Choosing which lobster or yellowtail from the ice counter you want them to prepare, and how you want it prepared, is a fun part of the dining experience for us. Occasionally they have hog snapper or another fresh catch available. The fried lobster tail was fantastically seasoned with a little kick, and I've never had it prepared this way, chopped up into bite-sized pieces. Very filling and we could have shared one, but we still managed to devour both tails and left very full and satisfied. Each tail, including one side, was about $40 - but market price items vary based on size and weight of what's available that day. There are also plenty of less expensive options on the menu. One of my favorites is the yellowtail sandwich. And if you get there before 7:00pm you can order some oysters and lobster croquettes from the happy hour menu. Captain Jim's is a casual and comfortable restaurant with marine decor where the food is the star. Service is always friendly, helpful, and attentive.

You walk in and immediately feel that local, unpretentious energy that's been missing from a lot of the scene. Do I love that it's on Biscayne? Not really. But the food more than makes up for it. For a bar-style environment, the food is consistently very good. Not just "good for a bar" ... like its actually good. The burger is a must (im pescatarian but my friend said it was delicious!) and their Eggs Benedict at brunch is easily one of my favorites in the area. Pair it with a Bloody Mary and you're set. their happy hour pricing is refreshingly reasonable, which is rare around here. I was talking to one of the bartenders and found out even their bread is made in-house. That kind of consistency and care, especially at these price points, is not easy to maintain and you can feel it in the food. It seems that their leadership (owner or manager, not totally sure) has always been present when I've gone and brings a great energy to the space. It trickles down to the staff and the overall vibe. You feel welcomed!!! I this is the kind of place that deserves real support. It's local, it's consistent, it's affordable, and it actually feels like a community spot -- something Miami desperately needs more of.

While driving along Biscayne Boulevard, I searched Apple Maps for nearby brunch options, and Pinch Kitchen appeared just two blocks ahead of us. We were greeted with a big smile and warm welcome by Jonathan who also happened to be our server. The restaurant is small and quaint but the staff is very friendly and attentive. We started with the Focaccia Bread which was really delicious and I was told that it was made in-house so a big thumbs up to freshly baked bread of any kind! The drinks were really good too, I enjoyed an Espresso Martini which was yummy. For my meal I tried the Pasta Pomodoro, which was perfectly al dente and again, SUPER Delicious. My husband had the Pinch Burger and requested it Medium Rare. It was cooked to perfection. Sadly, we were much too full to try any desserts. Next time I'll start with dessert and work my meal backwards! LOL

I entered this establishment to purchase food for my granddaughter and her friend. I asked for the lemon pepper to be on the side for one order. After paying, a second cashier asked me if I wanted lemon pepper. When I told her I had asked for one on the side, she gave me attitude and said I would have to pay for that. I asked why there was a charge for what was supposed to be. One would have thought that I asked for her next born child. She was so rude that had to ask what I did to deserve such attitude. She then cursed at me and said I needed to make up my mind. At that point I told her I had no interest in arguing with a child, I am 63, and that her customer service skills needed to be worked on. Her energy was so negative that a Spanish (only) speaking lady understood what was going on. When her daughter asked her, in Spanish, she was able to tell her based on energy alone. I did not mean to write a dissertation, but the energy coming from the 2 cashiers was the worst I have ever experienced and I will NEVER visit this location EVER again. To make matters even worse, the young cashier followed us out of the store and continued to say unkind things to us. May God bless her anyway. My Sister had her own negative experience and will write her own review. Seeing the overall rating already on this site, I have to question if the owners really care about the level of customer service in this store. The worst EVER.....

The ambiance was really solid and the service was great. Our server was friendly and gave some good recommendations. For food, I ordered the birria quesadilla and the Voodoo Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. Both were really good, but the Voodoo Cajun pasta was definitely my favorite. It had a nice Cajun kick and the chicken and shrimp combo worked perfectly together. Super flavorful and honestly one of the better pasta dishes I've had at a place like this. The birria quesadilla was also really good crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also tried two beers that were recommended, including an IPA, and both were great choices. If you're into beer, they obviously have a huge selection so it's a good place to try something new. Overall, great food, great drinks, great service, and a really good atmosphere. World of Beer 1 star…read moreand that's only because the servers were kind. I stopped by World of Beer yesterday and honestly... it was a disappointment from start to finish. The girls working the floor were friendly and doing their best, but the problems here go way beyond them. This feels like a corporate issue, not a staff issue. The food was cooked in seed oils, which already kills the quality and flavor. You can taste the heaviness and the cheapness. For a place that markets itself as a craft‑beer spot with elevated bar food, that's unacceptable. Then the check came and that's where it got worse. Corporate is nickel and diming customers with extra charges, little add‑ons that don't go to the servers and don't improve the experience. It feels sneaky, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even walk out. The staff is paying the price for decisions they didn't make. They're trying to be nice, but the system they're working under is broken. Overall: Good people, terrible corporate practices, low quality cooking oils, and a bill padded with nonsense. Not worth it.
