We just had the best birthday party ever at Immersive Gamebox Stonestown for twelve 11-year-old girls, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We had checked out many party venues around the Peninsula, looking for a place that was fun, encouraged lots of interaction among the kids, and had a party space for them to eat and mingle afterward. IGB checked all the boxes. The Stonestown location is also incredibly convenient, with plenty of parking, lots of nearby food options for the party lunch, and stores like Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Sports Basement for parents who want to stay nearby after dropping off the kids. The staff made the whole experience even better. George was prompt, courteous, and helpful through the online chat, answering all of my many questions. When my wife and I visited in person, Destiny was just as wonderful. She had a clear can-do attitude and really wanted to make sure the party went smoothly. On the day of the party, Destiny came in early to open the store, set up the party area, and help with decorations. She was flexible with the game rooms as some kids arrived early and others came late, and she was helpful throughout the entire event, even helping clean up when a drink spilled. Most importantly, the girls had a blast. After an hour of playing, all of them asked to keep going, and several convinced their parents to let them stay and play more after the party lunch. We wanted to try something new and immersive, so we booked our visit online for the 6pm time slot on a Sunday night. This location is inside Stonestown Galleria on the 1st floor next to Target. When we arrived, it was around 5:30pm and the mall was super busy. Parking is always a challenge here so if you plan on visiting, plan on arriving early. We checked in with the lady as soon as we walked in. She was very friendly and helped us get started. We put on these hats with sensors on it. You can adjust them to fit your head. There were several rooms inside and it's very spacious. There is a bathroom inside Gamebox so you don't have to walk all the way to the mall's food court to use it. There are several games to choose from: Batman, The Floor is Lava, Squid Game and you can play up to 5-6 people (I think) I could be wrong so please check the website. We booked to play Squid Game for 60 mins which cost me $104 for 3 people. The game was challenging and it was that day when I learned that I wouldn't last in a real Squid Games challenge (lol). I loved the fact that it was interactive. You will get a work out playing this game. My hubby, my son, and I had so much fun! Cant wait to go back! read more

We went here for a 10 y.o. Bday party and had a wonderful time. It was easy to book online. The staff was super nice! We paid for a party package, which I'm glad was a deal because they didn't end up having decorations and the cupcakes were generic from a store. The kids devoured the pizza though, and there was plenty. They made sure that I could just show up with the kids and leave without having to worry about anything which is amazing! The kids had a BLAST playing the Box Party for the full hour, with games such as milking cows and climbing trees. It was so fun (and quiet outside the Gamebox) to watch as an adult too. Other parents can't wait to come back and play with their kiddos and obviously the kids gave rave reviews. Parking was ample at Stonestown, and the facilities were kept very clean, including the bathrooms. This place rocks! read more

Definitely a lot of fun!!! Check in was easy. Explanation of rules were just ok, it takes a while for you to figure out the huddles but once you get it you got it. You can bring in outside beverages but they also sell some basic drinks in case you get thirsty. They will bring you to your room and give you instructions on how to navigate. We did squid games. You wear a visor headset to play with a couple of friends. The Escape AI was more like an escape game where you find clues to get a key card to unlock things. It took awhile to solve, and we kept hitting the hint button. It is a fun activity to do and hang out with friends! read more

I think the Squid Games theme was definitely the best experience. I've since returned another couple of times and the games have paled in comparison. Upon our second visit, we decided to play psychedelic mansion. The games were a bit redundant and while we still had a decent time, it didn't make me want to come back and try other games. The only reason I came back for a third and final time was because there was a promo where I would get the next game completely comped. This past visit, we booked James Bunny for a group of 5. The host was running a little late, but that wasn't a big deal. However, when the game started, the volume was unbearably loud. It took a while for the settings to get adjusted, but it was quite jarring. The game started out okay, but it glitched midway. We attempted to call for help, but the host was busy on her phone, so a few minutes passed before she attended to us. By that time, we were able to progress so didn't need assistance anymore. The games were also a bit boring (it was the same 3 games but varying levels of difficulty). FYI: the games aren't really 30 or 60 minutes long as advertised. It seems like the clock starts ticking when you're getting settled into the booth and trying to get the headpieces adjusted. IMO that's not really quite fair. In comparison, escape rooms don't start the clock until your party is well aware of the rules and have watched the starter videos/gotten the intro spiel from the workers. Regardless, it's a 2 star experience on average. Unfortunately, we will not be returning anymore to this location or to any other Immersive Gamebox in general. read more

