I have brought my small dog Penny to this groomer many times, and I've never had a problem, until today. I made a 9:30 AM appointment for her, and when I called at 12:30 to see if she was ready, I was told it would be between 1:30 and 2:30 before she was ready. I saw stars! Finally, they called me at 2:15 to tell me she was ready. I told the woman how upset I was having to wait so long, and I got a line of excuses. My daughter, who promise to pay for Penny's visit, was charged 76.00 beside! My dog is a Papillon and Pomeranian mix. She is not large. I will never go there again! read more

I started taking my 4 year briard to Sara a few months ago. She is amazing and suggested I keep him on a monthly grooming schedule. His coat has never looked better. My dog get nervous but since Sara starting working with him, I saw an improvement in his behavior. I highly recommend bubbles and bark. read more

I called many places that told me they were no longer doing cat grooming. I was thrilled to get an immediate appointment at Bubbles and Barks. The price was $92 with taxes and it's far cheaper than I paid the last two times. I get my cat groomed purely due to matting so I'm not looking for a stylistic cut as I know my cat is very difficult to groom. read more

This is Tonawanda, NY. Not sure why this shows as CA. Where do I begin and avoid being too verbose; I'm a details girl because that's where the wisdom lies so bear with me. This was my first time to this groomer and I made an apt. with Sarah on a recommendation. I was in the market because my groomer of two years has continued to raise prices making the cost for two toy breeds unconscionable, but they always looked great, and I was too afraid to go elsewhere. I contacted this place for pricing; they had cut the breed before and were familiar, and I was advised if I brought the special shampoo and finishing spray it would save money. I needed proof of rabies; no problem. I wrote a note outlining what I wanted, included my phone number in case there were any questions. Shampoo, finishing spray and shot records were in tow. My husband showed up at 745 for an 8am apt and texted me that the doors were locked and no one was there and he'd been waiting. It was now 820am. I checked my phone, there was a text at 0745 indicating a family issue and she needed to reschedule. Ok, I get it, things happen. We rescheduled for a week later, same day of the week, same time. I had my dog walker pick them up and she sent me photos. Right away I noticed my female was all choppy in the front and looked like she was wearing a clown collar with ruffles. I reserved opinion until I got home. When I got home, I was angry. They were uneven, the finishing spray was not used, and the shampoo bottle was not closed causing it to spill out all over the paperwork and bag. I reached out to the person that did the grooming with my dissatisfaction. She indicated she used their finishing spray because they had the same thing. Strange, because I'd always used it on them and they smelled nothing like it. I'm calling BS! She indicated I could bring them back for a touch up. That was not an option; if any more fur would be removed it would have made it worse and taken away from the look of the breed. The other owner (also Sarah) called (why wasn't a phone call made at the outset?) and indicated she would like to make it right and to call her back. I phoned back and left a voice mail. Two weeks later, no return calls. We're done here! Total lack of professionalism, integrity, and poor grooming skillset. I cannot recommend and would advise you to look elsewhere. In looking at other reviews, there is clearly of pattern of this. Shame on me for not checking reviews first; that's on me. read more

Please DO NOT take your cat there to get groomed. They may be average for dogs but why would they make an appointment to groom a cat and surround the cat in a room full of barking dogs and then blame the cat for being too stressed to brush or cut them. Are you kidding me??!! Obviously they have no compassion, knowledge or experience with cats but yet made 3 appointments for 3 different cats (all different days) in my family with all the same outcome - an unfinished, "half done" job. All these cats have very sweet personalities and are indoor only. They have NEVER displayed any aggressive hissing or swatting but that was the reason given for not finishing all three grooming jobs. One cat uncooperative could be understandable, but all 3 cats with the same outcome on different days and all surrounded by dogs. Other groomers have never mentioned this behavior. Trying to find a cat groomer that is not such a long distance from our homes was our hope and deeply regretting it!! read more

