This place is a pleasant surprise. Not sure why the rating was so low but glad we decided to give it a visit. The interior is clean and spacious, decorated in white with greeneries. Definitely not your regular chippy joint. My husband insisted on a salmon fish n chips. I would rather go for traditional but they didn't have codfish. I was wary about salmon for fish n chips because salmon is awful if overcooked. To my surprise, the fish came out very tender and moist. The fries was delicious. We got a small side of Israeli salad, which was mostly chopped tomato and cucumber. Quite refreshing with the fried food. Again, don't expect the regular chippy sides like mushy peas. I used to love ordering from this eatery. The service and food quality is not what it once was. I received a completely salty Israeli salad, burnt home fries and egg shells in my scramble. Not to mention the woman with the rude attitude and lack of customer service. I entered the restaurant (newly renovated and smells good) no one at the counter but I hear two women speaking. I jingle my keys as I walked about waiting for someone to come to the counter. Then I finally rang the bell, the woman came out, chastised me and then returned to the other staffer in the kitchen to complain in Creole that I rang the bell. Just not a pleasant experience from the service to the food. This place has been here for a couple years, so it has sentimental memories for me, so I give it 3 stars. read more

The takeout was delicious and better than expected. I ordered their popular fish wrap and fries. I picked fried cod as my choice in fish and they add their coleslaw which is very tasty. I'm not even a fan of coleslaw and liked it a lot. The wrap is an excellent portion and for dessert got the fried Oreos. They we're definitely a nice way to end my meal. Just can't saw anything really good about the fish and chips, it's the only thing I have tried, went traditional Cod. And both where soggy, greasy, smelly. I got it Togo and ate it in my car, big mistake, my car stunk for 2 weeks after. Putting aside the poor quality of the food preparation, they do not know how to prepare fish for fish and chips the sauces were something else. This business is horrible... It looks nice and clean on the outside, but the food... In particular, the cod and fish and chips was less than satisfying... It's basically dipped in cornmeal and fried in old grease...very small portion. Honestly, the coleslaw was the best part of the meal. Went for early dinner. The place is clean and the bathrooms are clean. This is a kosher dairy place. I was with my family. We ordered an individual pizza which was good and homemade. We also ordered 3 cod fish and chips. We had our choice of several types of fish, fries and a side salad. Note: the cole slaw was delicious.
