Since the first question all my friends seem to be asking me lately is "have you been to Buc-ee's yet?" I figured we had better check it out. This Texas bases chain of the most over the top convenience stores is quite a concept. it's huge, Texas sized I suppose, my first thought when I walked in was "are you kidding me?" Turns out they are not. This is snack food central, with the best make your own coffee bar that could exist, a bakery counter, fudge counter and the star attraction: beef brisket sandwich's. Plus about a million other shiny objects to turn your head and your wallet. Everything is delicious, prices are reasonable and if you like jerky you are going to be very happy here worshipping at the giant wall of jerky. It's a monument to the American road trip. Five stars. I wish there was one in South Florida. read more

This place will make you say wow. I laugh thinking Wawa was a big gas station. This place can't even be described that way. It is massive, the food options superior, the Knick knacks and gift store fun, and most importantly, the staff is welcoming, kind, helpful, and obviously proud of where they work. The place is awesome! The brisket sandwiches were great. Fresh fudge and candies nuts smelled amazing. Over a dozen varieties of house made jerky to try. Good thing this place is over 200 miles away from where I live or I would obsess over it. Fun place that is worth going out of your way to visit. read more

Nothing else you can say other than if you haven't been yet you must fill up your tank and your tummy at Buc-ee's at least once. It's a one stop shop for everything you can think of from beverages to snacks to clothing to pet supplies you can find it all. Ooh and they have cool t shirts too. Best part if there level of cleanliness - the bathrooms are orderly and constantly cleaned and staff that are beyond friendly. THIS PLACE IS INSANE ! If someone tells you that Buc-ee's is just a gas station then I can tell you they have not been to a Buc-ee's. I swear there must've been 50 or more gas pumps and it was more of a traffic jam in the parking lot. Everyone was trying to go in every direction without knowing where to go. Inside was not any better. The store is HUGE and it was packed. They had areas with gift shop stuff like stuffed buc-ee dolls, bbq tools and books. But the real popular stuff was all the specialty sections like the TEXAS ROUND UP (mostly sandwiches and BBQ brisket); we were here in the morning and they had a lot of different breakfast sandwiches and wraps but my husband got a brisket sandwich; he said he couldn't resist and that it was pretty good. There is also a section for DRINKS (fountain sodas, coffees, and icees) There is a FUDGE counter; I didn't get but it looked so good. There was a kiosk with HOT NUTS; I got my favorite hot-sugar-coated pecans (OH MY GOSH IT WAS DELICIOUS). There are plenty of food areas like the BAGGED CANDIES; so many options. And my husband thought they built one area just for him; it looked like a butcher shop or a deli counter at first but it was actually a JERKY COUNTER. So many options of beef jerky, like spicy, teriyaki, garlic and then I think I saw a turkey option too. I was very impressed with how many people that worked there were just cleaning... I was getting coffee and there was at least 3 different people straightening up and cleaning the counters the whole time. And speaking of it being clean, the BATHROOMS were huge and extremely clean. Again, this place is INSANE since it's crazy busy; but even though it's touristy, it's worth coming but if you are in a rush or just need gas, then stick with WaWa. read more

Until recently, I only knew of Buc-ee's and its glories from friends who live in "The Lone Star State" as well as from people who have visited recently opened Buc-ee's closer to the East Coast. From what I had heard, I was excited as I had heard these convenience stores on steroids/gas stations were incredible and I knew that one day, I would have to check one out. Well, that opportunity came sooner than I thought, as when me and my Mother were traveling to St. Augustine and Orlando recently, we had the pleasure of checking out this Buc-ee's just off of I-95 in Daytona Beach. As we were driving from South Florida to St. Augustine, I was feeling a little peckish and from what I remembered, this Buc-ee's had opened in Daytona. Although I was only 50-miles or so from St. Augustine, we stopped in that evening relishing the opportunity to take a little break from driving and lo-and-behold, we found that Buc-ee's more than lived up to the hype! Upon first entering Buc-ee's, we found it to be massive and pleasantly dizzying, almost being the size of a Walmart! When one enters, they will find a row of cash registers, which are surrounded by a whole row of merchandise, including apparel with Buc-ee Beaver and other tchotchkes. Further back, there are various counters for various types of food such as fudge, which looked sublime, warmed nuts, sausages, kolaches (a Texan/Czech pastry), jerky, barbecued meat sandwiches, and more! Wanting something somewhat substantial, I went to the BBQ counter, where Corey, one of the gentlemen working, proved to be gracious and professional. It was tough to decide between the BBQ Brisket and BBQ Turkey, but ultimately, I decided on the BBQ Turkey and due to my wheat allergies, requested no bun of which Corey obliged! I then decided to order a side of their Beaver Chips, which are thin slices of potatoes that are deep fried, almost like a freshly made potato chip. I should add that the prices of food were very reasonable, as I paid only a little over $10 for my sandwich and Beaver Chips, which is not bad at all given the high quality and good portion size. While I was waiting for my food, I then used the restrooms, which are incredible, as there are many stalls that are absolutely immaculate! Another cool feature is that there are various paintings on the walls, which add some atmosphere! Once my food was ready a few minutes later, I grabbed a couple of BBQ Sauces from the sauce bar and at the register up front, I was assisted by Donna, who was another fabulous employee thanks to her kindness and efficiency. Even with the crowds, Donna and the rest of her team did not break a sweat! Once I had the chance to tuck into my food, I found it to be delicious, as the turkey was moist, tender, and had a smoky note and I also loved the Beaver Chips, which were crunchy with an earthy potato flavor that melded with a slightly spicy and smoky flavor thanks to the seasoning. Me and my Mother loved Buc-ee's so much that when we were driving to Disney World from St. Augustine for the second part of our vacation a few days later, we stopped there again and had another wonderful experience, even getting lunch there as well as gas, which was an easy decision thanks to prices that were a little lower than average for the area as well as 200+ gas pumps, so there was little to no wait. With a fun and festive atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly folks, Buc-ee's is definitely worth the hype and if you are traveling up or down I-95 or anywhere there is a Buc-ee's, it is a wonderful stop for food, fuel, and fun! read more