Came with my 3 and half year old on a Friday at around 6:30. Destiny was super helpful and eased my doubts about my kid being able to enjoy the game. My kid was hesitant at first but once she recognized the paw patrol characters she got into it. She definitely needed a lot of help in the beginning but she slowly adapted to the game. Overall it was better than I expected, I was cautious and got the 30 minute session, but she was ready to keep going once the game ended. My one small tip for gif at the end of the game is for the shorter kids to dance closer to the wall so that they can appear on the video. read more

We had my daughters 13th birthday here and the kids enjoyed! There was a gamebox room for the teens which was a 60 min long game to play and another for the younger who played two 30 min games. The parents were able to watch outside the game rooms and record as we laughed or cheered them on, haha. There were a few tables and chairs to put together in between the gameboxes with access to the bathrooms but not too big so it was more standing than sitting. It held a layout of 5 pizzas and a cake but not large enough to sit and eat with the things on there. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing was the space for the party was not too spacious but we made it work. There wasn't a parking space close to this venue so luckily we carried everything in a wagon. They have a party package where you can bring your own things like cake and pizza or you can purchase the one where they do set up, food, drinks, decor, cupcakes etc. The price was ok compared to other places we were thinking of, but wish there was a promo like birthday person was free or the normal rate price was discounted after the first 7 players. Overall it was a good turn out. There were 11 kids that played and all the parents are now thinking of doing a date night here another time to try ourselves. The games were super interactive and had plenty of choices to choose from. The staff can help decide on which would be best based on age, time, and cater to interests too. The other plus was they were able to pause the game when we got to the cake part of the party then resumed after to let us finish the games. I would definitely recommend coming here to celebrate a small group or try out some games with friends. read more

My friend and I were walking around the mall and decided to impulsively check out what Immersive Gamebox was. This place is located inside the mall on the ground floor, near Wetzel's and the inside entrance of Target. While we didn't have an appointment, we did get lucky in there being space for us to try a room. There seemed to be a birthday party going on, so this place seems great for big groups too! Our host, Edith, was so kind and super duper helpful in explaining what themed rooms they had. We did come in at a busy time; yet Edith was so kind and apologetic for any delays (even though we're the ones that came in impulsively, LOL!) Us two ultimately decided on the "Alien Aptitude Test '84" room. Although it was VR, I liked how the setup was that each player would wear an adjustable visor. This was good for us, as I do wear glasses, and it didn't cause any motion sickness as opposed to a traditional VR headset that you wear around your eyes. The Alien room was 80's themed, and I absolutely loved some of the 80's songs that were really playing during the mini games. "Hungry Like The Wolf" made me feel like I was in an action movie, haha! This room consisted of four tests, which was like pong, dodge ball, card shuffle memory, and maze runner (which was like Pac Man). We did not expect ourselves to get a workout in, but this was a blast! There are also drinks available for purchase such as bottled water or soda. There were also lockers available to store your belongings. At the end of our session, we were given a "purple card", which you can use to sign up for their loyalty program. Once again, big big shoutout to Edith for being super accommodating and helpful! She helped our first experience be great! I'm so excited to try this again soon. read more

We played the alien one first which was great for figuring out how to navigate the controls with our body. It had four tests including dodge ball, pong, card shuffle memory cards, and maze runner which was kind of like pac man. We were running around and had a blast! Squid games was also great. It was just like the games! It had all six levels and it felt super immersive. This is super great to do with a group or for a date night.
