After coming from visiting the doctor because of a painful kidney stone (thank you, doctor, for…read morethat amazing injection of pain med), we wanted to eat quickly and found this place in the name of Old Town streets. If I'm not mistaken, this restaurant belongs to a hotel, but I'm not sure.
It has a great aesthetic with an open roof patio, lots of plants, and its own brewery. Our server was less than friendly, but I think it's just a demeanor of the Czech people.
My son orders a liter size beer which was, if you can believe it, cheaper than our bottle of water. My son ordered some kind of soup, my husband ordered some schnitzel, and I ordered the trout.
The soup and the schnitzel tasted fine. I did not like my trout at all. I've had a whole fish at other European restaurants, and usually they cut it open and pull out the bones. Not the case here. Between working around the bones and everything swimming and butter, it was not an enjoyable meal. I never thought that I would think that you could have too much butter, but I was wrong.
This place was fine but I wouldn't put it on any list. If you happen to be in Old Town prague looking for a meal, you can find better. If you just want to have a beer or a drink and relax, this is your place.