My OES was scheduled for a grooming appointment that we waited for 2-3 weeks. He was getting his summer cut down, he had a good deal of hair to cut, and he was matted in spots. I was very anxious to have him groomed. Dashwood is 11 years old and has hip/knee joint issues. Groomers give him rests in between grooming sessions, so he does not stand for long periods of time. When I dropped him off, I was told he would be approximately 4-4.50 hrs. I received a p/c from the owner stating she had left him unfinished and would I bring him back on Friday to be finished. She claimed she gave him too many breaks for rest and could not finish him because he was an old dog who needed to go home and rest. I said Ok, I left to pick him up, expecting him to be in terrible pain. When they brought him out, he looked like he had been groomed with an electric knife. I was very upset and called to complain to the owner and she continued to refer to him as an old dog and we got nowhere fast. I paid $100.00 on the bill, before I saw him the balance was I believe was 11.00, to be paid on Friday. I forget to get his brand-new bottle of special shampoo from the vet at 30.00. After 5 days of looking absolutely ridiculous I took him to Pet Smart to be finished. THAT TOOK HER 15 MINUTES TO FINISH HIM. I paid a discounted amount of $55.00. They were very sympathetic to our SITUATION. In total I spent $185.00 for his hair cut. I never felt comfortable there, honestly, they are not at all friendly to customers, all business. Who knows how the really treat the animals when we are not there! I should have known better when Dash was hesitant to go in. Keep looking elsewhere, do not even give them a chance. Bad businesspeople should not be allowed to advantage of people and their hard-earned money. Apparently they get their money pretty easy. read more

We bring our dog here occasionally and yes, it should probably be more often. she is a small dog who is very timid and scared. We get the same report every time about how scared she is and shaky. When I picked her up today I was shocked to see she had a half hair cut, some nails cut and nothing in her face cut. They showed us videos of my dog flipping around scared and this is why they couldn't finish the cut. I get it.... but why charge a full $80 for the cut then? I understand it was a very difficult time but you still charged me as if she was fully groomed and all nails cut?! Insane. I'm disgusted and embarrassed. I'll never take my dog here again. read more

I like bubbles and barks because of the atmosphere and vibe I get from this place. It always feels personal and you feel like family and feel like I can trust them with my dog. I have a white dog so everyone he comes out he's is so clean and pure white. The groomers do a very good job cutting his hair around his eyes very short (to prevent from tear staining) and usually do a good job cutting his hair short when I ask them ( in the summer). I was expecting them to be a little more knowledgeable about how to keep his face white and from staining and when asking them they couldn't give me any advice. As groomers I was kind of expecting them to know a little more about that kind of stuff. Been bringing my dog here for two years now and am pretty happy with the end result. read more

Terrible experience took my six month old doll face Persian cat to be cut ,nails clip. When I picked him up he was not completely done. The girl told me she couldn't complete him because he was getting upset. He looked terrible and I really don't think she clipped his nails because they were still sharp. this is the worst place I've ever been to not take your cat there I don't think the girl knows what she's doing. We had our Rosebud and Buster groomed at Bubbles & Barks on Friday, 8/4/17. They look and smell wonderful! Very professional yet friendly staff that took excellent care of our small dogs. Rosebud is a 10-year-old female black and white Pekinese/Shih-Tzu mix and Buster is a 6-year-old male gold and white full Shih-Tzu. Buster has had crate phobia from the beginning and does not tolerate being crated well at all. The staff did not crate either dog and they were well cared for. We can not afford to have our fur babies groomed often, but will be having them groomed here from now on. It did not let me give a rating of 4.5 stars which is what I wanted. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars was that we were not made aware when I scheduled the grooming that they only accepted cash or check, no credit cards. I think that should be made clear, especially to new customers like us. However, I understand the reasoning for that. It keeps their overhead costs down so they an charge a more reasonable fee for the quality grooming they provide. As stated earlier, we will come again and make sure we budget our cash flow so our dogs can get another excellent grooming. read more

I've had two experiences here... 1 not so bad, the other was a little unfortunate. The first experience was a dry wash (due to unwillingness of cat) and cut with which I was happy with. The pricing was around $55 which I thought was a little expensive, but maybe a necessary evil. My cat was well trimmed and smelled great. The second experience was not so nice. I was told upon arrival my cat was the sweetest cat they had worked with all week, they gave him no problems whatsoever. I was charged $70 for the wash and cut. When I asked why...no one could really tell me why the price was so high and why I paid a different price the previous occasion. When I took my cat home, I noticed (without my permission) they had given him a "lion cut" I asked for a low cut but to leave his head and feet alone (same as the last time I went). His lion cut was unfortunate but was something I could have gotten over because my cat was still adorably funny to laugh at (sorry snickers).in addition to this, His cut was horribly uneven. That part was not so funny. Two months later, I'm still noticing just how uneven his hair was actually cut. Most of his hair has grown back to an un-lion like length but he still has a really large area on his left side that is visably uneven. I will not be returning to bubbles and barks because I don't think the quality is worth the price. read more

