I have always heard of the "incredible" Buc-Ee's! But, I actually drove into a store that had the Buc-Ee's character on the store wall. When O walked inside I was bummed to see that it had a small wall lined with a few Buc-Ee's nuts and jerky. The place itself was a disaster. Fast forward a few years...probably 10 - and I was driving to FloriDUH and drove by a few HUGE Buc-Ee's so I stopped for gas and declared des yo go inside! WOW!!! It was amazing. I bought some jerky, some pecans, a double meat BBQ BEEF sandwich that I could eat everyday. EVERYDAY!! The service was very nice. Everyone greeted us. The value was on point! It was all perfect. Location had very clean bathrooms and was very well kept inside the store. Everything was organized. I'd say everything is fair priced for the market that's of today. The food quality was absolutely excellent. They have a beautiful display of food & it's very very clean. Customer service is absolutely outstanding here too! I bought souvenirs for the whole family plus lunch for myself for right around $100, which I think was super reasonable. A friend described it as "a circus in a gas station," and honestly, that might be the most accurate description ever. From the moment you walk in, you realize this isn't a quick stop, it's an experience. I planned to grab a snack and go. Instead, I spent nearly two hours wandering around, completely mesmerized. The food alone could keep you busy. There's an entire wall of beef jerky, at least 14 different flavors ranging from sweet and spicy to bold options like jalapeño honey and ghost pepper. My personal favorite? Cherry maple. The man behind the jerky counter gave me a full education, explaining how the beef is raised and processed in Texas, and how different cuts create different textures. I walked away with a whole new appreciation for jerky, and yes, I sampled more than a few. What an experience - it was like an explosion of flavor in every bite. It's a gift shop on steroids. I bought my son-in-law, Aqua Dannon, a Costa shirt that said "Born on the Water." It took me at least half an hour to decide which one to buy. There are that many great choices. There's a huge assortment of baby clothes that are absolutely adorable, plus an enormous selection of home goods, cookware, travel gear, and gifts you didn't know you needed, but suddenly can't live without. The souvenirs alone will make you stop, laugh, and wonder how you ever lived without a beaver-themed something. And yes, I got my picture taken with Buc-ee himself. You kind of have to. It's part of the ritual. What really struck me wasn't just the size of the place or the enormous selection of things to buy, it was the feeling. There's an energy in that place. Families laughing, people exploring, everyone just a little wide-eyed, like they've peeked under the edge of a circus tent and stepped into something magical. I was told people actually plan vacations with Buc-ee's as a destination. After this visit? I believe it. So is it a gas station? Technically, yes. But it's also part grocery store, part restaurant, part gift shop, part roadside attraction, and somehow, it all comes together like a perfectly run three-ring circus. Come for the gas. Eat a Corned Beef sandwich. Lose track of time completely. Have a blast! If you're looking for a job, the pay is excellent and they have a list of positions with salaries hanging from the ceiling. I have to stop in and get a few pounds of Jerky because even though it's expensive, it is very tasty so it's worth it. The drink fountain is excessive. We stopped at Buc-ee's to try their famous Crispy Chicken Sandwich. My grandson raves about it on every occasion. Located off World Golf Village Parkway in St. Augustine Florida. Across from Costco. Right off of Interstate 95. 1st of all, this location is packed Every time we pass by. Not just for gas but also for shopping and super clean restrooms. The hospitality of the staff is underrated. Just friendly people all around. Back to this chicken sandwich. $6.99 and worth it. Huge portion of pipping hot fried chicken served on a brioche roll. Some type of special sauce. I added mayo to mine before I noticed the sauce. It blended well with a little salt and pepper. The sandwich is large enough that I ate 3 portions off of it. Hubby found us a couple of cold drinks. Let's not forget all the sweets and caramelized candies and nuts. You can get caught up in this section. There's truly something for everyone here. I don't know why these places are as popular as they are. The only good thing about it was the size and cleanliness of the bathroom. The place is immense but most of the stuff there is junk. The pralines had a horrible texture and the brisket tastes like jerky with barbecue sauce on it. There are much better places to eat just about anywhere. This is the third Buc-ee's we have been to. We have been to the one Daytona Beach, & the one in Georgia almost to the Florida border. We know we will have fun walking around here. There's so much here from clothes for the whole family including the dog, house