Coffee / Latte was good. Lounge area was nice and comfortable but the music was way too loud. It was definitely difficult for the guy who took my order to hear me and for me to hear him. Maybe that's why they didn't get my order correct. I have never had a bad experience here until today. Unfortunately, our experience today was very frustrating. I was brought two items, one of which was mine and the other they thought belonged to my friend, when she actually hadn't ordered it. After we got that sorted out, they brought my friend the wrong item again. Then, when our drinks finally came, one was correct and the other was wrong. Thankfully, my drink was finally made correctly the second time, but by that point there had been several mistakes with our order. I ordered the strawberry pastry with an iced The Dude (vanilla latte). The display of the baked goods were placed on a small 3-tier display that wasn't up for grabs, they get your choices from the back. They were out of the raspberry which was what I initially wanted. From the looks of it, I thought it was going to be flakey, not doughy, or else I wouldn't have gotten it. So basically like hawaiian bread consistency & strawberry chunks in syrup. I was not impressed at all. For one, you can tell they popped it in the microwave. So not only not fresh but the texture was not it. I also wish she would have asked if we wanted it warmed up because I really do not like pastries, cinnamon rolls, muffins, ect. heated up. I wish it was of just fresh strawberries rather than an overly sweet processed "preserve" of it. I tried my mom's chocolate croissant & we both could just taste what would come out of a microwave, plus it was tough to chew. The Dude was okay, nothing to rave about there. $22 for 2 pastries & 2 coffees is outrageous but again we living in quality decline & price increases. I usually like this place. But, today, my friend and I came and we ordered a large blended two rivers with extra caramel, large iced two rivers, one sausage kolache, and one chocolate croissant. Shortly after, they brought us two sausage kolaches. We gave one back. When I went to the counter to give it back, I told them we had one kolache and one chocolate croissant. The barista then grabbed a chocolate muffin and said, "This?" I said no and said it was a chocolate croissant. He gave it to me. Then we got our drinks. Two large blended two rivers. Not one blended one iced. And, mine didn't have the extra caramel. We asked for one iced so we told them. They fixed it. Not a great experience. read more

This is easily one of the coolest coffee shop atmospheres I've experienced. The music was perfectly chill, the disco ball and lighting gave the place such a fun vibe, and there was plenty of comfortable seating to hang out and relax. The coffee was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. You can really tell they enjoy what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. A super cute 80s/90s themed coffee shop! Service was very polite and we didn't have to wait long for our order. The coffees were delicious! I had the Guad which had a lot of espresso which was exactly what I was looking for! The food was also fantastic and you can barely tell the chocolate donut was gluten free! The kolaches are made a in a softer bread than typical kolaches but they were still very good! Would recommend! read more

Matcha was delicious! It was smooth and creamy! Strawberry and cream cheese kolache was to die for! The restaurant vibe was super peaceful and quiet. However the staff woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Every single person working on Saturday morning was not happy. Not one of them smiled or offered to be helpful. We asked questions and it was very cut throat. Considering it was my first time here my friend raved about this place. He was so excited just for the staff to humble him. Love this place! They are always super friendly! My favorite is the iced brown sugar shaken espresso- nice and strong! Our dog loves the pup cups and expects them every time we roll up in the drive thru. The chocolate croissants and the breakfast sandwich are both fantastic! Oh my goodness - the cold foam! This place has some really good coffee, decor, service, atmosphere, a drive-thru, parking... but THE COLD FOAM?! Deeelish, y'all. During a recent River Trip, we were in need of coffee, and we found 2 Rivers on Yelp. Our experience on day one was so good, we returned the next morning before we headed out of town. They do have a punch card system, so on day 1 when we spent nearly $40 on three ice cold brews, 2 kolaches, and a breakfast sandwich, the next day we were able to redeem 2 free large cold brews and simply pay for one iced matcha (with cold foam, of course). Check this place out when in NB. It's a must for cold brew and cold foam fanatics. Tips for improvement: ditch some of the plastic (any ceramic cups for in-cafe drinking?) and straws read more

Went out of our way to visit 2 Rivers instead of the closer option for coffee based on the photos because it looked hip; which definitely feels out of place in a very modest, old timey place like NB. A girlfriend even scoffed as we passed a few coffee places on our way but boy did she eat her humphs once we arrived! Instead of a boo boring menu listed on the wall or a stale brochure, they have a stylized magazine that serves as their list of beverages, giving each seasonal drink a personality that jumps beyond the page. I loved the creativity but some folks that ordered after me that were looking for standard coffee drinks were a bit confused by it, so I understand it might be superfluous for some! I was sold the minute I saw cold foam on the menu and when the gent behind the counter saw my enthusiasm for that item, he suggested their seasonal summer beverage "Coffee & Smokes," which was a flavored cold brew with flavored cold foam (I think it was a vanilla, honey, cinnamon concoction). I don't know what clouds are made of, but if it's this, please give me the earth's largest (reusable) straw! Slurp slurpety slurp. We returned the next day to repeat the heavenly experience and it might have been even better the second time around! Know what I like about coffe places? A good bean selection, simple-but-delicious menu items, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a cool vibe, decent music played at a reasonable volume, and comfortable seating. 2 Rivers has all of these things. Know what I despise about a coffee place? Stay at home moms who won't stay at home, loud clientele who have no respect for other people, infants/toddlers/poorly-behaved children who cannot understand how to comprt themselves in public, and unavailable seating due to too much of the rest of this paragraph. 2 Rivers also has all of these things. That is why they get 2 stars instead of 5. Looks like the secret is out about this once fantastic little spot where I used to love to (quitely) meet with people and get a little work done. But it's like the old saying goes: basic breeders ruin everything with no remorse. Now I know why the drive thru line is always so long. read more

Fell in love with this coffee shop as soon as I walked in. It has the cutest aesthetics and set up inside. Very comfy and cozy atmosphere. There are plenty of tables and couches for sitting. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the 2 rivers which is their signature drink. It's a iced coffee with white chocolate and caramel. I haven't tried anything else but I can say this will probably be my fav from there. They have a variety of drinks from lattes to teas as well as homemade items such as muffins and kolaches. Prices are also very reasonable. We made the drive from San Antonio just to check it out and we definitely will be returning. read more

What a cute hidden place in New Braunfels! We stopped by on our way home from Gruene, and I'm so glad we did! Tucked away in a seemingly bland strip mall is this hidden gem coffee shop. Inside is nothing short of cool vibes, almost like an art installation! There are so many beautiful plants, midcentury modern decor, records, and old school box TVs playing old music videos. It's truly a nostalgic feeling and I love that. To match the great surroundings is delicious coffee! The menu is super fun with craft coffee creations like The Dude and The 2 Rivers signature drink. I went with the L.A. Lavender with oat milk, YUM. Creamy, floral, and smooth. The coffee was great quality. And good news - it has a drive through! The staff was also so kind. Okay so, I love that 2 Rivers is a local coffee shop serving up some of the best brews in town. I always try something different when I come in because the menu items are so different! Today I'm having the LA LAVENDER iced which is sensational! The lavender is not overpowering and the honey adds that touch of sweetness that you need. Next time I'm going to try the pour over coffee because I've never had it. The vibe is very chill and easy going, definitely a nice place to come get some work done or just chill and read a book. Stayed at an Airbnb right down the road for a couple months before we moved away. We frequented 2 rivers coffee for a while and loved everything about it. The dude coffee and mint mocha are our drinks and pretty sure they've made us too many of their delicious little breakfast sandwiches on croissants. The staff is so friendly. My husband forgot about Mother's Day this year and went by 2 rivers to get me a coffee to say sorry!