My first visit EVER and I was honestly overwhelmed with the huge selection of choices. Very clean store. Certainly a one-stop-shop. I sampled the chopped brisket, delicious! I also enjoyed the chicken tenders (3) and fries. My mom and I shared a pecan cinnamon roll and besides the icing being a bit "off" it was tasty and too big for either of us to finish. Super fun place to stop and they have Tesla charging stations and lots of them. The traffic is really bad trying to get there though. I think it took us about 20 mins once we exited i95. That's the reason for 4 stars. The bathrooms are very clean and they have a staff person in there to keep things moving along. They have plenty of food but no tuna fish. Go figure. Lots of BBQ and pastries and plenty of staff to help. Prices are very reasonable. It's a great way to break up a trip. read more

Holy forking shirtballs! Who was the maniac who had the inconceivable notion that a gas-station/convenience store/highway-rest-stop could be a Destination? Well, whoever it was really knocked their vision out of the park! This place worked on me as it was clearly intended to do, and upon entering Buc-ee's I was compelled to go on a shopping binge... at a highway rest stop. Of course it helps to advertise the place for miles. By the time you approach the property, you are well acquainted with the smiling face of the beaver mascot. You may even have some sense of the products you want to buy. That beaver's face is just about on everything. Heck, I almost bought a full plush onesie for my teenager so they could look like Buc-ee when tucked into bed at night. Madness. What I did end up getting was a sliced brisket sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich, some freshly fried potato chips, and some beaver nuggets. Of these, the only one I might buy again is the sliced brisket sandwich. We're in an era when there are so many great fried chicken sandwiches, even at fast food places, that one with a less than crispy crust need not apply. The chips were fine, but I'd rather save my calories for fatty meats instead of fried potatoes. If you like BBQ sauce, the chopped brisket sandwich might be more your speed. However, if you are going to eat in the car, I thought sliced would give me a better shot arriving at my destination in a clean shirt. It did. It was also nicely tender and smokey. There were some juicy tender bits of brisket fat, which I love, but it would have been even better had the brisket been trimmed less. The sauce was tasty, and it did not overwhelm the meat, which I appreciated. As for the "Beaver Nuggets"... it's kind of a love hate thing there. They are definitely worth trying once. The classic version is kind of like a cross between kettle corn and corn puffs. Think cheesy poofs, but with the cheese replaced with a sweet, salty, and crispy glaze. On one hand they are a brilliant feat of food engineering playing off our human desire for fat, sugar, and salt. On the other hand, they are a grotesque indulgence full of fat, sugar, and salt... but not quite really food. I can imagine trying to feed one to an animal, and watching the animal sniff at the nugget and turn away in search of something nutritious and life sustaining. But hey, if you love them, go for it. You only live once. And we have all kinds of great medicine which can mitigate the harm you might be doing to your body. So, while I may not love Buc-ee's to pieces, I certainly appreciate this place. You can also rest assured that if I start seeing signs with that smiling beaver on the highway, I'll be stopping in again. Maybe next time I'll try some jerky or find another treasure that will turn my appreciation into a complete and abiding love. read more

