Purely food based review (hot foods section): Brisket sandwiches - My God if you've told me this was from a BBQ restaurant I'd believe you. Juicy, fatty, flavorful. Highly recommend snagging a few. Fried Chicken Sandwich - Pretty decent, about as good as most other fast food chains. Wish they had a spicy version. Sausage on a stick - This is a hefty sausage, pretty flavorful, but I didn't like the tortilla wrapped around it as much. Apple Pie - Damn get this if you are a fan. This was great stop! I never had stopped at a Bucees before and I was able to get fruit and my husband was able to get an actual meal. They had a kids section if you have kids that was not awful it looked like a Barnes and nobles. There were other parts of the store that looked like Cracker Barrel if you are familiar with that store with towels and clothes and etc. They also had their adorable mascot the little beaver named Bucee in Halloween and various other merchandise from coolers,chairs to decorations for your home. The cleanest gas station I think I've ever been in. Its like if a Kroger, a gas station, and a big lots had a baby. They have a lot of stuff but most of it seemed more like knicknacks and clothes. They do have a wall of Icee machines which was awesome and more beef jerky than the human body could possibly handle. The candied pecans were delicious and It wasn't very crowded. read more

bucees is the definition of amuuurica. b. i. g. massive. fatty food. large portions. the biggest gas station I've ever been to. the gas station to pump, is massive. there's literally no reason for you to get in an accident because if you do, you're a moron. there's a whole car space between you and the pump in your lane. there's about two car widths between you and the next lane over. also gas here is so much more affordable. bathrooms are impeccable. the space between the stalls and the hand washing station is soo wide. you can't hit anyone because the doors open inward. the inside of the stalls is massive too. it's the same size as a new york apartment. inside the stall, there's 4 rolls of toilet paper, handsanitizer and a sanitizer for the toilet seat. at the hand washing station, there's six sets of double sinks. large mirrors. three automatic no touch towel dispensers. it smells absolutely divine in here. there's merchandise to buy. brisket and pulled Pork sandwiches. the multiple types of fudge, cinnamon coated nuts, croissants, drinks... also had your regular gas station foods. I'd definitely say the food smells way better than it tastes though. the pecans were soft-i wished for a crunch. flavor was good. the pulled pork sandwich was decent. I'd say there were probably 70-80 employees and everyone i encountered was so friendly and quick to assist. I was just looking around because It was my first time here and an employee stopped me to ask me if i needed help. just on the pulled pork sandwich station alone, there were 7 employees there assembling. everyone seemed to enjoy their job. read more

The focus of this review is the BBQ sandwiches, specifically the brisket. I purchased my first sandwich last weekend. I cook brisket and do a bit of BBQ'ing and Smoking. I got the sandwich and took it outside to eat (in the rain). My first observation was the bread was soaked through with BBQ sauce and falling apart. Some ended up on the parking lot floor. Then, I took another bite and got to the meat. It was incredibly fatty and chewy and I had to spit this out too. I then thought maybe that was a one-off piece of meat and took another bite. Nope, it was even more fatty and tough. I then took a closer look and found the strips of brisket to have about 60-70% fat. That was all of the meet in the sandwich. So, at this point, I decided to go inside and talk to the staff about it. I threw the remains of the sandwich in a trash can outside the entrance. I approach a staff member at the register who said a manager would come over to talk to me. A few minutes later, a "manager" came out. I explained my experience with the sandwich and was SHOCKED at the response. She said have you got the sandwich. I told her I just threw the remains away. I hade the receipt showing time and date. She said, she can not do anything unless you have the sandwich. So, I went outside and luckily, it was still on the top of the trash can inside and I was able to retrieve most of it. I went back into the store and asked for the manager again. This time I was greeted by two "managers". I showed them the sandwich and specifically the state of the meat and they said, we cannot do anything because not all of the sandwich was there. I reminded them that I took two bites, the rest was in the parking lot floor or in the trash can. I'd estimate at least 50% of the sandwich was still present and clearly showed poorly cooked meat and soaking bread. She again said, she would do nothing, not an apology or anything. I would have expected a replacement sandwich or a refund but nothing. She walked away. I was originally planning to go back in the store after eating and do a little Christmas shopping. Needless to say, I did not and will not go to any Buc-ee's establishment again. My biggest issue is how they dealt with the issue (Or did not deal with it). I understand mistakes can be made with food but its the proprietors response to a complain that makes a bad situation better or worst. When we go home from our road trip, I emailed the Buc-ee's corporate from their website. I found the process difficult and no published phone number to report an issue. I requested a response in 48 hours before I hit social media with my experience. No response from the corporate office. So, here I am. For the price of products in this crazy place, you expect better quality. The meet was cooked too quickly, not trimmed of the excess fat and the sandwich was soaking from inside to out in BBQ sauce. Save your money, find a local restaurant and not a Buc-ee's. read more

