Memories are always priceless and can never be bought! Bought my tickets ahead of time. There is parking right out front and gated so your car is safe, they have security guards as well. You can stay a long as you like when walking through no time limit! Which is cool because I know a lot of places are in a time limit. We had a ball! Saw so many cool things and had such a fun time. Bubble Planet was PERFECT for my daughter. She's very sensitive to sound and certain textures, so I'm always careful with activities, but this place was a hit. Her favorite part was right at the beginning, where the sea animals were swimming on the floor and she could step on them to make them go faster. She also loved the bubble pit, the bubbles everywhere, and the VR experiences. Everything felt fun and gentle, not overwhelming. It also wasn't super crowded, which made the whole experience even better. The environment was calm enough for her to enjoy herself without getting overstimulated, and I truly appreciated that. If you have a child with sensory sensitivities or just want something fun and different to do, I definitely recommend Bubble Planet. We had a great time and would absolutely go again. read more

7/19/25 Bubble Planets is described as an immersive experience where bubbles are reimagined with big illusions, ball pits, VR experience at $5 additional per person while sitting in a bubble, and finish with a semi-bubbles room at the end. (Wasn't really operational) Our group of friends wanted to try this experience out. We would recommend it for children for 10 and under. Since there were 12 of us, we opted for group rates which brought it down just a tad. My teenager was board but my 10 year old was down to just take in the moment and I was able to take looks of pics of my lil man. Great photo opportunities for little kids. The string lights is nice but tough to do without others walking around and having backgrounds. Bubble Planet is an interactive exhibition of sight, sound and touch with bubbles as the theme. The venue is at Henry Kaiser Center of the Arts near Laney College in Oakland. Its about five rooms of fun for the family, especially with young kids with sensory needs. Expect to spend maybe 1 hr max here. 1. Cost is just below $100 for 2 adults and a child, with parking in their outdoor lot. 2. The first room is an interactive light show with the under the sea theme with digital sealife moving all over the floors. 3. The second room was a huge, balloon-filled pit that you'll have to navigate through. 4. The third room was a half-dome like igloo with cool sound reflections. I guess this is like a mini-version of Las Vegas Sphere. 5. There was one gigantic room with a bathtub filled with plastic balls, maybe 3-foot deep. You can literally swim in it. Young kids and toddlers need extra care. Out-of-shape adults may need help getting up if they insist on doing backstrokes. 6. The VR room costs $5 for a 5-10 min show. The rotating chairs were cool and adds to the experience. 7. They have another room with strings of lights that alternate colors and mirrors. Great for selfies but stay on the path - its not a maze and don't touch the lights! 8. The last room had actual bubble machines but otherwise nothing special. Definitely recommend this as a fun distraction for young kids. I enjoyed this much more than Museum of Ice Cream and the Van Gogh exhibit in SF. read more

Buahahahha a fun way to kill 1-2 hours if you want to burn $35/person. My partner and I had the day off and found ourselves near Lake Merritt. Bubble Planet is the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts' latest installation. There are 10 or so rooms. Sprinkled throughout are educational panels about bubbles, domes, spheres-- thematic of course lol. I think some of these are kinda cheap IG-selfie setups, but the two rooms my partner and I LOVED were the ball pit (THIS IS THE BIGGEST BALL PIT I'VE SEEN ANY INSTALLATION DO????) and the pulsing hanging lights. We easily spent 30+ minutes in each. Bring hand sanitizer! Since we visited on a weekday afternoon, there weren't any crowds or issues with rooms being backed up. Ample space to enjoy and explore, take pictures. Staff are polite and helpful. Ends in a few interactive installations and a gift shop. Wonder what the next installation will be? read more

We were among the first visitors to Bubble Planet. We visited on the first Friday it was open and were one of a few groups that evening. When visiting pop ups, you're usually battling crowds so it was great to have the space to ourselves for some good photo opps. The path takes you into various colorful rooms/installations featuring bubbles of various sizes and textures. We spent about an hour enjoying the sights and sounds. Great fun for the family. My 4 year old had a blast here in all of the interactive rooms. We came in for the first opening at 9:30 on Saturday and it was not very crowded. So, I suggest getting early so you can spend more time in each of the rooms without it getting too crowded. Check in was a bit disorganized. The staff did not direct the line to where we had to go and it was a bit of a cluster f*ck. Most people had bought tickets online but we had to purchase at the door and directions were confusing. Some of the children were not well supervised by parents and were running around posing a hazard for younger children. Some of the rooms are very immersive and a young child can get hurt if other children are rough housing. This would've been more dangerous if it had more crowded. read more

