This was our first visit to this Buc-ee's location and it was a little disappointing because we barely missed out on their hot food selections. You can still order bbq sandwiches after 8pm, but it will take time to prepare and not as convenient. The drink stations and snack selections are on par with other Buc-ee's. This location was small and did not offer any clothing or merchandise options. Buc-ee's came out with a new policy that they will not let you make small purchases of gas inside at the register. You can only pay at pump. But yet the pump pulls a large amount out to verify payment so you're card gets denied it you don't have the amount they want. So basically they do not allow poor people to purchase gas anymore. I literally only had $5 in my account for gas and I was on zero miles. They literally turned me away. Don't you dare be poor and go to Buc-ees! Absolutely disgusting policy and goes to show you how out of touch they are with the real world. read more

A baby Buc-ee's how cute! Breakfast tacos, burritos, and of course brisket sandwiches are ready-made to grab and go. Even better no crowds spotless interior with clean restrooms. Food selection still has most of the favorites they just left the clothing for the bigger stores which is fine by me. Like I need more Beaver gear! I guess now that Bucky's has gained popularity and has a huge customer base. They have really started going up on prices. Yes they still have cheap eyes and yes, they still have cheap gas but if you go in to get a burrito or a taco, the prices have really gone up and I just walked in there with my own cup and just put ice in it no drink nothing my own cup and just ice and I was charged almost a dollar. Now I know that's not much money but most places won't even charge you for ice if you bring in your own cup or will only charge you 25 or $.50 but almost a dollar? That's ridiculous. read more

Not at all busy at 9:30 am on a weekday, I was able to walk around easily without crowds. Jerky, candy, drinks, coolers, FUDGE, candy and fresh brisket. My first day in Texas, I had the pleasure to go to one of the bigger Buc-ee's which was great but this day was my last and just wanted some beef jerky to take home so we stopped by this smaller location. This location is a more compact version that also served as a gas station, had some hot food selections, some drinks, beef jerky, and merchandise. If you want to avoid the crowds but still want the Buc-ee's experience then this place is for you. No complaints at all with this location. Everyone was super cool. read more

