Furthermore, they actually have a small selection of drinks, considering how many drink doors they have. You'll find a larger selection in a gas station 1/4 of the size. They just have expanded facings of a limited variety of drinks, especially energy drinks. I drive often and I've noticed their variety continues to dwindle at all locations. By now people are familiar with the Buc-ee's concept. Huge parking lot, tons of gas pumps, convenient shopping, every food you would possibly want while on the road without being fast food. In that respect, this Buc-ee's delivers in spades and has everything. On the food, people underrate the convenience and flavor of what is offered. Pretty much any food type hot and ready. Made to order in many cases. I prefer breakfast kolaches and BBQ, although the sandwiches are good too. And fountain drinks as far as the eye can see at sub $1 price point! The location is good in Katy, because once you get closer to Houston it becomes more and more difficult to exit and experience a convenient stop in the city. A drawback is that to get to it from the west, there's an exit and an odd traffic circle that just takes a little navigating. This is in the noise of complaints, but many are easier to get to than this. From the east, it's just an easier I-10 exit. Staff friendly, place clean, tons of parking, everything else you need. This will continue to be a regular stop for me. read more

I'm on a mission to visit all of the Buc-ee's in the state of Texas. We know what Buc-ee's is all about. Spic and span bathrooms. Great food and snacks. A staple on any road trip. While each Buc-ee's is a little different and has its own individual flair, I've had this location penciled in for quite a while. When I found myself in Katy on a Friday afternoon, I knew it was time. This is pretty crazy but this location has the largest car wash in the world...you heard that right? Definitely something I needed to experience. There was a bit of a line but I got through it quickly. This is one of those car washes where a conveyer belt pushes you through the car wash. But, what makes it really cool is that the soap is rainbow colored. Makes for a nice visual experience. O and you have a choice of three different washes. If you go with the most expensive wash, you can also vacuum your car. That's what I did. There's a timer on the vacuum so make sure you move quickly. Buc-ee's, you are the greatest. read more

As with almost anyone, I love Buc-ees. I was driving through and accidentally missed the exit. I turned around to go back so I could buy lunch here. I love their kolaches and usually buy a dozen every time I stop (you also get 3 for free when you do that!). We stopped, got gas, and I went to the bakery to see no kolaches on display. I asked if they had them, and they said they only sell them 4am-11am now. I asked if this was company wide, but they said not all stores are doing this. The lady was very nice, but I was very disappointed. It was about 1pm and I wanted to buy my favorite kolaches for lunch and bring some home. I ended up getting a Philly Cheese Steak burrito. It was ok. My friend got a Brisket BBQ sandwich and liked it. I've had it before and never been disappointed, would definitely order it again. I was just disappointed about the kolaches. My friend also decided to buy fudge and jerkey for his office employees, so I was with him while he was picking what he wanted. It took roughly 10 minutes to get those, and both counters are close to the bakery counter. Out of curiosity, I watched every person who came up to that counter during the 10 minutes. Three people asked for kolaches and three people ordered sweets. I can't emphasize the fact enough that the staff has always been great. Never an issue at any location I've been to. But, I feel like kolaches are a staple of Buc-ees and it was extremely disappointing that this location isn't offering them during all business hours. I used to buy a couple dozen for my employees when I would drive past and bring them in the morning. Now if I'm not there before 11am (which I never am) I can't get them. I really hope you reverse this and don't roll it out to any other stores. I'm still a fan of Buc-ees. It is honestly a great store. But, this was severely disappointing. read more

I've been to many Buc-ee's over the years and this is by far the worst. Their pulled pork bbq sandwich had big chunks of fat instead of meat...literally had to pull out a quarter of the "meat" to eat it. They had no ketchup at all for some reason. My brother in law is in a wheelchair and he waited 45 minutes for a handicap stall, when he gave up, and we decided to find something down the road. Bucees prides itself on their bathrooms and you would think they would be accommodating but nope. They also only have 6 handicap parking spaces. So, I went to check out the car wash that the news outlets had been having about. They said it was five minutes long... Ok, so...I don't know if it depends on the wash that you select (and they can be as expensive as two bags of Buc-ees balls), but the wash I got was just over two minutes long. Don't get me wrong, the car was amazingly clean, afterwards... especially the tires, but it was in the same amount of time as a typical car wash. Now, the driving was three tiered and although I can't recall the names of each wash, I do recall that the bottom one was $9, the middle one was $12, and the upper level one was $16. I chose the middle one...and there was nothing that told you what you got for your dirty George Washingtons; there was no detailed description of each option. Note: You have to select the option for using the vacuum, so that the bar code is printed on your receipt. I was surprised to see that there were less blow dryers than what I've seen at Blue Wave. None-the-less, the gail force winds from the blowers did there job. At the end if the experience was the vacuum stations, which included a hose the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle, each having a different attachment. I think that the time was too short for my SUV, but only by half a minute. All-in-all, I drove off with a smile...but, forgot to use the amazing restrooms. Sheesh. read more

