Buc-ee's is the creme de la creme for Truck Stops. Its like the Costco of Truck Stops. Now that I've seen the light on truck stops, I will always make it a point to stop at a Buc-ee's when I go across the US. Why go to a Buc-ee's? They have a lot of restroom stalls, about what looks like 50 gas pumps, lots of parking, hot meals, all sorts of fountain drinks, many icee flavors, shirts and gift items. My favorite snack to get here is Beaver Nuggets. Its like cheetos puffs with a sweet flavor. This is a good snack for the road. My suggestion is just come and check this place out. It is quite an experience. read more

Don't stop at this Buc-ee's in Luling, TX unless you absolutely have to. We were driving from Houston to San Antonio. Neither one of us like Buc-ee's food (super bland), but figured we would get gas and pee. A Love's Travel Stop (terrible) or even an old run-down dilapidated Citgo or Valero would have been a better choice. I start to fill up the tank and gasoline starts shooting everywhere! All over my shorts, socks, and my favorite pair of New Balance running shoes are soaked in gasoline. I quickly shove the spewing nozzle into the intake. Jimminy Christmas!!!! This has never happened before. Pardon my French, but this was some bull crap. Sure enough, some dipstick lady who looks like an IHOP waitress gets out of her truck smoking a cigarette. "Go! Go away!! Gas everywhere!!!I yelled at her. She walked away rolling her eyes and gave me the middle finger. My friend came back from her pee break. I walked over to the side of the building and peed on the wall. I walk back and she asks what happened. I tell her and she also has never heard of that happening. "We should tell the management" she says. I say, "no, let's just get out of here before the whole damn place blows up". Let me tell you something, it's extremely difficult to remove the smell of gasoline from a pair of running shoes. I ended up throwing them in a hotel washer machine. The shoes would bang around and eventually bust open the hatch and i would restart the machine. After the third time, I barricaded the washing machine hatch with a chair upon which I sat on playing with my phone and drinking beer for an hour. Dammit! I could still smell the gas! Eventually, the smell went away and we were able to enjoy our three day weekend trip. That was the last time I ever went to that Buc-ees. Never again. Too bad there isn't a Prasek's in Luling. If anyone in Buc-ees executive team reads this - yes, you can make this right. I will accept seven cases of Lonestar beer and one whole brisket (don't cut it or put any of that awful sauce on it) and we are square and I will write a positive review. read more

Buc-ee's no more. We travel a lot on I10 and I35 and Buc-ee's has always been appreciated along our routes. Stopped at Luling yesterday to get dinner on our way home as well as school and work lunches for the following day. I stopped at the brisket sandwich counter where staff is making sandwiches. Each bun is squirted with BBQ sauce. I asked if she could make me one without the sauce. She replied:" I can't do that. Sorry." And left it at that. I stood there baffled, thinking I had misheard. Not so. She continued going about her day, taking her gloves off and on a few times, checking on her cellphone messages and shared with her coworker whatever was on the screen, while squirting more BBQ sauce on buns in between. At least she was attentive to hygiene rules. playing on the phone while on the clock and wasting gloves is a different story. I'm not a confrontational person and was quite embarrassed asking a manager what I had just experienced. She said it's company policy. Company policy? My request would have saved her an extra step of work, not create more work. So I went on and put my jerky, candy and other sandwiches back on the shelves and left without buying anything. Will my action cause Buc-ee's any loss? No. But I feel better sharing my utter senseless experience. Lesson learned. We stopped at Bill Miller's in San Antonio for family dinner and work lunches and spend our $$$ bucks there. read more

Omg omg I've been seeing this place on tik tok and I can say is wow. I walked in got greeted. So nicely I didn't know where to start it's like a home goods food store. Type of place. The clothes and things they have were so cute. The variety of snacks and food even better I had to try the banana pudding it was creamy fresh had lots of topping in it with whip cream pretty good I think I would get it again so filling then I tired the beaver tots salty fresh crunchy. Then I got the chicken sandwich it had sauce and pickles it was so good you can taste the freshness of it the crunch. The flavor. And of course we are bringing home snacks to the family im sure they are just as good I wish we had one closer to us I can't wait to come back here again. Or the drive will be worth it . read more

The BEST Convenience store chain ever!! Actually Buc-ee's is on another level by itself!! It is a Convenience store on steroids!!!! You need to see it to truly appreciate it!! The store is super clean and organized despite the heavy traffic (customer) count. Even their restrooms are immaculately clean!! All the Buc-ee's label products which we've tried have been delicious. Hard to believe.....but their Brisket sandwiches were better than most bbq places we've tried in Texas Do yourself a favor, and stop into Buc-ee's. They are the BEST!!! read more

