Even with one small miscommunication, likely more due to my inability to count - it was everything I could have hoped for. Definitely will be booking another event with them and hopefully be able to have Rachelle again!

Oh, this place! I can't and won't stop praising about this place. Have you ever felt so stressed in…read morelife that you are just tired of being an adult, and you just need an escape or want to be a kid again? Crafty Tomato is THE PERFECT PLACE for such escape! I was at the studio for 3 hours TWO different times, and all I did was let my brain go blank and paint and create with air clay. The vibe was so chill that I wish I could just stay there forever! The owner, Charlotte, is super sweet and was always open to chat. The most challenging part was really just mixing the right paint color to match the easily recognizable Sanrio pink and blue. When I got the color right, I was soooo happy and as if the dark clouds above my head were gone! Charlotte came to check on my artwork and I got a thumbs up! I just love this place so much and I will definitely come back again for some more art therapy!

You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.

I walked on in and the kind instructor checked me in. The class started a few minutes late because we waited on a few people to arrive. The class was difficult as we had never done embroidery before. The instructor let us know at the start that this project was something that we were not going to finish during the 2 hour class. I wish the website would've mentioned that because if we had known, we would not have taken the class. We went home disappointed with our unfinished projects and I already forgot how to even begin....... I barely made a dent when in the class as it was struggle to grasp the concept right away. The instructor was nice, helpful, and patient though and walked around assisting as much as she could.
