in the area stop by, you wont regret it. read more