I love Buc-ee's and I purposely made the detour to come here for a fill up. You get the same big convenience store with a variety of jerkies and of course, the kolaches. However, this Buc's is a little on the smaller side-not to really complain. I didn't have to wait for a pump to open up or wait in line for the bathroom. Compared to some of the other massive Buc's though it's the runt of the litter. read more

I was in Luling and saw a nice bikini. Unfortunately, there were no fitting rooms at Buc-ee's. I politely asked if I could try on the top in the restroom, but I wasn't allowed. One of the employees said I could just buy it and if it didn't fit, I could exchange it. It didn't fit, and a few hours later I wanted to exchange it. I was told that swimwear couldn't be exchanged. I explained what the employee had said, but no, they wouldn't take it back. The manager said we needed to know their rules; I was stunned! I go there to shop, not to read theirs. So now I'm stuck with a bikini I can't use, and they refused to cooperate. I'm incredibly angry about this. There are no fitting rooms, and no signs on the swimwear stating that swimwear cannot be exchanged. I'm completely done with Buc-ee's; they have no customer service. The only thing I could find was that inconspicuous sign at the exit. It makes no sense. read more

We've been to a lot of Buc-ee's over the years and I have to tell you when we stopped at the new one in Luling last weekend, I was very disappointed. I don't know when they stopped making sandwiches to order but now it's all grab and go and the quality was not good. I grabbed a sliced brisket sandwich, my Buc-ee's go to, and it was almost all fat. Also, they apparently discontinued my French Vanilla Latte from the machine that was my keep-me-awake mainstay. I never thought I would give Buc-ee's anything less than a 5 but here we are at a 3. read more

Thee biggest Gas Station with so many stalls, it is unbelievable! Went to Texas a few times but haven't heard of Buc-ee's until earlier this year. My trip to texas earlier this year was a bit rushed. Didn't get to check them out. My second trip, I made sure I was going to experience the largest gas station. I was in Austin, on my way to San Antonio. Of course we had to fill gas at Buc-ee's, there was so many stalls and the parking lot was huge and was so easy and convenient. While my husband was filling the gas, I took a trip into the store. OMG, it was so huge and overwhelming. I looked at every direction and wanted to buy everything. But of course with self control. I looked and see what I need and should only get for my short drive to San Antonio. We youtubed and saw what people tried, so my husband got their brisket sandwich. It was so good and affordable that he was upset he didn't get another for the trip back. Even the next day he said he would want to eat that for bfast. Lol. But we were back in Austin so there wasn't a Buc-ee's nearby. There was so many snacks, taffy, jerky, nuts and much more at their prices. Which is affordable and of course their quality is great as well. Definitely coming back when I am back in Texas. And yes, everyone needs to check out a Buc-ee's when they get a chance! read more

Buc-ee's is awesome! There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe how wonderful a visit to this roadside oasis can be. From their freakishly clean bathrooms to their wide selection of jerky. If they don't have it--you don't need it! The place is loaded with every imaginable road trip need. We simply can not pass up a stop at Buc-ee's (except the one in Temple, but that's another story.) Can't wait until they build one in our town! read more

First of all this pertains to the buc-ee's at Florence SC store number 053. Theft and a pattern of thieving. I started using buc-ee's because I like their clean bathrooms and cheap gas but they come with hidden cost namely thieves. Earlier this year when I was trying to pump gas at Buc-ee's my card was stolen. Fortunately I returned home I was able to get all of the charges removed through my bank and have a new card issued. While I was traveling in that direction this way again for Christmas with a new card from a different bank only to find that after I used my card at the pump someone attempted to run up a charge of $125. My new bank did not allow the charges to go through but it was annoying so I locked down my card. I then went about my business only to find that someone had attempted to charge $125 again. So now I will have to order yet another card this is annoying and dangerous if I did not obsessively check on my bank and use alerts they would have robbed me of $250 or drained my account. So now I will have to order yet another card. I can't tell you how stressful this is for someone who is traveling and needs money for hotels and rentals Etc. Once is an incident, twice is unlucky three times as a pattern. I attempted to notify the store via customer service however they do not have customer service only an annoying answering machine. I also attempted to leave them a message on their BBB file, however buc-ee's is not an accredited BBB business. I was a fan of their pear jam and cheap gas, but I will be avoiding them from now on. read more

This place was a mad house!! A serious horde of hundreds swept in and laid siege to this location. Every pump was filled and then there were people waiting. The line for the ladies bathroom was stretched out to the registers. It was elbow to elbow mob of people in here. I'm from Chicago and crowds don't usually bother me, but at one point I was nervous for my family... it was that crowded in here! THE PICS DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!! It's a big Buc-Ees but not the giant one. So when the "Huns" descended on this location it felt like there was just no where to go! Still all the same great stuff that makes Buc-Ees the place to stop... and in general still the great people that help to make it great. But I think I'll avoid this one when it looks like this in the future. read more

