I usually avoid reviewing fast food and chain restaurants because they tend to ressemble each other. That said, I like to highlight when a company, even a corporate giant, and a specific location, do a good job. This Seguin Starbucks is decent enough for me to come back a few times a year. Coffee and tea are prepared the Starbucks way (on the sweeter side), but the baristas do a good job and their drinks are consistent. I particularly enjoy that I never have to wait very long for my order, whether I order in advance through the app or at the counter directly. This location recently updated its furniture and they now have nice wooden tables and chairs. When it's cold out, they ramp up the heat. Unfortunately, when it's hot outside, they set the A/C to arctic mode, so I never linger too long for fear of turning into an ice cube. I appreciate that Starbucks, in spite of all its shortcomings, tries to innovate by adding new seasonal drinks. They recently added protein drinks to their menu and while they don't yet have a vegan option, it's a step in the right direction. So overall a decent place. Kiddo wanted a strawberry frappe after dinner, so we decided to make a quick stop in the drive-thru. The young lady who took our order was very friendly. Placed our order and pulled up to the window. She made sure to inform hubby that the tip option was there so he had a choice to tip or not (I'll say I'm not too thrilled that Starbucks has implemented this at their stores. Especially stores that you don't have an option to select "no tip". Hubby DID leave a tip, and we waited about 3-4 minutes maybe for my son's frappe. My husband and I went there on April 15th at about 5:25. The service was quick and the cashier was very friendly. The one star is for the drinks themselves. We ordered frappes, one mocha and one caramel. Neither of them had the syrup on the sides or top of the drinks. Hubby asked cashier for caramel and he put some on top and it didn't change the flavor profile. The mocha was just okay and the caramel was horrible. The caramel flavor tasted like watered down milk and it hadn't been blended properly as it had a lot of ice. 5 stars for the cashier and 0 stars for the person that made the drink. This Starbucks location is just off of I-10 and next to Marriott's Towne Place Suites, and directly behind Chili's. While the interior confines are cozy enough to work on your electronic device or network with patrons, the drive-in situation outside is a bit interesting. Some days, it is quick. Yet on others, it can be very, very slow. Either which way, the employees that work here seem to actually enjoy being here, which is always good to see. In addition, the place is just clean all the way around. The product quality? As consistent as the sun coming up in the east, and setting in the west. I was a few days ago at this Starburst and for the most part I was pleased with the visit. It's a very stylish place. There are no complaints about coffee, the only negative is that there was no almond milk. The atmosphere of the New Year, everything is decorated, so it is very festive! Clean, shiny, and new store right off 1-10 at the Hwy 123 and FM 78 exit. I haven't been to a Starbucks in about 7 years. This new store is the only upscale coffee shop outside of downtown and is conveniently located behind a Chiles, and in front of two hotels. I went through the drive though, but I could see inside the store, and it was clean, sleek, and modern. The employees were friendly and professional. I tried their house blend, which I found to be very strong, but bitter and acidic. There was a lingering taste on my pallet for 30 minutes. I'll bet the lattes taste great. I've had some good experiences with Starbucks ground coffee from the store, especially their Verona blends and their French and Italian roasts. I do run them through my Keurig single cup maker with a my K-cup refillable cup. That machine brews an excellent cup, but usually just the darker roasts (French and Italian) come out smooth. There is a local coffee shop in downtown with the local art, musicians, and quirkiness, but when I'm near the interstate, I'll come here. Seeing that I live literally 30 seconds from this location it has become my go to Starbucks. That being said- I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks coffee what so ever and would take Dunkin over them any day. Besides that- I do enjoy their tea and stop there pretty often for an iced green or black tea ( no classic sweetener) or recently their strawberry infused green tea. In general I find their drinks too sweet but taking out the sweeteners makes them decent enough. As far as Starbucks go this is a great location and I find that the workers are always polite and quick. If there is the occasional backup they are always apologetic and remain friendly. That being said, they often close the drive thru seemingly randomly and I find that to be a bit frustrating but I'm assuming it is due to them being under staffed? Who knows. Besides that it is a typical Starbucks location with consistent drinks and friendly service. I'll always be a Dunkin fan when it comes to coffee but as far as tea and the occasional specialty drink ( ombré pink drink, green tea soy latte etc) they're pretty good. read more

This has to by FAR be the worst Starbucks in the entire country. The drive thru wait is always absolutely insane, they run out of stuff far too often, and can't come up with good solutions to either problem, despite the fact that both should have a pretty simplistic solution. When a customer waits for 45 minutes in line to even order at the drive thru because they have a cold and want a specific drink, they should be able to get it. However, the added value of Starbucks for me is a can get the egg bites (I do keto) but they tend to be out of the egg bites when I go on a constant bases.
