If that's you, you'll enjoy as well. Definitely a place I would come back to again.

Once we arrived inside we loved the homey vibe and the various seating throughout the small home. They also had games and various things for my 2 year old to keep himself occupied while waiting. They had various selections for coffee and various drink options as well. But we were there for the coffee since it was a little early. I ordered "Cowboy like Me" which was a Cold brew, double shot of espresso, oat milk, and simple syrup. I also ordered a cookie and croissant. The price was decent and the coffee was good. I am more excited to come back at a later time to try their drink options. But it was overall a decent experience.

This place has a great vibe--it's a little hip and a fun spot to just hang out. We ordered a cheesecake in a jar, along with a couple of cheesecake slices, and everything was amazing. The girl working there was super friendly and walked me through all of the options they had available. Her recommendations made it even harder to choose because everything looked so good! When we're back in the area, we'll definitely be stopping by for another sugar fix. Highly recommend for any cheesecake lover!

I normally get the strawberry matcha latte hot, and they do a good job sweetening it with the syrups they use. Still, it tasted scrumptious and even though a hot drink would have been preferred (especially with the rainy day that was happening).

My Must‑Stop Coffee Spot in Gruene…read more Gruene Coffee Haus is my go‑to spot every time I'm in Gruene, and since I live close by, it's an easy stop that never disappoints. The location is perfect, the vibe is cozy, and it's one of those places that just becomes part of your routine. They offer all the standard drinks along with great specialty options -- lattes, teas, smoothies -- and everything is consistently good. The service is friendly, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for such a popular local shop. They also feature some amazing coffee beans, including my absolute favorites: Texas Pecan and Bourbon Streusel Cake. And if you want them ground, they'll do it for you on the spot. The shop itself is small, so it fills up pretty quickly, and their assorted pastries tend to go fast too -- but honestly, that just shows how loved this place is.

The espresso frequently tastes old/burnt, they use WAY too much sweetener, or forget something like the whip or my foam top. It's rare that it's too bad to drink but definitely annoying enough that I avoid this location if possible. Again, I'm obviously drinking it (I paid for it so I'm going to) but it's just disappointing to pay $5 for a coffee for it not to be what I wanted.

So basically like hawaiian bread consistency & strawberry chunks in syrup. I was not impressed at all. For one, you can tell they popped it in the microwave. So not only not fresh but the texture was not it. I also wish she would have asked if we wanted it warmed up because I really do not like pastries, cinnamon rolls, muffins, ect. heated up. I wish it was of just fresh strawberries rather than an overly sweet processed "preserve" of it. I tried my mom's chocolate croissant & we both could just taste what would come out of a microwave, plus it was tough to chew.