Buc-ee's got me with its relentless billboards along the freeway from Austin to Houston. By the time we got close to this location in Katy, I was ready to see the world's longest car wash and the humongous wall of beef jerky. One of our friends had also told us to drop by a Buc-ee's if we had time. He said it was worth it even to go and get gas. We didn't need gas, or really anything, but it seemed like the thing to do on a short Texas road trip. This proved correct. We only went for ten minutes, but it was a fun little detour. The world's longest car wash looked fun, and I might've been tempted to go through it if we were driving our own car. The gas station was impressive, too, probably the largest I've ever seen. The whole place was big and bright and Texan, with an endless selection of products--clothes and stuffed animals and souvenirs, and tons of stuff to eat. I bought a strawberry mango Beaver Freezer--a proprietary popsicle advertised on one of those billboards--and it was delicious, fruity and refreshing. I also grabbed four bags of beef jerky to take home, two each of a spicy jerky and a teriyaki, both great. If I'd stayed much longer, I'm sure I would've collected more goodies. Buc-ee's is the kind of place that just makes you want to say bye to some money. If you find yourself on the road while visiting Texas, chances are you'll come across a Buc-ee's. There will be billboards letting you know when one is near, and it should be well worth your time to get off the freeway. read more

I love buc-ees! For those not familiar it's part truck stop, part gas station and part Walmart in my opinion. I grew up think gas station good is gross, but this isn't a gas station, buc-ees is well known for there fresh foods and desserts and plentiful drink options. When you walk in you taken away with the landscape, halfway in are the areas where foods are being made, I had the xxl sliced brisket sandwich, a chicken fajita burrito and a large lemonade. The food looked so good I forgot to take a picture. The bbq brisket meat was so tender and juicy and sauces up to perfection. Chicken fajita was good however I should've gotten hot sauce to help kick up the flavor. I love this place every time I am in Texas I make it a point to go and enjoy the bbq! Employees are always friendly as you can hear in the video they were very nice and greeted me twice when I walked in. I believe there are tables and stuff to sit at outside however, I don't remember. Behold the splendor and glory of this Buc-ee's. It is enormous and has their excellent car wash and non-ethanol gas. It has all the usual Buc-ee's-ness: spotless bathrooms, tons of snackage, t-shirts, sandals, cow skulls, etc. I've purchased some excellent sandals here. They really do have quality products. You probably pay a little more at Buc-ee's than other places but there isn't a better value. Everything is fresh, it's spotlessly clean and the service is exceptional. read more

This particular Buc-ee's advertises that they are bus friendly, but then does not provide parking for large vehicles. If you're in a bus, RV or towing a vehicle or camper definitely skip this spot because this location is so busy and cramped you will likely not get a parking spot. read more

Buc-ee's indicates that a free restroom is available with a green light above the door and a green symbol on the lock saying "vacant". That was not the case as I was using the restroom an employee unlocks the door from the outside stares at me and says "oh my bad." This shows lack of awareness and incompetence, and to double down on it. His coworker who sounded like a young guy was standing behind him, just laughing the whole time. I mean, imagine if this was a little kid thinking it's safe to finally use the restroom by themselves for the first time and all you see is a grown man opening the door without even knocking and they just straight up unlock open and stare at you read more

This is the greatest most amazing Buc-ee's of all time! It has a car wash that smells amazing! There are so many gas pumps that it is insane. You NEVER have to wait in line to get gas, they are also the only place that has ethanol free gas, and for a fair price as well. There are so many grades of gas it is amazing! The facility is fantastic and super clean. Of course they are known for their bathrooms, the amount of stalls they have is amazing! Again you never have to wait in line to go to the restroom. It is always clean, I believe they have a person cleaning it all day! The amount of food they have to offer is super exciting! There is jerky, bbq, sandwiches, kolaches, cookies, desserts, pretty much anything for everyone. I came here after Hurricane Harvey had just gone through Houston, the gas price they were offering for unleaded was $1.88, which is far less than anything I saw nearby. Everything else was average $2.49! They are the best! Literally! Not sure how they manage to keep the prices so low, but it's amazing and they are just as amazing. It is super easy to exit and get in and out of here. I am making this place officially my stop on the way out of Houston every time I go now! I was visiting from out of town and my friend wanted me to visit an official "Buc-ee's gas station". It was larger than what I expected and gave me a one-stop-shop, flea market type feel. Everything was neat, organized and in order. They basically have anything you think you'd need and even things you didn't know you needed like fresh roasted sugar almonds. Stopping on our way back home and looking for the Beaver is just like the Golden Arch on road trips. Bucees is Walmart of gas stations, you go in for a restroom break and gas and guarantee to walk out with more. Prices are always reasonable, gas reasonable with plenty of pumps. The restrooms are super clean and ladies the individual stalls with sanitizer and cleanser is whole experience. I went in for coffee and a few snacks and they provide a wide range of flavors and add ins. The beaver nuggets -all flavors- are addicting and a must try. Stop at Bucees you will be wowed (minus the long lines at times) but hey is a favorite! read more