decor, toys, toiletrees, food, snacks, bbq sandwiches, bakery items, snacks, drinks. They have it all, plus the gas and car wash outside. If anything they do need tables to eat outside which they don't. This store is so much fun and the food and snacks for the road are so irresistible. This is def a must stop if it's near you. You will love this pit stop. I could not leave without grabbing one of the most mouthwatering sandwiches around! - the basic Brisket sandwich!! One of the BEST values around!! The bathrooms weren't that clean. The occupied indicators didn't work right (same experience in Georgia; I also have a review of the Buc-ee's in Brunswick, Georgia). One of the paper towel dispensers wasn't working. But at least the water was a normal temperature, unlike the too-hot faucets in Georgia. I didn't see prices for the fresh foods here. The vanilla creme soda (¢89 for a small) was a disappointment: not up to the level of cream sodas I've tasted in the past. The sliced barbecue brisket sandwich ($8.49) was pretty good, but I didn't love it like the first time I had it. My wife loved it as much as the first time, however. It was better than the Carolina pulled pork ($6.99), we thought, though that was pleasant. The peach cobbler ($2.99) was decent, but not as good as I'd hoped. So I was disappointed with the food this time. We spent $20.62 for the four items . Future foods to maybe try, besides repeating the brisket: I've read that the pastrami reuben is good, but I didn't see it in either location I've been to. The Kolache is only available mornings; especially jalapeno cheddar (with sausage; heat it). Maybe try the pecan pie (only saw some pecan bars 9/25). What's not to like about Buc-ee's!? We stopped to get a quick road snack and pit stop. Lots of things to look at, souvenirs galore. Super clean bathrooms and plenty of sanitizer everywhere. Quite a strong aroma of beef brisket everywhere. There was a circular deli counter in the middle of the store with staff cooking and assembling beef brisket. My husband was amused by the cooks shouting, "Brisket on the board!" when a new slab of brisket came out. Lots of deli counters serving dried meat jerky and burritos. read more

I watch a lot of food and travel videos on YouTube. Influencers are always talking about Buc-ee's and I was so excited to have a chance to visit one. Right now I think the closest location to Baltimore is in Florence, NC. We drove past that one before I realized that we were south enough to start finding them. It was an overwhelming experience. We didn't bother to explore half the store, as we're already running out of money, and we haven't even made it to Orlando yet. We chose to focus on the food and the brisket, of course. How can you not taste the brisket? They loudly announce when it's fresh from the cooker and hitting the carving board. Same when they sauce it. Pulled pork gets a call and response, too, so I had to get some of that. The breakfast egg and brisket wrap/burrito was awful. The brisket was good; big tender chunks, but the eggs were super soft, mushy, and wet enough to turn the tortilla into a soggy mess. I couldn't even entice a local crane to take it off my hands. The brisket sandwich made us declare we would return to Buc-ee's just to get another one, or four. The three meat sandwich surprised me. In the past, turkey on a combo sandwich of any kind has been dry and tasteless. But this turkey is thickly cut, moist, and well seasoned. The sausage was also nicely cut, but still kept its snap. We stopped in because we realized that we needed to know what all the hype was about. We've seen a ton of signs for this business and the size of the building and lot in itself, left me with questions. Why so big and busy? Well let me tell you, it's worth the hype. The lot is huge with plenty of parking. The building is the truly magical part. You walk inside and it's a mix between a convenience store, deli, bakery, souvenir shop and sporting goods store. There's truly something for everyone. You can see the employees packing up sandwiches and the display cases are full of fresh baked goods and fudge. You can stock up on souvenirs, supplies for your rv or some snacks for the road. The restrooms are immaculate and employees are constantly through the store tidying up. The prices are reasonable and the employees are genuinely friendly. It was such a different experience. The egg bowl I had wasn't the greatest and the iced coffee was way too strong for me. But other than that, I really don't have anything negative to say. The diesel prices were great and they also had def. Every employee here does nothing but and offer assistance and smile. There favorit line is "Is this your first time here?" "We went into the sore after gassing up, to take the 'self guided tour.' The first thing that catches your eye is the fresh sandwich section in the front. Brisket, Turkey, Sausage were the primary. "Brisket on the Cutting Board." You hear that alot as they're cutting and chopping. My wife and I went with the sliced brisket sandwich. It was AMAZING. Great tender-tasty