Ok, I thought I could eat pizza seven days a week, but now I want Bubs Subs every day. Great subs, I'm hooked!

I just wanted to pass along an experience that I had a couple of days ago. My wife and I really enjoy the subs and now I have to say I enjoy the customer attention there too. I was going there to get diner and I had my son with me, we were standing in line and had already ordered and I realized I left the coupon in the car. I asked the man taking the money if I really needed the coupon to get the price, fully accepting to pay full price and I was okay with that. It was my fault I forgot, I just didn't want to get out of line and go get it. Well the attendant offered to follow me to the car and get the coupon after giving me the discounted price, I said yes and thanked him very much. Long story short, they made my meal cheaper and made the experience easier than they needed too. I appriciate that, especially now that I have kids. read more

Hands down the best sub sandwiches in the area! Im the type of person that when I eat at a restaurant I normally find one thing I like and just stick with that every time I return. Bubs is one of the rare places that I have a hard time deciding what to get each time I stroll in because there are so many great sandwiches to choose from. The Italian beef is outstanding. The Club Bub (Roast Turkey & Ham with Bacon) is my favorite toasted sub. If you are looking for a cold option the Americano with Krakus ham is fantastic. Just finished an "El Nino" at Bub's Subs. I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Beef, pepper jack cheese, homemade HOT giardiniera on a Gonella roll... Heaven. If you want a GOOD sammich, you'll find Bub's Subs behind McAllisters. You go once...and you'll be back. read more

I really liked Jersey Mikes when they opened up. Then BUBS SUBS opened. Now I don't go to Jersey Mikes anymore! The sandwiches here are unreal. The bread is fantastic. And they LOAD up the meat and all the fixings you want. I get the ex large size- and have trouble finishing it! The guys who work here are all great too. This place is a real treat!! read more

Quality ingredients & a friendly staff aren't enough. The subs are way overpriced. Three extra large were $39. The customer seating area was dirty inside & out. Wanted to love this place, but just can't recommend it. So much potential though, so will probably give them another chance. read more

Saw Bubs on Chicago's Best and needed to try one. We had the Cheezy Beef and Godfather with Bub's signature giardinera on both. The bread was awesome with a crispy crust and soft inside. Both subs had generous portions of meat and toppings. The giardinera has just the right level of spiciness - not so hot that you lose the flavors of the sandwich. Pricing is reasonable for the quality. Glad we made the drive up to try it. read more

I frequent this establishment. I have tried every sub on the menu, including some that aren't on it. I have never had one I didn't enjoy. They only use the highest quality ingredients. The staff is very friendly, and make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is very laid back, typically with good classic rock playing in the background. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent sandwich in the area. Make sure to take a pint of their homemade giardiniera home with you! I put it on everything. They basically go to next door to caputos for all ingredients! the homemade gardienra is just CAPUTOS Gardienra. you can get the same sandwich AT Caputos deli for a 6 inch for $.450 foot long for 7.50. they charge way to much when you can get the same thing they have for a much cheaper price. Only thing worth getting you cant get cheaper at caputos is the Beef sandwich Dont get me wrong the subs are delicious, but when you can get the same exact thing for half the price next door its just common sense read more

When we first moved out here, we were looking for a good sub shop and read a lot of positive reviews about Bubs, so we decided to try it. The reviews were right - they have the best sandwiches and the employees are always very nice and friendly when you walk in. Great subs! I'm glad we stopped in. The bread is definitely better than the other chain and local sub shops. At $11 their largest subs are pricey, but it'll definitely fill you up and is worth it. The dining area can get cramped when they're crowded, but being busy is a good thing. They do lose a star for not having cheddar cheese. read more

This place was definitely 5 stars when they first opened and when the owner was there every day. The bread is delicious. The service is great, but the sandwiches just aren't the same. I don't know if it's because they use a scale now and less meat, or if they changed the brand of lunch meat. I'll still go there when I have a taste for a sub. PRO's: The food is very good and the staff is very nice. Overall I've had good experiences here. CON's: To me the pricing is expensive and the food prepping isn't the fastest service in the world--but perhaps I've always been there during busy times. If you can wait a few more minutes and don't mind paying a bit more then this is a good choice. read more

Pretty good subs! So many to choose from, our first time in here. We didn't know what to pick. The girl who made our sandwiches was sweet and explained everything to us first timers. They were a bit pricey, but I realized when we got home this was a huge sub! Def love the items in the menu and plan to return. They make their own sauces homemade! Delish. read more

Went there for the first time today.... had the El nino. Delicious! Staff is super duper friendly!!!!!!! I WILL BE BACK to try something with turkey. This used to be a quiznos, so your getting similiar sandwiches from here (big and toasty). Guys working there were really friendly, greeting everyone that came in. They apologize if your waiting and they're helping someone else (not necessary, but appreciated). Great sandwiches, I had a hot and cold one. This is my first review on Yelp. This place deserves it! Fantastic subs every time!!! There is no better sub place than Bubs Subs! Dominick and his team are personable and deliver exceptional service(which you don't find anywhere anymore). The giardinera is so good and love that's its homemade. My favorite sub: *The Godfather*. The bread: Freshly baked daily...enough said! My wife just tried the homemade ranch today on her sub and said it added a great taste and was the best sub she ever had. The service was great, staff was friendly, my issue was the quality of the meat. I know they are known for their Italian beefs, but I had a turkey sub. The turkey quality was sub-par at best. This place is pricier than subway or firehouse subs. But it's worth the extra $. The bread is fresh and so is the deli. They're not greedy they really stuff your sandwich with whatever you want. And the large is way bigger than you can imagine. I ordered a large since I usually get a large at subway and it was way bigger. I took the other half home. Definitely recommend! read more

We went to Bubs Subs for the first time on Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch based on other Yelp reviews. This place was so good, we went back again the next day!! All of their sauces are homemade. Everything is fresh. If you like spicy, you have to try the El Nino italian beef sandwich. It is so good, it's sinful! Even my kids' plain ham and american cheese sub was excellent. Service is so friendly and accommodating. We are so excited to have finally tried Bubs because it is by far the best sub joint in the county! read more