The Mecca of fuel stops, restroom breaks, thirst quenchers & general shopping. Yes they've developed a cult style following and having moved from Texas, where Buckee's originated to a place where they are nonexistent makes this stop a worthwhile trip. It's nothing less than I expected - spotless restrooms, off the wall shopping (we did find some Christmas presents here) & plenty of fresh hot food. If you've never stopped at one before and your travels take you close to a Buckee's you owe it to yourself to stop for awhile. This is not a gas station it's practically a supermarket. It's the Mecca of rest stops! Bathrooms are spotless, the store itself is very clean, cool and refreshing,very busy! There's a lot to see you could easily spend an hour in there. I tried the following - brisket sandwich : 7/10 it's amazing for a "gas station" sandwich. These sandwiches were flying off of the counter. They were made probably seconds before I picked one up. I just wish it had a little less fat. - gummy bears: 10/10 fresh, not hard, flavors are very good! -candied almonds: 10/10 reminds me of Christmas in NYC. - jerky : 100/10 I literally wish I got pounds of jerky like the guy next to me. We will ALWAYS choose Buc-ee's! We discovered Buc-ee's on our cross country road trip from California to Georgia in 2021 (obviously we found it in Texas) and since then, we never turned back. Literally, the ONLY gas station I will use the bathroom at because it's the cleanest gas station bathroom EVER. Any Buc-ee's location is a whole freakin VIBE and experience, one that you'll enjoy. It gets CROWDED like crazy and you'll find yourself waiting in line for the bathroom or standing patiently once they wrap that pulled pork sandwich and put it under the heater. But it still doesn't take away from the experience. Every time we go, we know what we're grabbing so we're always out quickly. And of course, the occasional times when I want to look at their new merchandise and home decor. Love their food. Love their dessert. Love their everything. I love how they have endless gas pumps. Yes, it gets packed, but we have never had to wait in line for gas. Love how they have open grass space for your dog to do their business. I have nothing but good things to say about this franchise! Wow I don't even know where to begin to describe this place. I've heard so many stories about it and have been wanting to check it out. So the place is HUGE. There are 100s of gas pumps and the store is like a superstore that Aeolus everything you can possibly think of. Food, beer, wine, home decor, clothing, cold drinks, hot drinks.... It was sensory overload for sure. The restrooms are very large and super clean. Buc-cee's is a popular chain gas station/convenience store on 100. We stopped here on the way back to Orlando from Daytona beach just to browse around and to sample their famous brisket sandwich. They are open 24 hours a day everyday and I can see why. Buc-cee's had their start in Texas and opened several locations throughout the United States and attracts people from all over. They currently have 2 locations in Florida. Imagine a Wawa gas station times 100. They've got all the snacks and beverages that you can ever think of plus clothing, toys, kitchenware and BBQ grills that you can purchase. They got a deli section where they're grilling up meats and putting sandwiches together. Their brisket sandwich is really good despite the picture I took of it that does it no justice. Their prices are a bit steep but I can see why it's a fan favorite. The meat is moist and tender. We also grabbed a few other items to snack on on the way home as well. If you're in the area, go check them out and enjoy the novelty. But I must warn you, be prepared to shell out some dough surrounded with ton of tourists. read more

Cheapest gas we've gotten in years at $3.09, friendliest staff we've ever come across at a store or gas station in Florida, best BBQ pork sandwich I've had in a long time and Buc-ee's merchandise galore!! No, the amount of cars seen will never go down, so just pull on in and join the masses. You won't regret it. Buc-cees is not just a stop, it's a destination all on it's own. It can be a little overwhelming once you first enter. I was amazed at how huge it was inside. There is something for everyone. We grabbed a couple of bbq sandwiches, beaver nuggets and different kinds of fudge. Everything was really fresh and delicious. The cashier lines moved pretty fast so that was a plus as well. What a great place to stop when you travel! Great gas prices, yummy snacks of all kinds and all the cute gifts you can imagine. So far we've liked the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, our daughter ordered the tacos and said they were yummy too. Outstanding cleanliness and service! The bathrooms are well maintained and they're huge, can't imagine having to wait in line at this establishment. Today we tried the salad, fruit and jerky. All tasted fresh and we were all satisfied with the flavors. If you enjoy a really great fountain drink then you must stop and take your time deciding which buttons to push, I suggest giving the Buc-ee's flavors a try! I just love Buc-ee's!! Whenever I am on a road, I make it a point to stop in. I won't disclose how many I stopped in on my journey from Miami, Fl to Corolla, NC. However, I will say that I talked about Buc-ee's so much that I talked my cousins (who were driving in separate cars) to stop in at least once on the drive. They loved it so much it became our gas stop location. On the drive up was my first time trying their burritos. Both my son and I enjoyed them very much. I had the chicken fajita one which had just the right amount of flavor. My son had the taco burrito (I believe that is what it was called). It was so filling for him that he was able to eat off of it twice; which is a win in my book. Less money O had to spend on the drive up. lol. read more

It's a perfect stop to refresh the family during a long road trip. There's endless options of housemade items, albeit probably from a central manufacturer - the stuff is good and fresh. Anything you think you need is in Buc-ee's. There's a live meat carving station, a section where freshly roasted nuts are being made along with sweet treats, a hot kitchen with sandwiches made to order, and whatever else comes to mind you might need. For me, it was an extreme sensory overload experience. So many people and moving parts. A lot is going on in one space. I must say the bathroom was very clean, which is a major plus. I did try a turkey melt and fries only because I needed to eat before we stopped at a winery. I was very intrigued and excited to check out Buc-ee's. It's a huge gas station/convenience store that sells hot food as well. They also sell a lot of merch, souvenirs, household items, and snacks. I tried the sliced brisket sandwich which was quite tasty. The bun was soft and the brisket was juicy, fatty, and sweet with the BBQ sauce. I thought the price was a little steep (around $9) but worth it if you're in a hurry or really craving a brisket sandwich. I also tried some of the hot club sandwich which was tasty and flavorful. They had a number of other hot sandwich options like pulled pork which I'd be down to try in the future. I'd definitely recommend getting a hot sandwich over a cold one!