meet and a savory BBQ sauce. They have an amazing fudge section, and the biggest selection of Jerky I have ever seen. Plenty of cloths, nic-nacs and branded items... Lots and lot of branded items. This is a gas station that is ABSOLUTELY worth the hype!!! I've seen videos of Buc-ee's pop up on Tik Tok here and there and have always wanted to check it out. Luckily, I'm in FL visiting family and there's a location about 45 mins from where we're staying. I found myself getting overstimulated by the amount of merch there is to see. And with the aroma of hot glazed nuts, you're bound to want to stay. I purchased a few items: a collectible pin, t-shirt, magnet for the fridge, Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets, Overbite chocolate bar, and a veggie burrito. I wasn't expecting the veggie burrito to be anything special, but it completely blew me away. I planned to eat half of it, but it was delicious so I ate the whole thing. Inside were a variety of veggies with a creamy chipotle sauce and the tortilla was nice and soft. I didn't have the stomach for it this time, but eventually I'd like to try their famous banana pudding and the fudge. Everything looked tasty. Last but not least, I had to see what the bathrooms looked like being as they are "world famous". This was the most immaculate public restroom I have ever stepped foot in. The brisket is tough, they use cheap meat. Do not buy food here! It may smell good, but do not let that fool you. I would avoid the food with all cost and the HORRIBLE assistant manager Robert, who is useless and weak! The food was bad so I went to return the brisket and was told they "don't return food only exchange it" they only had 1 left of the same exact item. After 30 mins of wasting my time, Robert couldn't think outside the box and comp me 30 cents. Oh and the little sign is in super small print on the wall when you walk out. Tip: The staff did mention Tuesday are the days that they aren't so busy it is their slowest day. They had much more items than the Daytona location but I believe that is because this one wasn't so busy. So I was able to grab a buccee tumbler I had been eyeing on Facebook. I grabbed one of the last bacon egg and cheese croissants, some tots, and a coffee, and checked out. Also, if it's super crowded, the place is a nightmare trying to navigate due to the design and the new stores nearby. I recommend this place if it's not a busy travel day or if early morning. While visiting Florida, our friends told us that we needed to stop at Buc-ee's. I had no idea what to expect but upon walking in...I was in awe. It was a bit overwhelming as there is SO much going on all at once. We ended up coming here on the way back to the airport to grab a few more snacks to bring home and another chopped brisket sandwich. They're so good! The meat isn't fatty and the sauce they add is flavorful without being overpowering. I appreciate that they give you lean meat and toss the fat. On the way home from vacation , trying to miss those tolls we came back on 95. Not my favorite way back home from Florida, I don't like coming back through Columbia, SC. We stopped at Buc-ee's on the way to Florida at 3:00 am, the brisket sandwiches were not out at that time. On the way back we stopped at Buc-ee's at the World Golf Center. The location on my watch said St. Augustine. It was VERY crowded at our 12:00 pm stop. We did get our brisket sandwiches. Buc-ee's is just one of places you just have to stop. The restroom is big with plenty of stalls, and someone is always in the rest rooms to keep it clean. This time I bought a brisket and a club sandwich. I didn't like either one. The brisket had a lot of fat chopped in it and the club sandwich was bland. The chicken tenders and fries were on point!! They were delicious and those fries had that crunch to them. I mean it's really a travel center ORGANIZED and easy to shop. Just look up and the signs are big and clear. There is a variety of things to pick up as with any gas station/travel center. The flavor combination starts melting and churning in your mouth with little chewing. Sooo GOOD!!! Now for the Bucee "must have" chips - they are the kettle cooked homemade fries. They are OKay but nothing fancy at all about them. I actually searched the entire store looking for ketchup packets. I finally found someone who told me they are behind the counter at the bakery - WHY?? That makes no sense. LARGE CROWD alert. It is absolute chaos in there with all the people. The service is compared to Walmart, can't find anyone to help you if you're lost in the shuffle. Being that it is a travel center, I was holding my kids close to me. I'm Value - not so much. Most of the store is private label but the prices are just as much or more than the comparable brand. Also, the turkey sandwich I got was $7.99. That's about $3 too much for me. Getting gas - parking is overwhelming and brought feelings of anxiety for me. They really need a parking lot attendant or traffic controller. I did like the cashiers ability to pull up a picture of your car before paying.