My family has been going to get our dogs hair done for years here . Evelyn was the old owner before Sarah took over . I have never ever had a problem here until Sarah took over . Sarah was so rude and disrespectful to my wife it was unbelievable . The problem is she doesn't even realize what she did and how she acts . It's quite obvious that she has zero people skills and thinks she can talk and treat people anyway she wants . It's very unfortunate that Sarah has such horrible customer service . I took my lill baby to get groomed last week and, the groomer was very nasty towards me and my dog. She vocalized that she had trouble grooming my dog, but neglected to tell me that she had cut my dog under her arms and now has two huge blood blusters. I will never bring my dog back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. I have never experienced such bad customer service, along with horrible, and mean behavior towards my dog. I will never go back and if you get a girl that is tall with dark hair and piercings, run for the hills. :( read more

I love Bubbles N Barks! My dogs enjoy getting their haircuts (major self-confidence boost). While there are many options in the area, we've managed to keep our loyalty there for the better part of ten years. We use to go to their old location across the street, back in the day. In their latest location, the grooming space is quite large with a lot more cages, especially for bigger-sized dogs. I have a Golden Retriever and a terrier. It can cost a bit of money but my dogs absolutely love it! When we pick them up, with straggly hairs cut and small bits of hair out of the eyes, they're loving life! The girls that take care of the pups have always been kind and always willing to adjust how they do things to fit with the needs of your dog. Whatever you find your dog needs, they will definitely do! I'm so happy to have such a great groomer for the poochies. I'll be going there for years to come. read more

My dogs have always loved it here. With it being so small, the staff make sure to remember your name (and the dog's), and take good care of them when you leave. We had a Siberian husky and he went here often for his bath just to get his undercoat extracted. They LOVED him, and were gentle with him being that he had hip dysplasia. Our lab doesn't even need grooming, but we have brought him a few times just for a good bath because we know they are the best. The prices are moderate, not too cheap or pricey, and my pups always have left smelling beautifully and tails a' waggin. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I brought my long haired cat for a trim and some shaving where he had some difficult to get to hair balls. I dropped him off early in the morning and picked him up around noon. They did a wonderful job. It looks adorable now, smells wonderful and seems so much happier now that he has less fur to have brushed. I paid around $40-50 for the one pet, which seems a little pricey overall, but not for this area (I called around). My only negative would be they don't take credit, but that was my fault for not reading the sign on the door and on the counter. horrible experience! When I first went through the door I had to wait for the woman at the desk to finish texting before she even addressed me. I was there to have my 10lb. dogs nail's trimmed and I told her that she scared (rescue dog) and got a little feisty with the vet when she did them and that I had to hold her. the owner said it was fine and took the dog in back. 5 seconds later I hear her call the dog a little sh_t, drop her to the floor then she opens the door and tells me to get her out of there because she blew her anal glands and was stinking up her place!!! what?! I thought I was at a GROOMER who was experienced. this place is a joke under this new owner. we went straight to PetSmart's Banfield and there was no problem what so ever, nails were trimmed in less than a minute and they cleaned her up. Definitely would not recommend this establishment! Unprofessional to the extent you wonder if teenagers are running the place. Wish i could share the screenshots of the pm from Facebook between one of the employees and i. May have even been the owner for all i know. Took my pet to get groomed here about 6 months ago. They completely ignored what i requested and butchered my animals furs. Never again. Unfriendly staff. Seemed only concerned with taking my money and the rushing off to the next like they are running a factory assembly line. read more

I have been taking my dog to Petsmart for grooming since we got him. I finally tried Bubbles & Barks, and I am quite pleased. My dog smelled great after his bath, and his coat was extremely soft and shiny. My dogs nails were nice and short, and smoothed out nicely. The shop was clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. The prices are comparable to Petsmart, and I'd rather support a local business. Definitely going back when bath time comes around again! read more