I went to Bubble Planet with my friend because we were in the area with nothing to do! It was pretty fun even though it was for kids and we got to bring our cameras inside. The good: This is definitely a place to take pics and do content if you're in to that sort of thing. The rooms are definitely set up for that type of vibe. I'm not a content creator but could see why they would love the rooms. Kids would have a fantastic time!! The best room was the virtual reality and maze of lights but DON'T TOUCH the lights! The bad: Not too much. When these type of exhibits come to town I never have gone for fear of wasting money. I went because a friend is celebrating her birthday and I wanted to support her in that. Did I have fun...yes! Did I take pics...yes! Was it a waist of money...yes! My biggest enjoyment was reading the informational posts on the wall about bubbles and spheres! When I hear bubbles I think of blowing bubbles outside in the summer or splashing (at this age more like soaking) in a tub full of bubbles. There were no "real" bubbles until you got to the end of the exhibit. That should of been the high point of the visit. It was a HUGE let down. SPOILER ALERT.......The last room pumped out bubbles from a machine. Everyone was thinking it was going to be a room full of bubbles to play in. Unfortunately, it pumped out a 3 second burst of bubbles that floated to the floor and that was it. When you walk out of that room you're in the retail shop for other things to do, see and purchase. If you decide to go dress comfortable. The rooms get warm with all the lights. Wear or bring a pair of socks. One of the rooms allows you to get in plastic "bubbles" but you have to take your shoes off. They have socks for sale also. Walking through those bubbles is a true work out...hence dress comfortable. Two special needs children with different diagnosis's and they both had a great time with just two minor incidents that directly correlate with their special needs. Outside of that though this place was a great experience. Very vibrant and colorful and out together with a lot of artistic thought and creativity. It was a lot bigger than i anticipated also. If you have a little one, definitely come here! My family was in town so we decided to make a fun day for my son. Nana & papa wanted to start early so we purchased our discounted military/senior and parking tickets online. This made our entrance experience a little smoother. Strollers, drinks and snacks are allowed, or at least we weren't told otherwise. Before you enter the experience, utilize the restrooms first. There are only restrooms at the entrance. Since we prepurchase or tickets we were able to go straight in. Others had to stand longer in line and fill out a waiver. Once in, have at it!! Take lots of photos and enjoy you're time! If you have little ones, don't rush them. One major tip... Be careful of the glad windows or mirrors. My son almost walked through it. The ey should have had some type of sticker indicating not to walk through it, I can see a major sue job if someone got hurt. If you're looking for something to wear the kids out on a rainy day or just in general, this is the place to go. We took our eight year-old and our three-year-old and they had a blast. I loved all the interactive exhibits and it really got kids moving. Not just moving a little bit but really moving and somewhat sweating a bit depending on how fast they're moving. The exhibits are fun for adult adults and children alike, and again very interactive and engaging. I loved the first exhibit with all the big balloons and also the dome exhibit. As a parent, I really hated that ball pit. It was amazing but it was so hard to walk through as an adult. The kids could probably glide through that little easier but I had trouble putting 1 foot in front of the other and talk about a quad workout! We want the museum in about an hour and some change but you could really I've spent more time at each of it. If I were to do it again I would have spent at least 10-15 minutes at each one. Definitely take your time going to this museum, because there are about maybe 10 or so exhibits and usually you can't go back if it's a busy day. Sometimes the staff will let you go back to another exhibit if it's not too busy but Doan don't count on that. I recommend purchasing parking at the time of your ticket purchase because it's several dollars cheaper than at the gate. You can also park on the street for a