We got the following dishes: pickled cheese (interesting but good), pickled sausage (also interesting but good), spicy chicken wings (delicious! Probably my favorite here, but it's also very "American" and not authentic Czech food), and grilled spicy sausage (good; the sausage wasn't really spicy, but it was tasty and filling). We also got a beer flight with Demon (amber lager), Rohozec Cherry (cherry), Bakalar Honey (lager), Prague Beer Museum Real Deal Ale (IPA), and Porter (dark lager). The cherry lager was my favorite, but Demon and Bakalar Honey were good too. I've never been a fan of IPA beer, so Prague Beer Museum Real Deal Ale was okay for me, but it actually wasn't as bad/bitter as I thought it'd be, so that was a nice surprise. I was visiting Prague for Work & Pleasure. This spot became our "Staff Bar" during the work portion. Each night we would stop in and cap off the day. The Beer Selection was great. Pilsners, Dunkles, Cider, they have most every type on tap. The prices were great too! The Service.. well, it was non-existent. we figured that having been there every night for a week, getting to know the staff - that this would afford us some semblance of service. It never happened. The other turn off is cash only: Czech, euro, dollar, though unless you know about the exchange rate, you don't know. Other turn-off, TIP NOT INCLUDED, in about that large on the bill. The fact is tipping is not expected in Prague, good service is. The pretzels may have been made fresh but don't expect the soft yummy kind, these were hard as a rock. This was a great spot for lunch after walking all over the town in the morning. At first thought, the name didn't make me want to visit. It seemed like a tourist trap, but many other locals had recommended this place to us. They have a great beer selection. You can even try all 30 if you want. I loved their Kingswood Cider and their Cherry Lager. My husband tried many different beers and he enjoyed all of them as well. It's great that they offer 3 different sizes or flights as well. We heard that Prague is known for the steak tartare. So we had to get some. It came out on a platter with different add-ons and it was very delicious. The Prague Beer Museum Bar actually has no relation to the Prague Beer Museum. We had noted that Prague had a Beer Museum and were considering visiting it. We asked the bartender his thoughts on it, not expecting an honest answer. To our surprise, there was no affiliation between this bar and the museum, and he told us it wasn't worth the visit. This bar was worth a quick visit. We were able to sit at the bar, get some WiFi and drink some beers that weren't pilsners. While they had suggested flights, it was possible to pick your own beers in tasters. We opted for that route and tried any IPA or beers that looked hoppy. It was great because they were local beers, and not pilsners, however the beers still weren't the best. They did have a better selection than most places though. It was a small place and not too pretty to look at. I'm glad I paid it a short visit, but also glad I didn't spend a ton of time or money there. read more

We had finished a long day of walking and were looking for a good pub to lighten our load. At this point we had our fill of PU and Kozel (both are good but change is good too). This place rocks! Many flight choices so you can sample many czech beers (instead of just drinking pilsner urquell). We had the "hoppy" flight (non-IPAs) and the dark flight. Shocked!!!! Was surprised at the end of the evening that they finally decided to tell us that we can't pay with a card. Definitely something you should tell people before they are ordering, especially since we were on our last night in Prague and had spent all of our Korunas earlier in the day. I've been in Prague for five days and have already been here twice. Even though this is next to the Charles Bridge, the prices were exceptional. Both times I went, it was quite busy so the servers did their best to accommodate. The menu holds a lot of options for beer flights but their food is the happy surprise. The food menu is condensed because each item is superbly done. I ordered the cheese nuggets and spicy chicken wings and couldn't be more pleased. The cheese nuggets were made with hermelin cheese, similar to a brie, and served with a berry jam. AMAZING. The chicken wings were by no means small and tasted just as good as the cheese nuggets. Loved this place during our visit to Prague. We only went on one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had two beers from their extensive beer menu on tap. Served cold and quick. They do offer tastings, which a lot of people seem to order, but you can order tasting sizes of any of the beers and the sampler trays are not economical. There was a live band while we were there (from about 10 pm - midnight on a Friday) and they were great. Good location just off of the river. I would go back for sure. There is a ton of seating for large groups, available in the basement and upstairs. read more

We stopped here on the way back to our hotel to try some beers. The service was very good, our server was friendly. He shared some tips with us and talked about his travels. The beer is a little pricey for the area. But you're paying for their extensive selection. It's nice to come by once, but next time I'd probably keep walking for a less touristy spot. read more

Came here for some beers after watching a local hockey game. The selection was excellent. Lots of interesting local choices. The place was busy but the staff was courteous and quick. This is the first place we went for drinks/food after checking in our hotel which was literally a few steps away. The food here was delicious and the beer selection was obviously good. There are plenty of tourists eating in this pub so the waiters speak good English. This is also one of cheapest meals we had. read more

The flavor of Pork BBQ Ribs were good but texture an abysmal disaster! CZK 250 Undercooked and meat was stuck on the bone. Needed a hacksaw to slice through the meat. I think I will need dental work after this. Definitely not fall off the bone American style BBQ Ribs. Would highly discourage ordering this dish! Service was ok. The ladies work very hard walking up and down two flights of spiraling and speak decent English. But overall, Czech folks seem to just look angry and mean. Perhaps this is generics? Furrowed brows, frowning and no one seem to smile at us. I tried to break the ice by saying "Prosim" and "Dkuyu" but the frowns only got worse. Perhaps because I'm saying it wrong or maybe I'm a Chinese looking tourist (but I'm actually Canadian born Chinese American. My ancestry just happens to be Chinese.) Overall not a bad experience. Our first time walking in here we were quickly told they had no seats and it would be approximately 30 minutes or so before a table became available. Our second try was at a much better time. However pretzel was extremely hard. I'm not sure if that's how pretzels are from Czech but coming from Germany they're very different in size, texture and flavor. The beer was alright. I'm a big craft beer guy and the beer wasn't bad but certainly didn't impress. I think the local pils you can get anywhere on tap in Czech is better. My bill was 500 czk and I only had 2000 and 1000 bills. The bartender said "not a fucking chance" as in they didn't have change. I was lost for words. Didn't see how that was now my problem since they advertised that they are a cash only establishment. We got it squared away but it was an awkward situation. read more

This place was awesome!!!! I was recommended this place after going to Hemingway thinking that they served beer there. Right when I walked in I knew this was the spot for me. Grabbed a seat next to the window that faced the street, which made it fun to watch people walk by as a drank. I tried four different beers and highly recommend them: Lucky Bastard, Bizon, Demon, and Porter. All with the unique taste made my night a delight. I did not try their food since I really only wanted to drink and enjoy good European beer. Next time I find myself in Prague I will definitely come back to this place. read more