My husband likes the black unsweetened and I like the cocoa and honey one. If we're on our way to Houston, we often get a box of different kolaches for next day's breakfast. LULING you rock!!!! OMG Buc-ee's is the mecca of gas station convenience stores. I kind of remember visiting a Bus-ee's in the late 90's but did not remember the sear volume of merchandise that they have in their stores. So of the must have items that you have to grab are listed below but are not limited to these: Pecan Rolls For those that remember those awesome Pecan Rolls that we used to be able to get at your local Stuckey's, well this is a Texas version that is about double the size of the original. There is so much caramel and pecans on these things you might need to have your sugars checked afterwords. Beaver Nuggets These bites of caramel, sugar, and butter-coated corn puffs are Buc-ee's most popular road trip snack, without a doubt. Dr Pepper Icees Texas is the birthplace of the Dr Pepper and  gets plenty of attention here, considering Buc-ee's is known for having one of the biggest-ever fountain soda bars lined with Icee machines and enough options to make a kid giddy. BBQ Counter Known as the Texas Round Up, Buc-ee's barbecue counter is lined with all the good stuff and fixings, including brisket, sliced sausage, and smoked turkey--all of which can be turned into a made-to-order sandwich to take on the go. No need to wait in line for famous pulled pork anymore. Kolaches This Czech pastry is a classic treat found in Texas Hill Country, and Buc-ee's makes it so you do not have to sniff out the secret places to get your fill of the pastry dough filled with sausage and cheese. Jerky Southerners love a dried meat snack, and Buc-ee's jerky section is something any dad would appreciate, with more than a dozen different varieties of Texas-made jerky to choose from. It is a favorite amongst those with a hankering for a handheld snack for the road, especially when paired with the in-house roasted nuts and potato chips fried on location. If you love jerky of any kind, this is the place to stop to get your fix. Homemade Fudge Every day, Buc-ee's fills a display with multiple types of fudge made in-house the old-fashioned way. You can even snag a sample if you ask politely. Manners matter down here, after all. Pair all of these products with their award for Cleanest Bathrooms in America, the world's longest car wash, and true Southern hospitality; and you will never want to leave the "Disney of convenience stores." read more

You cannot Come to texas and not stop here! They have everything you could ever think of! First, you must use the bathroom. You think I'm joking but I'm totally not. They have the cleanest bathrooms for being a gas station. Second, they have the most unique items you can buy. From clothing, to chicken squeaking dog toys, to souvenirs, and so much more. Third, after you are browsing around, now you are ready to tackle the food. Highly recommend getting anything with the bbq. The sliced brisket and sausage wrap are my personal favorites. Shoutout to Patty and the young boy working with her today. I don't like bbq sauce on my sandwich and they kindly made me one without one. They are the real MVP's today! No trip to Texas is complete until you've been to Buc-ee's. From fantastic BBQ, jerky and snacks, to lots of fun junk you shouldn't be buying but do anyway - it's just a lot of fun for the family to go to Buc-ee's. It's got clean bathrooms and decent priced fuel, so let your hair down and open your wallet like you'd do at an amusement park or movie theater and just let the family have some fun exploring & shopping at Buc-ee's. Given the number of times I have come by Buc-ee's and had a great experience, I can't give this place any less than 5 stars! If you're not from Texas or another state with this chain, Buc-ee's is basically a one stop shop for a long road trip. We always comment that there are an insane number of pumps at the Buc-ee's gas station, but it actually makes sense because a good number of them are usually busy. It is super convenient not to have to wait forever to fill up your car. Another benefit to stopping at Buc-ee's is an almost guaranteed clean restroom. The highway signs tell the truth - large, clean restrooms which can be hard to come by. In terms of food, my favorite snack to get from Buc-ee's is their Beaver Nuggets, which are caramel coated corn puffs. They are crispy and easy to eat, which is perfect for the car! The coating makes them sweet but less so in my opinion than something like kettle corn. In the morning I usually pick up one of their sausage, cheese, & jalapeño kolaches, which are about average. The sausage is fairly large, and there is a heavy amount of breading. The apple kolache here is another good one to try - I really like the filling! They have pretty tasty BBQ sandwiches for lunch or dinner. As a dessert, I really like their praline cookies (not sure what they're called) that are usually close to the register. Overall, Buc-ee's is a great stop for gas, a clean restroom, and a satisfying snack if you're driving around Texas. read more