Neat place to stop at. Good dry products and beverages to go. Cheap gas. Some food is worth the price others not so much. Use to be able to order burritos on the touch screen. Now they are all G&G. Has a good taste but very lite on ingredients and defiantly NOT worth the $9 price tag when all items like cheese, jalapenos, sc all cost .50 to .99 more in tiny side cups. It's always PACKED! People are aggressive and angry. I have tried their Beaver nuggets and they are WAYYYYY overrated. Not worth the sugar. It would be awesome if they also fixed the sign over the coffee that says "Columbia" as that would be located in South Carolina and isn't the name of the country. Super sloppy. We were driving by and decided to stop by since we love buc-ees. There's literally everything in this store. I love the food they sell here. I got a barbecue turkey sandwich that was amazing. I also purchased beef and turkey jerky they literally have the best. I purchased cold coffee and you can make your own. Highly recommend this place for everything. I don't understand the hype. We went on Friday, 12/24/21. It was packed. It's a gas station, but also a superstore with everything you can ever imagine - clothes for your dog, house decor, Buc-ee's Christmas sweaters, breakfast tacos...everything. It was very overwhelming, not to mention overpriced. I got brisket and egg tacos ($3.69 each). They were eh. Again, I don't understand what everyone is so crazy about this place for. So I don't normally give reviews for 24 hour gas stations but it looks like I am now. A Texas business decided to set up roots over here in Calhoun, Georgia. What a set up it is.....this ( as my husband indicated) is a destination, the Disney World of gas stations. It out rivals WAWA, sorry it does. When you walk through the double doors you are immediately transported into another dimension. This location is as big as a stadium and as wide as the state of Texas. They have multiple entrances and tons of merchandise to look through. Seeing is believing at this location. The food is exceptional try it all, I certainly tried too. From pulled pork to sliced brisket you won't be disappointed. You can watch the staff assemble your food fresh. I am going to leave the merchandise part out because it's like multiple mini stores inside this location, there's just too much to describe in one post. Do yourselves a favor drive North to Calhoun and check this place out. You won't be sorry and you won't leave empty handed. I promise you won't, they have everything and more. alright. *cracks knuckles and neck* you can't put a label on buc-ee's in my opinion. it is labeled as a gas station, but it's so much more. my family goes here on occasion to get gas, use the bathrooms, etc. they have the cleanest bathrooms i've ever used, not to mention the food there. we don't even need to make two stops. this place gets 5 stars only because i can't go above 5. the only thing i have bad to say about it is that it's a tourist attraction at this point, and so if you get uncomfortable in crowds this isn't your place. i've read a few reviews, and a lot of people had issues with the fact you aren't permitted to park your RV in the parking lot. there are a few places up two exits (exit 312) for you to do that. also the prices can sometimes be a little high, but the drinks and snacks are fine. thank you for your time. read more

If you're near a Buc-ees, you need to stop in! It's quite the experience! It will be busy on a weekend, but you'll still be able to find parking, items fully stocked and efficient check out! Each Buc-ees has their own t-shirts distinct to their state and a few regular standard ones! I mean they really think of everything you want to brows and buy! Don't forget to stop and grab food and snacks! I would never buy cooked food at a gas station but you can't pass it up here! Kolache is fantastic- asked for it to be warmed! A must stop for anyone and especially families travelling and looking for a nice, clean, and fun spot to take a travel break. This is a great departure from the typical gas stations with sad food options and questionable characters buying cigarettes and lotto tickets. Headed north up to the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky and this was the northernmost Buc-ee's without having to go far from I-75. There is a location in Sevierville, Tennessee that's off of I-40. This time around I tried the Club Melt which had a spicy mayo that was really good and the banana pudding was alright, nothing to write home about. I also got some deer flavored dog treats, a dog toy, a sampler pack of their spiced nuts, the white cheddar beaver nuggets and some cherry maple jerky which was the best thing I've had there so far. I never thought I would have a favorite gas station but I'm OBSESSED with Buc-ees. Not only is their gas the cheapest on my way to KY or TN but the employees are so sweet! Not to mention there is a TONNNNNN of food options that you wouldn't get at a normal gas station. My favorite is the Texas BLT sandwich!!! Also, they have like 120 pumps (literally) and so many other cool things. Just think of a supermarket as a gas station and that's exactly what you get here!