I don't have a Buc-ee's near me in Chicago (yet, anyway), so, when I was visiting my son in Houston, I was determined to go to one to see what all the hype was about. We were staying in Pearland, but from what I understood the two there were smaller ones, and we should go to one of the larger ones to get the full experience. I checked the Buc-ee's website, and of the larger ones, the one that would be the quickest and easiest to visit was the one in Katy, Texas. It's really considered a midsize, but from what I read it had all the things I've heard about, so it would definitely do! After driving about 30 minutes to get there, and admiring the three large banks of gas pumps, as I drove in, I pulled into a spot just outside the door. I husband was laughing at me, but I was like a little kid in a candy store looking at the Buc-ee's sign on the front of the building. Of course we had to try the restrooms first, and they were immaculate, and even smelled really nice - not antiseptic, not overly sweet, just a pleasant floral smell. After that we looked around at some of the merchandise, and by then my husband was just about done. He gave me orders to bring him some jerky, beaver nuggets, and a brisket sandwich (his pics after studying the website earlier that day), and he headed back to the car. Our only disappointment was that there wasn't an eating area, because we had hoped to buy sandwiches and sit inside and have lunch before we returned to the car. I wandered around for probably about another 15 minutes, during which I grabbed some candy, some cookies, several packages of jerky, the beaver nuggets, a couple brisket sandwiches and some beaver chips, and a couple drinks. Oh, and of course I had to get my own Buc-ee to bring home! Once in the checkout line, I was pleasantly surprised that I only had to wait two or three minutes before getting up to the cash register, even though there were several in line ahead of me. It was all very efficient, and the staff were all very friendly. The Brisket sandwiches were fantastic, better even than I expected, melt in your mouth good. I'd gotten my husband, the XL size of chopped brisket, and he loved it. I got myself the sliced brisket, and was really pleased I chose in that option. Yum! After that, we filled up the car with gas (my husband seemed disappointed that nothing special happened at the gas pump), and headed back to our son's house, very happily satisfied with Buc ee's, and looking forward to our next visit. Stop here every time we take a cruise. We stop by on the way to the cruise ship and on the way back. Excellent food, love their breakfast choices and their BBQ sandwiches. Always buy much more than food. T-shirts, toys, coloring books, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, and cookie dough are just some of the many things you can get here, and they are all great. I am from out of state and made this mistake- this location is really just the size of a typical gas station and has snacks, but it doesn't have all of the fun shopping and treats like other large Buc-ee's. I got to visit my favorite local Buc-ee's after moving from League City a couple of years ago. This was my place to stop and grab coffee or drinks and snacks on my way to work early in the mornings and sometimes on my way home off of the night shift. I got to know the night crew very well and could always depend on my favorite cooks to fix me up with a breakfast burrito at 4 in the morning. I loved the people that worked here in the early morning hours. They were always busy, but had time for a quick chat and then we were all off to do our jobs. Who does not love Buc-ee's! Buc-ee's use to be only in Texas but now they are building outside the Lone Star state. This location is about 15 minutes from Galveston,TX. We always stop here first and pick up snacks and use the clean restrooms before reaching the island. Buc-ee's is so much more that a "gas station", it's an experience. They sell just about everything. Clothes, shoes, hats, jewelry, dog stuff, phone chargers, tchotchkes, all the kitchen stuff you can think of and of course food. They make homemade brisket, sausage, beef jerky (in a lot of different flavors) cookies, cakes, kolaches and the biggest cinnamon rolls with a ton of icing. Oh, don't forget they make homemade fudge too. (In a lot of flavors) The orange dreamsicle fudge is so good. They are always giving out samples of the beef jerky and homemade fudge. You could spend an hour and here and still not see everything. The bathrooms are extra clean. That is always appreciated. Note: They are right off I-45 and TXDOT have closed the exit to get to it. So get over one exit early to get to Buc-ee's. They have also removed the bridge to crossover to get to it from the other side. You will have to exit and make a u-turn. Everything is bigger in Texas. Buc-ee's has become a destination as a gigantic convience store. Over 80 to over 100 gas pumps. No 18 wheelers allowed, so no bad cases hanging around. Staff us friendle and well trained. All kinds of food made fresh, baked goods, candies. Immaculately clean store including rest rooms. We love their chocolate covered cashews. Om the way home we decided to stop at Buc-ees in League City, Texas. This is my first time going to a Buc-ees. This one is small but really nice. As they stay on the billboards the bathrooms are immaculate. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. The staff was friendly and they're were hand sanitizing stations everywhere. There's a huge variety of delicious snacks to choose from. They've got hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. We got the chopped barbecue beef sandwiches and they were delicious. I bought some Pecan Cinnamon Roll Crunch Popcorn and it is OMG good. I love popcorn. I also hot a small Cinnabon coffee also very good. My experience today was awesome. My friend's battery died in their parking lot after he went in an purchased gas and other items. So instead of just asking him what was wrong, these people decide to call the police. My girlfriend and I went to Buc-ee's after a trip to Galveston to stock up on snacks and whatnot. Upon walking in everyone was very friendly and welcoming, especially considering it was 5 in the morning and no one wants to be awake that early or late! We did some shopping and were asking plenty of times if we needed help finding anything particular, etc. I am very upset however, that while walking through the store and shopping, an employee came up to us and asked me to place my purse in my car for safety reasons, that she was trying to "save us the hassle from her manager telling us something," which made me very uncomfortable. What establishment requires woman to not have their purses across their shoulders? While other woman were in there with backpacks. I'm disappointed as I spent $168 at, when it all comes down to it, just another gas station. I find it very unprofessional asking a woman to leave her purse IN THE CAR, IN A PARKING LOT, at 5am in the morning! Not to mention how degrading it is for someone to act like you are going to steal. She said she was going to get a manager because I refused to walk back to my car after being in there an hour already, to put my purse, which I should mention has the money I am using to pay for these items, back in my car. Thankfully, for all of our sakes, a manager did NOT ask me to put my bag up, instead, they never said anything to me, but I was able to continue shopping without any more unnecessary incidents. Now while most people trek clear across the state we actually moved to our house just so we would be close to the alter err Buc-ee's store in League city. Now this is no mega Buc-ee's but it a very large and clean store with multiple check outs and clean rest rooms. It has most everything you could want from Buc-ee's. Plenty of gas pumps, cheap ice, Beaver Nuggets, smoked meat products, made to order sandwiches, great ice tea a ton of drinks, T shirts, bumper stickers, and more. Everything is clean, amazing, and all of the employees are happy and helpful...no matter the location

I'm not sure what it is about this place that I love so much. Maybe it's just the million signs about beavers you see on the way to Houston that gets me laughing and by the time I get to Buc-ees I'm just in a great mood. First off the bathrooms are always clean and nice. You never have to be afraid of what disease you might catch and that's always an A+. Second of all, there are all these fun items like "pain in the ass" hot sauce to beaver jerky to Davey Crockett raccoon skin (faux) hats. Lastly and defiantly not least you can grab a bite to eat. Free samples of their fudge and different type of fresh goodies to eat. It's a gimmick yes, with all the beavers and the t-shirts and what not but I'm a fool for it all. Check it out on your way from Dallas. Grab some gas, take your pet to the pet area to take a needed break, grab something to eat and maybe grab something fun to take back with you.
