You see, I was put in charge of decorations for a recent office event, and when I searched Yelp for "balloons," there weren't many search results. So I did the next best thing and asked Jared's opinion, since he works in the event industry... I called the number and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Lori really is the "balloon lady." She is the owner of Balloon Art, and is a pleasure to work with. I told Lori my vision for the event in our first conversation and we scheduled some time for her to come in to the office a few days later to check out the space we were working with. Lori was extremely professional and she ended up over-delivering on what we agreed on. We had balloon bouquets, balloon columns, and even an epic balloon drop that took place during the festivities! Unfortunately, not all of the balloons dropped as planned, but it didn't take too much away from the effect we were after. I walked in and was greeted right away by three girls filling balloons. Seems like they had a large order. One of the girls took my order and I paid for 7 balloons to be filled. The store was prepping for Halloween. There is SO much stuff to look at. I get overwhelmed and I could do so much crafting with what they have. It's like, wow. After a stroll up and down the aisles, I head back to the counter to check on progress. The young girl is working to get my order. Meanwhile, another young girl working on balloons and answering the phone too. She is basically trying to schedule an interviews for an open position. Frankly, I think she should have called the person back instead of trying to multi-task. All in all, I waited about 15 minutes for my balloons to be filled. Not bad. This is a busy location.
