HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! This location also has a brush type car wash, so if you want touch less keep going. Been here many times and staff here has always been friendly. So why not 5 you ask, well the car wash codes can at times not work, making you have to go inside to correct. The window wash stations are often out of water or missing the window wipers. They never really communicated with the customers on why it closed for nearly a year. They just disappeared into thin air. Then all of a sudden it opened back up under ownership. I'll be the first to say that it's not the same at all. They don't have most of the things I used to purchase before the first one closed. For example, I used to always order Oreo vanilla shakes. Now they don't serve them anymore. I used to always stop there to get a few Powerade or Gatorade drinks for the road. They don't sell those anymore. The last time I stopped there for a Powerade, they said the only fruit-type drink available was Calypso. I reluctantly order one of the Calypso drinks and the kid proceeds to hand me a HOT one. It's 120 degrees outside and they give me a hot drink. I asked him why he gave me a hot Calypso and he said sorry and gave me a small cup of ice for my troubles. That's not going to win you any customers. I also forgot to add that I came up one morning to try the new chicken biscuit sandwich. This was around 830 or 845. So I was assuming that they'd have plenty of breakfast ready. Nope. They told me it was going to take 20 minutes to make the sandwich. Luckily I had to stop home and was going to pass by again, so I told them I'd be back. I reluctantly came back to get the sandwich. It was tasty, but it shouldn't have taken 20 minutes to make it. I'm willing to bet it won't take Tim Horton's 20 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich. I'm trying my best to support Farm Stores, but this new regime is clearly cutting corners on supplies and everything else the old regime had. It's not the same place as it was before. There were no drink lids, other than a few extra-large size cup lids. The counters are sticky and wet. There was a mop and bucket literally sitting in the middle of the store.