little cheaper but then again that's at your own risk. Also - bring socks! The bubble pool requires them and it will save you $5.50 per person if you do. I would like to caveat this entire review with the fact that this place is expensive. While they do give deals to military and students, it's still pretty cost prohibitive. In addition, there's a lot of add-ons that make it even more expensive. For instance, you can do the VIP add on, but you're gonna pay more for it and I really did not like how you had to walk through one VIP experience just to get to the next and last exhibit. If you didn't purchase the VIP beforehand, then you're able to still go to that exhibit but it's gonna be five dollars per person. Again, they could've set it up a little differently but I feel like it's a bit nickel and diming to have folks who did not purchase the VIP walk through the VIP area to get to an exhibit. I took off a star just for the cost but otherwise found this to be a great place for the kids to spend a couple hours. The venue was dingy, run-down, and felt neglected--a stark contrast to the polished marketing they use to lure you in. While the local staff were kind, they are clearly hamstrung by a corporate management team that has zero interest in customer satisfaction or moral integrity. Prospective buyers: Beware. If anything goes wrong with your order--even a simple mistake--Fever will take your money and run. There are plenty of other event platforms that actually value their community. Horrible experience with the ticket vendor for Bubble Planet. My 21 month old daughter, like all young children, loves bubbles. Unfortunately, she caught a stomach virus 2 days before our scheduled event. I reached out to Fever 2 days before my scheduled event to exchange my tickets for another day. Instead of being understanding, they chose to hide behind their policy of no date exchanges. I would understand if this event was constantly sold out. However, there is always wide availability every day of the week. They want nothing more than to take your money and make no effort to work with their customers. Honestly, I'm giving this a 3 mainly for the pictures it's definitely a visually appealing spot. But overall I wouldn't call it kid-friendly. From the start, my experience was off-putting. When I asked about purchasing tickets, the manager (a blonde woman) seemed bothered and annoyed, which didn't make for a great first impression. I was there with my 3-year-old daughter and at one point she was playing with the balloons in the mirror area. The same manager came in and asked us to keep it down. I understand needing to maintain order, but it's a space marketed toward families she's three give me a break.The interaction felt unnecessarily harsh and honestly a bit personal. In terms of value it seems overpriced for what you get unless you're an influencer or TikToker looking for photo and video content. For that it's perfect. Since many of my friends had been talking about it, I decided to take them. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype, especially considering the high ticket price. For what we paid (over $100), I expected something much better. The attraction is called Bubble Planet, but surprisingly, the actual bubble room had almost no bubbles. There were a few small ones on the floor, and then they shut it off completely. One major issue is that once you leave a room, you're not allowed to go back -- which doesn't make sense for young kids who want to explore and revisit the rooms they enjoyed. Within just 25 minutes, my kids had gone through all the rooms and naturally wanted to go back and play in their favorites. When we tried, one associate told us we weren't allowed and had to leave. I explained that we had paid over $100 for just 25 minutes, but she insisted. Thankfully, the receptionist stepped in and allowed us to go back, which I really appreciated. Still, this "one-time-through" rule is not kid-friendly at all. It feels like the focus is more on making money than on creating a genuinely fun experience for children. There are many other places with lower prices and much better experiences for kids. If your main goal is just to say you've been there and get a few pictures for social media, then maybe it's worth a visit. It's more worth it to go to Balloon Museum in SF than this place. The exhibits are acceptable and they could have done a better job with the flow and layout of the exhibits. The aircon was very weak.. so throughout the experience, it feels like it is 78F inside. There are no ceilings on top of most of the exhibits, so you see the non-appealing roofs and a basketball score counter-- these kill the immersion. Exhibits were dirty, rubber ducklings were dirt and the bubble plastic pits was smelly. I am not sure how often they clean the exhibits, but they need to do it more often. Overall, i was disappointed in this experience. However, i would say that this is a good place to bring kids tho, just for them to have fun. read more
